GOP Class Warfare

Terry Eastland, who has probably been more sympathetic to Mike Huckabee than anyone else at the Weekly Standard, writes about the "Republican as class warrior."

I just watched the segment you aired on Countdown the GOP's Class Warfare interview with a couple who are struggling to get off unemployment to save their home.
What they said rings true in my own life for I like millions of others, did not ask to be laid off from my job of over five years.
After months of paperwork, pleading and long months of fear my home loan company denied me not once but three times for a Modification. The first two times they refused me because I was working and my Credit and payment history with them did not reflect financial distress even with having lost my child support and living on cash advances they would not work with me.
I was laid off of my full time job this past Feb. and went on Unemployment but was able to find a part time job in April. It paid a bit less than Unemployment but I have interviewed for full time jobs there only to be turned down due to not having worked there long enough.
I went to NACA & HUD and niether one of them helped me like they advertised and claimed they could do. My home loan company First Franklin now owned my Bank of America just now denied me a Modification now saying I do not make enough money to qualify. to which I investigated them to find they never give Modifications. maybe BOA 13% but they never do. In fact they have now as of August Sold my loan to a Debit Collector which is the first step in foreclosure.
I have not been lazy I have been applying all over the State of Florida for work trying to keep my Claims licenses up and my courage.
I had to finally get food stamps which have already been reduced per what they say I bring home gross. I am all alone living in the home I raised my children in as a Single Mom for years. I had to spend my tiny retirement account and small savings to try to keep up my mortgage payments, Now with nothing to my name but tiny pay check to paycheck I sit here in tears watching these fat ignorant government retards talk about us victims of this economic tragedy like we are lazy beggars. I see dirty scared men every day begging with cardboard signs at the exits of Wal Mart just hopeing to get a hot meal. They wander into the woods to find shelter and these government pigs sit there with their comfortable home judging us? What are they smoking?
This is how our Nation has deteriorated into.??
How sad, I just wish they actually knew what is like to walk in our shoes. How frightened we are to see a sheriff come up to our doors telling us to get out. Where do I go with such a tiny pay check to live? This is so scary they have no idea what we as Americans are dealing with. I do not think even the President really knows for he has not gone after these banks to demand they comply with their bail out program to help us victims of this economic disaster they created with their capitalistic cleverness.
It is most likely a waste to time to even post my feelings for no one ever really cares. But thanks for reading them anyway. Tina in F
