Rudy Rips

Phil's interview with Rudy is up on the main page. Perhaps the most interesting comment by Rudy: "The one thing he's known for is health care. And the health care [program] is the thing he's abandoned in the rest of the country because he had to contain a very big mistake, which he realizes is a bad mistake, a mandate -- a mandate which is enforceable by a tax." Notice the word he describes for the fine -- "tax". This really does go to one of conservatives' concerns about Commonwealth Care and to Romney spokesmen's insistence that this was "universal health care with no taxes." If government is making you pay money it's a tax, the argument goes. With tax sensitive NH voters this may resonate.
