President Bush's budget director Rob Portman
is resigning, citing the overused excuse that he needs to
"spend more time with his family" in Ohio. From The Washington Times:
Mr. Portman, 51, who has three
children, will be a power broker in Ohio, a key state in next
year's presidential election, campaign spokesmen said. Mr. Portman
said yesterday that he is considering running for governor of
Ohio.
Someone ought to tell Portman that is not
how to convince people that you want to spend more time with your
family.
