Finally there is good news on the jobs front for the Obama
administration. Al Jazeera, or “Terrorism TV,” as it used to be
known for celebrating the three thousand Americans killed on 9/11
and other exploits by Osama bin Laden,
announced plans to create some 200 jobs in the United States
over the next six months — in its headquarters at the UN in New
York, in Washington, D.C., and in bureaus in Detroit, New Orleans,
San Francisco, and other cities.
“Imagine six or seven years ago, trying to find real estate for
Al Jazeera in Washington,” gushed Rob Wheelock, the former ABC
executive who is in charge of establishing Al Jazeera in the United
States. “We’re going to have signage just like CBS, ABC, CNN, CBN,
just like everyone else. We’re psyched.”
Perhaps the signage will include skull-and-crossbones, or some
other fitting image of human slaughter.
Yes, as Mr. Wheelock said, it is hard to believe the cable
network enterprise that did so many fawning interviews with the
late terrorist leader — and others chanting “Death to America” —
would have stood any chance of putting up its own news rooms in New
York, Washington, D.C., or any other American city during the
George W. Bush administration.
And that is another sign of how far our nation has regressed
over the past four years.
Even now, with the beginning of the second Obama term, Sheik
Hamad bin khalifa Al Thani, the ruler of Qatar, must be rubbing his
goatee in disbelief at how easy it is to open a large propaganda
network in the United States of America (which, at the outset, will
include seven “investigative reporters” in the D.C. office for the
presumed purpose of vilifying legislators who oppose Islamic
extremism or support Israel).
He spent $500 million to acquire the money-losing and low-rated
Current TV — owned by Al Gore and friends — which is still a
great catch because it has the potential to reach 41 million homes
in the U.S. on cable channels.
Half a billion dollars may sound like a lot of money, but it was
no more than a scrap from the oil sheik’s table. Still, it was more
than enough to compensate Gore for abandoning his green friends and
his green principles — in striking a deal with one of the princes
of Big Oil. His portion of the proceeds was one-fifth, or $100
million. Pobre hombre, even though he tried his hardest,
he didn’t act
fast enough to protect his share of the loot from the higher
U.S. taxes that took effect at the beginning of 2013.
Still, Al Gore is doing a great job of following in his daddy’s
footsteps to greener pastures in the purely monetary sense. After
losing his Senate seat from Tennessee in 1970, Albert Gore Sr. used
his political connections to help oil baron Armand Hammer, the head
of Occidental Petroleum, which struck it rich in Libya with the
help of visas that the elder Gore helped to procure when he was a
U.S. senator.
Al Jazeera has two faces. There is the Doha-based broadcast
center that has ceaselessly celebrated Islamic extremists (and is
also home to Al Jazeera English); and there is newly established Al
Jazeera America. Now we are supposed to believe that the face which
has always been contorted in the most violent rage is false (or at
least receding), while other represents the transition to a
peaceful and democratic future.
To believe that, you have to believe that the lion will lie down
in peace with the lamb. That is to say, you have to believe that
all it will take to quell the Islamist extremists who hate
westernization in all its forms — most especially, the
emancipation of women and open acceptance of homosexuality, but
also including an in-built hatred of democracy and representative
government — will be to break bread on a regular basis with
politically correct progressives, who share their distaste for free
markets and limited government, but nothing else beyond that.
And Obama is clearly one of those believers in the lion lying
down with the lamb.
Said Obama to a group of political donors: “He [the Emir] is a
big promoter of democracy all through the Middle East. Reform,
reform, reform — you’re seeing it on Al Jazeera.”
Unfortunately, that is false, false, false.
In fact, on Obama’s watch, Egypt, the largest and long one of
the most westernized and open countries in the Arab Middle East,
has fallen under hard-fisted and increasingly intolerant Islamist
rule — and other countries are following.
While the Qatari Emir is rich beyond belief — and able to host
major tennis and golf events — he is also using his money to
foment unrest around the region — contributing to Hamas,
Hezbollah, and others who regard America as the “Great Satan.”

