Ann Coulter's remarks have been reported
elsewhere. My views
on her and her affect on politics are no secret. I asked Matthew
Brooks, Executive Director of the Republican Jewish Coalition (the
group the major GOP presidential contenders will speak to next
week) about her remarks. He was blunt that her comments were
"indefensible, outlandish." He rejected the notion that her
comments should be attributed to conservatives or the GOP as a
whole, remarking that she is simply "in the business of being
provocative." However, the GOP candidates may well be asked about
this at their appearance and should have their answers ready.
