Strange Web Headline

Over at the Washington Post main page right now, the subhead for Michael Fletcher's "Will Obama Appeal to Blacks?" is:

The Ill. senator faces a delicate balancing act in appealing to both sides of the racial electorate.

Huh? Both sides? There are only two races in this country, and they are diametrically opposed? And all blacks think alike? The assumptions on which the editors at Washingtonpost.com rely border on racist.