Perhaps their Signage could include Danny Pearl's Severed Head. Or the Acid Burned Faces of little girls who tried to go to School. Or a Woman buried in the ground up to her shoulders because she could've get 4 Male Witnesses to testify that her Husband had his Friends GANG RAPE her.
Answer this question: Who loves Money (and little Boys and Girls) more than Liberals? Who has the Most Money in Congress? Who has the most Millionaires and Billionaires? How many Million$ has Ex President Rapist collected, since leaving office, after being Impeached? Who are the White Politicians that Demand Special Treatment for Minorities from inside their Mansions and their Compounds, in towns like Chappaqua and Hyannisport, where the only Minorities you'll find are the ones Mopping the Public Toilets, and the ones on the Wanted Posters at the Post Office.
How is it that the Pols screaming Loudest for Global Warming, are the ones with the Biggest Cars, the Biggest Private Jets, and the Most Mansions?
How is it that the Pols screaming Loudest for "Worker's Rights" and UNIONS, own the most Restaurants and Vineyards that only employ Non-Union Illegals?
And, of course you have the Heroes of The Women's Movement. Guys like The Rapist, Serial Misogenyst, Serial Molester, Serial Groper, Indecent Exposer, Sex with an Intern, and a Lifelong Spousal Abuser of his Wife - Bill Clinton. Along with Robert - "Is that your Daughter? How old is she? Nine, ya say? She's really pretty. HOW MUCH?" - Menendez.

Al Gore and his Jewish partners, among them, socks on rubbers off Eliot Spitzer, have made a fortune bilking the Emir of Kuwait. The whole deal has been blessed by Ben Stein of this site, a dear personal friend of Spitzers. All the fellows who sold the network are firm Zionists. If the Emir of Kuwait supports terrorists and I agree he does, why do we use his ports and other facilities? If terrorism is so bad, why do we support the racist and terrorist regime in Tel Aviv? I start the morning everyday reading at this site. I go during the day to Drudge, Haaretz, The Milwaukee Urinal, The London Telegraph, Arutz Shiva, Free Republic. Lew Rockwell, Antiwar.com, human eveents and others that take my fancy. I on occasion vist Al Jazeera. Read around and think you guys, it does the brain good.

I ment the Emir of Qatar, not Kuwait who is another American stooge. It is hard to keep all the stooges separate what with the stooges in Yeman, Iraq, Saudia Arabia, Bahrein, Dubai, etc.

First no one is going to forced to watch. Second, it never hurts to know how others see you. You can learn a lot that way. Sean in particular could learn a lot. He can talk "American exceptionalism" all he wants on his show, but given our actions abroad that doesn't play well to a lot of people overseas. A book I'm reading sums it up nicely by the way, "torture is always something the other guy does to your people, it's never what you do to others." How very true.
With regards to Hamas, remember folks, Israel was one of the initial supporters. They gave money to them thinking that a religious group would be effective against the PLO. They were wrong but maybe if they hadn't supported Hamas to start with? . . .
Egypt. I would once again ask Mr. Wilson and all of you, to tell us what say Reagan if he had been president would have/could have told the million demostrators in the streets of Cairo that would have made a difference, that would have ended the demonstration and kept a kleptomaniac (70 billion dollars stolen, much of it OUR money) human rights abusing dictator in power. Please any of you tell the class what any American could have done/said that would have changed things especially since the demostrators themselves said they simply didn't care what we said or did they were determined to act. Go ahead, tell us what YOU would have done. And if you can't come up with anything, then quit complaining about what HE did.
Albert Constantine Jr.| 2.20.13 @ 7:56AM
“…it never hurts to know how others see you. You can learn a lot that way…”
Since you are announcing that you feel this way, Nathan, I will take this as an invitation to tell you that this other sees you.
The article by Wilson is about 15 small paragraphs long, with the subject being Al Gore’s deal to sell Current TV to Al Jazeera. Your response was almost as many sentences as the article had paragraphs. By your fifth sentence you brought up the pet subject of torture, which the article does not deal with at all. A single word mention of Egypt and Hamas as they relate to the subject of the article was all you needed to go out on your tangents to criticize the US and Israel.
Clearly, the arrival of Al Jazeera in an additional 41 million homes (the subject of today’s article) through Al Gore’s sale of Current TV to them is an opportunity for you. I highly recommend that you take your version of Blame America First to their airwaves, where Jack in Wi can cheer you on as you bash the US, Israel, Reagan and neocons.
Albert Constantine Jr.| 2.20.13 @ 7:57AM
When it is found that the ratings for that are even lower than what Keith Olbermann got on Current, I’m sure that there is an audience for your thoughts in the Middle East. I wouldn’t recommend that you broadcast from there, though; while they might applaud your criticism of the US and Israel, your thoughts on their torture might merit you getting to do a little investigative reporting in an up close and personal manner, a little less academic than your books on the subject.

