The British Prime Minister announces that he'll
resign on June 27. He actually hung on longer than many expected
after the ground that Labour lost in the 2005 election; at the time, I quoted from John O'Sullivan's summary of
the CW, which held that "if [the majority] hovers between 60 and
120, then [Blair] might survive a year." That's what happened, and
he survived two years.
I assume this means Gordon Brown will soon be PM. Odd that
Britain's leadership should be becoming less pro-American just as
France's leadership is doing the opposite, but there you go.
