I attended a few Huckabee events last week—to be detailed in a column early next week—and saw no evidence I should not continue to contest the now-omnipresent declaration, “Well, you’ve just got to like Huckabee.” Um, no. No, I don’t. Maybe a portion of the Republican electorate wants their very own right-wing Jimmy Carter to piously preen and moralize as he embraces class war rhetoric and nanny state regulations, but I’d rather go with someone Bill Clinton isn’t so wild about.