A prominent member of Chicago’s homosexual community claims Barack Obama’s participation in the “gay” bar and bathhouse scene was so well known that many who were aware of his lifestyle were shocked when he ran for president and finally won the White House.
“It was preposterous to the people I knew then to think Obama was going to keep his gay life secret,” said Kevin DuJan, who was a gossip columnist in Chicago for various blogs when Obama was living in the city as a community organizer and later a state senator.
“Nobody who knew Obama in the gay bar scene thought he could possibly be president,” said DuJan.

From what I can see of Al Jazeera English, it is more balanced then most American media. It also has a quite free comment section, like this site. So let there be many opinions. It is disgraceful that we don't have a real debate about Middle East policy in this country. Gore and his pal Eliot Spitzer are both firm Zionists. Apparently, his Wife's Niece is 'The Whore of Africa' and was worshipping at her Black African Muslim King's dick, for a while. It's true. Her "Boyfriend" was a Black African Muslim King. At least that's what Jack said.
Now, apparently, she's shacked up with another African. An African American. He's not a Muslim. But he is a King. He's the King of Crack (Her's, and the Cocaine kind) of 42nd Street.

Al Jazeera is considering a reality show with a polar bear and Algore on an ice floe to see which one will survive the ravages of anthropogenic global warming.
I'm betting on Algore, as his insulation is far more substancial than that of the poor polar bear's, not to mention, his head is so hard, it can bash through a foot of ice to grab a fish.

I heard it was Al Gore and Manbearpig.

For Al Jaz's logo, I propose a headless horseman...
Will there be late night reruns of their best attack America footage...
T.I.C.: Although real "investigative reporters" should be refreshing... and offer something for our MSM lapdogs to aspire to.
In looking for the positive... I see an interesting scenario to come for some non-Muslim employment and hiring lawsuits.

