Re: Kurtz Spun?

Well, just in time to make my point the Des Moines Register files a tough report on Thompson suggesting he still believes Saddam had WMD's at the start of the Iraq War. (The article also briefly indicates that Thompson's variation on the marriage amendment may not satisfy social conservatives.) From the actual quotes from Thompson it's not clear precisely what Thompson is saying (that he actually had WMD's? that he had the intent to acquire weapons but possession of the actual weapons were not relevant?) but the story --from a local reporter -- is not favorable and will no doubt fuel a "here we go again" response from his opponents.
And this report came earlier today in the Register.(H/T First Read)
