Gallup Poll

This is a fascinating breakdown of GOP voter preferences by region, religion and ideology. The good news for Thompson -- he's even with Rudy in the South. The bad news: Rudy leads everywhere else and by a whole lot (ranging from 9 pts in the West to almost 30 pts in the Northeast). Rudy leads by 21 with moderates/liberals and by 7 with conservatives. Thompson comes within 3 pts for regular church goers (didn't they hear HE doesn't go?) but Rudy leads substantially with seldom and monthly church goers. Where is Romney in each category? Fourth.
