Philip, not sure if this is what you were looking for, but to
add to your observations that the GOP may retain the DeLay and
Foley seats, how ‘bout this one: William “Freezer” Jefferson may
keep his seat. Not to diminish the Abramoff scandal, but corruption
racket requires much more explaining than does the cash in the
freezer. And New Jersey will return Bob Menendez to the Senate.
Republicans appear to have (mostly) cleaned house — and Dems hear
and see no evil.
