Kids

There is a NY Times story out about Chelsea Clinton. A Democratic non-candidate's son was also in the news lately. I for one would like to take a "no kid" pledge. Unless the child may wind up in the cabinet I see no substantive reason to drag them into coverage of a campaign. Whatever the strengths and problems of the kids of all these candidates, they really are not relevant to the contest. We're getting plenty about spouses which, depending on their role, may have quite a lot of impact on the candidate, but kids? Less said the better, but I suspect I'm in the minority.
