Yesterday, I pointed to a poll showing growing
support for Mitt Romney in Iowa, with him in a strong third at 17
percent. Kathryn Jean Lopez declared, "that's MoMITTum. There may
be more where that came from." Well, today, a new Strategic Vision
poll is out in Iowa showing Romney
a distant fourth, at 8 percent. Giuliani leads with 25 percent. You
can argue about methodolgies, and obviously, it's early. But this
just reinforces my view that thus far, there is no strong empirical
evidence that Romney's buzz and strong organization is translating
into real support. At a minimum, the data is inconclusive.
