NH Poll: Race Narrows

The latest Gallup poll from NH shows: Romney 34%, McCain 27%, Rudy 11%, Huckabee 9% and Paul 9% and Thompson 4%. This confirms what we have seen in other races-- a surge by McCain but not yet a significant drop off for Romney. Even more dramatically this suggests McCain's rise is at Rudy's expense. They may, at least in NH, be appealing to the same pool of voters. If Rudy is moving resources elsewhere and now just "probing" rather than making a push to win there, the result may be the "not Romney"/national security vote coalesces around McCain.
