I mostly agree with Ramesh Ponnuru's points here -- Giuliani's nomination might
make the Republican Party less pro-life, but he won't win because
it has already become less pro-life. If he is nominated, it will be
because of his strengths as a candidate and a divided field. But I
do think it also shows the extent to which social conservatives
have suffered as national organizations like the Christian
Coalition have declined and the ones that have replaced them have
been much less effective.
