This rather revealing report indicates that none of the GOP contenders will get the nod from the Arlington Group nor be the consensus choice of religious conservative leaders. Thompson apparently had a shot but couldn't close the deal, in part because of his unwillingness to talk about faith (and his own church going habits) and in part because of his otherwise rocky start. Sometimes the Beltway consensus really does have ramifications. Romney and Rudy are breathing a sigh of relief.
