P.S. That Boston Globe story is just bizarre. Exactly
two sources, both of them academics who focus on race, think that
ignoring Imus is a problem for Obama. The politcal professionals
quoted agree that engaging this issue would be dumb. Why is the
headline "Obama's silence on Imus alarms some blacks," instead of,
say, "Obama stays quiet on Imus flap?" You don't suppose that the
reporters (and the headline writer) have an opinion on the
matter, and that they're the ones who are alarmed, do you?
