Next round

Huck starts in with his total BS about the supposed struggles of the average American family. Tremendously effective use of demagoguery, using terrific conservative talking points to hide a big-gov't agenda AND to promote what George Will called today "economic hypochondria."

Romney does a great job responding saying the old truth that you don't help the wage earner by attacking the wage payer. Explains his point well. Huck then says he would get rid of all corporate taxes (because of his Fair Tax plan). Talks about getting rid of other taxes too, "getting rid of death..." Thompson makes nice, humorous, but understated endorsement of "getting rid of death." Droll line.

Giuliani does a nice job of saying he has a better record of lifting people out of poverty than anybody else. Backs it up with good, and effective sounding, stats. Then explains basic principles of welfare reform. Terrific answer!! Wow.

Thompson then explains his plan for an OPTION of tax systems. Explains it very well. I've always wondered why he concentrated on Iowa instead of NH because his message and persona are built for NH, if he had only given the state a chance.