My my. Since when is name calling a "conservative" trait? Such bad manners really. Obviously no real "southerners" here. Sad.
Of course the "reverand" Al is a hypocrit. You have to love the house he has that uses more electricity than a city block, he buys offsets from a company he conveniently owns. Everyone knows this. I don't defend him in the least. But I don't defend "conservative" hypocrisy either.
TLP, the book I'm reading (I've asked you before, what books if any do YOU read?) documents how the Israelis systematically tortured Palestinians, and in the case the author documents they got lit up in an Israeli court for it. And the people they abused? Innocent of any wrong doing like most everyone who gets abused. Now defend that behavior all you want. Defend the policy makers who told the soldiers to do it and the soldiers who carried out patently illegal orders. Feel free. Whatever is being done to them does not justify that kind of behavior. Or does it?
Gore and others like him are jokes. Never said anything different. But if people do not break laws, have not, until they do they have rights which cannot be taken from them. Unalienable rights doctrine anyone? When I see you and others here walk on water, then I'll pay more attention. Until then . . .
Drunken Sailor| 2.20.13 @ 10:23AM
Nathan, you are a one trick pony. Torture, torture, torture. That's all we ever hear from you. You love to point out what torture you believe the US and Israel used but not a peep out of you about the methods of Hamas, Hezbollah, are any other nation.
WE GET IT, YOU ARE AGAINST TORTURE. Can we move the F*ck on now?
Bob Grant| 2.20.13 @ 10:33AM
"Israelis systematically tortured Palestinians,"
Ask any Palestinian within the safe (and functional) confines of Israel and they'd tell you a different story. The conversation would be "confidential", of course.
You see, SANE Palestinians love living in Israel because of the opportunities it provides themselves and their families. That is, provided they don't do something stoooopid like put on a vest and walk into a crowded mall or onto a bus.
These Silent Majority Palestinians you will never read about in that book or yours.
CJW| 2.20.13 @ 11:01AM
The Arabs residing in Israel have more civil rights and freedom than any Arab living in any Arab country. Ask any Arab whether he would prefer to live in Israel or Libya, Egypt, Iran, Sudan, etc. And ask the young Arab women whether they would like to reside in Israel or stay in Iran, etc and get killed for wearing makeup or going out on a date.
Bob Grant| 2.20.13 @ 11:17AM
CJW,
Pride is a bitter pill to swallow.
SUBVET| 2.20.13 @ 10:39AM
nathan........what was the name of that book ??
George S| 2.20.13 @ 10:46AM
I'd like to read that book, it would add to my scholarly collection that includes the origin of what some falsely call 'blood libel': "Jews need the blood of a Christian child, maybe, to mix in with their Matzah."
Since I read that and the author "documents" it, it must be true. To think that Jews have been using their own blood as a weapon in their quest for global commercialization. Now defend that behavior all you want.
markenoff| 2.20.13 @ 5:26PM
Put it right next to "The Protocols of the Elders of Zion" and "Mein Kampf". Wait, that's Jack in WI's bookshelf.
TLP| 2.20.13 @ 1:20PM
Maybe if the Palestinians weren't spending all of their time trying to KILL ISRAELIS.
They wouldn't have to worry about that kind of stuff.
Maybe if the Palestinians weren't Killing Israeli Women, their Kids, and the Unborn Baby in their Wombs, while driving in their Cars to the Store. They wouldn't have to worry about that kind of stuff.
Maybe if the Palestinians weren't breaking into Israeli's Homes, in the middle of the night, and Killing them in their sleep, and taking pictures of themselves DECAPITATING Three Month Old Little Girls. They wouldn't have to worry about that kind of stuff.
Maybe if the Palestinians weren't Firing Thousands of Rockets into Israeli Cities, every year. They wouldn't have to worry about that kind of stuff.
Shall I continue?
Cause, I know how Stupid you are.
Frekki| 2.20.13 @ 1:39PM
"and in the case the author documents they got lit up in an Israeli court for it"
Well, well, you admit then that Israel has fair courts. Name anytime the Palestinian courts have prosecuted their own for killing Israelis. Anytime.
Occam's Tool| 2.20.13 @ 8:35PM
Nathan: Palestinians torture and kill their own as a matter of government policy. Israeli courts prosecute those who torture Palestinians. You see no difference between these two forms of government?
Blithering idiot.

Journalists with no moral scruples? Isn't that kind of like saying the Pope is Catholic?
Occam's Tool| 2.20.13 @ 8:32PM
Journalists have morals very similar to those of Jackboot Jack on child molestation: none.
nathan| 2.20.13 @ 10:59AM
Subvet, George: The book is "Unspeakable Acts, Ordinary People, The Dynamics of Torture" by John Conroy. I also routinely suggest Ghost Plane, and also Torture and Impunity.
I'm more than aware of the stuff Christians three at Jews about sacrificing babies. This ain't it.
Why focus on America in particular? Because we were the ones who demanded Nuremburg and Tokyo. We helped draft and signed Geneva. We are the ones who light up others over human rights abuses. Now, if we're going to talk it, we simply have to walk it. I can't control others, however ghastly they are, and no question they really are just as the nazis were, I don't control them. But my country, well I live here, and I want MY country to play by the rules we established. I don't want OUR principles violated for any reasons. Look at the congressional report, pay attention to the 30o page summary. THEN defend Cheney, Bush and the rest. Read McCoy's b0ok and then defend what we did. In Conroy's book he takes three cases, a Chicago police case, the Israeli case, and a Northern Ireland case. He does a detailed look at Milgram. Based on what I read on this site, a lot of you would be in the 60 percent that complied with the guy in the white coat in that experiment.
I'll make a deal with you all, I'll stop when I see people quit defending such nonsense. But I refuse to be Martin Niemollor.
Albert Constantine Jr.| 2.20.13 @ 11:34AM
“I don't want OUR principles violated for any reasons”
It sounds like you’re saying, Nathan, that the Constitution is a suicide pact, despite what Justice Jackson (who also performed at Nuremburg) said.
TLP| 2.20.13 @ 1:24PM
And, who the Hell is John Conroy?
That's like DickRed sighting "Twitchy" as his Reputable Source, yesterday.
Albert Constantine Jr.| 2.20.13 @ 1:56PM
I was going to say it was the guy who wrote "The Great Santini" and "The Prince of Tides", but I think that it Pat Conroy (if we all were lined up alphabetically, either would like be right in front of me, though).
markenoff| 2.20.13 @ 5:29PM
But its not torture when SUSPECTED terrorists and their families are killed by missiles launched from drones. You see, they don't suffer.
Yes, killing suspected terrorists and their families with missiles launched from drones is entirely within the framework of our principles as far as Nathan is concerned.
JP| 2.20.13 @ 11:29AM
"I don't want OUR principles violated for any reasons. Look at the congressional report, pay attention to the 30o page summary. THEN defend Cheney, Bush and the rest."
Err....Obama has been President going on 5 years. Reid has run the Senate going on 7 years. The Dems have expanded everything Bush/Cheney have done. Yet, you persist in calling the WOT a GOP thing. Go back to Koz, Huffpo, or whatever rock you call home.
TLP| 2.20.13 @ 1:26PM
They've not only Expanded them.
They've Expanded them EXPONENTIALLY.

