Yesterday, President Obama stated his opposition to imposing a travel ban on West African countries afflicted with the Ebola virus on the grounds that it would make the country less safe.
Yet when the FAA imposed the travel ban to and from Israel back in July it was done so on the basis that it was "a potentially hazardous situation." Well, the situation in West Africa isn't potentially hazardous, it is hazardous. Maybe it's because West Africa isn't Jewish.
Obama also indicated he is open to idea of appointing an Ebola "Czar". The other day I suggested that Obama would be wise to appoint Mitt Romney to such a position, but I am not holding my breath.
