Best Iran source reports on four new parallel tunnels under construction in north Tehran, in what is called Mini-City, that are designed to deny and deceive signals intelligence.

The tunnels, called the Hormuz Project, are 50 meters deep, about 150 to 300 meters long, and double concrete walled with a lead layer in between; also there is provision for fiberglass sound proofing. These measures are to shield radiation leakage and to muffle the loud whirring of a cascade array of P-2 gas centrifuge machines for processing uranium into the 90% purity necessary for a nuclear weapon. The tunnels are being built by the Hora engineering company which has its headquarters at Khatam Al Aribia, the main engineering headquarters of the Islamic Revolutionary Guards Council (IRGC).

The information is sourced to the NCRI, National Council for Resistance in Iran, headquartered in Old Europe at Paris, which feeds the intel entities in the EU as well as in the United States.

The significance of the revelation – there are photographs of the city suburbs with dotted lines identifying the position of the tunnel to anyone’s GPS -- is that Iran is deliberately half-hearted in its plans to conceal its acquisition of a nuclear weapons fuel cycle. Tehran wants its enemies to know that it is unafraid and confident; Tehran wants its enemies to know that the United States and the United Nations are conflicted and ineffective. Tehran does not worry that the US knows that the tunnels are under construction; Tehran knows that neither the US nor its ally Israel possesses the weapons, the systems or the will to attack and destroy a deep and hard site such as the Hormuz Project.

Only way to get at a world power with such a bloody-minded war plan is to use blockade or fire-teams. Either option, just the gaming of either option, will close supply lines from the Persian Gulf through the planetary choke point of the Straits of Hormuz.

Make my day, is Tehran’s message to Washington. Close down the Hormuz Project with aggression, we will close down the Straits of Hormuz with a minefield.
