The Democrats wisely chose Steny Hoyer to lead their
congressional majority. The Republicans chose instead to stick with
the status quo, the old leadership. This, when added to the White
House foisting of Sen. Mel Martinez on the GOP as its titulaur
Party head, does not bode well for the Party's ability to
successfully rebound from its devastating loss of majorities in
both the House and the Senate.