Al Jazeera is a propaganda tool of the Qatari government and their fellow Wahhabist gulf Arabs in Saudi Arabia. Al Jazeera has been doing America's bidding in Syria and Libya acting as a propaganda tool to rally Wahhabist/Salafist fanatics against the regimes of Ghaddafi and Bashar al Assad. What Fox News is to corporatism and neoconservative blowhardism that's what Al Jazeera is to the Sunni Muslim world. It's a Qatari and Saudi propaganda machine. There shouldn't be a problem with Al Jazeera setting up shop in the states nowadays since the US government now aligns itself with Sunni fanatics in Libya and Syria.
Marc Jeric| 2.20.13 @ 3:02PM
That gallery of far-left rogues manning the new Obama administration – Kerry, Brennan, Hagel, etc. will complete the “transformation” of America. They are intent on implementing the unfinished portion of Obama’s April Spring program of installing jihadist governments all over Northern Africa and the Middle East, thus leading to a lasting piece there after the annihilation of Israel and the 2nd Holocaust. “Negotiations” with Iran and North Korea will end up by these acquiring full complement of nuclear arms and necessary rocketry. The second Nobel Prize for Peace for our Marxist Muslim President will surely follow after these “accomplishments”.
Occam's Tool| 2.20.13 @ 8:31PM
Gold is dipping to under $1600.00/oz. Good time to buy. After the USA is hit with a WMD, I don't expect the good times to last.
Note: I look at these days we have now as the GOOD TIMES. My biggest investment is PM, which is entirely overseas. This is partly because I don't trust the US economy, and partly because I want to see certain people die of Lung Cancer.
Dimitry_Aleksandrovich| 2.20.13 @ 10:41PM
Gold and silver...I intend to invest. Times are not easy, at least I have a roof over my kids right? I also don't expect the US to survive in its current form but I don't think it will be do to a suitcase bomb. Our political and business elites have wittingly or unwittingly made their own WMD of sorts and when the federal government can no longer function because they can't barrow another buck from China to keep it running it will collapse and so will the union of states. Texas will be in pretty good shape as will California (resource wise at least) other less resource rich parts of the country may not fair that well.
PCC| 2.21.13 @ 8:42AM
First, I've been watching Al Jazeera English for years, and it is a serious, high quality news operation on a par with any of the US networks.
Second, its international news coverage is more in-depth and more balanced than any of the US networks. For example, you'd never hear a US news program utter the words "and now, for the Iranian view".
Third, I think the Republic will survive an alternative viewpoint, and may be the better for it.
WaffenSS| 2.21.13 @ 9:57AM
Good call PPC, I agree, an alternative view is needed in the media. Even if it's wahabi, etc., etc.. Up to the eighties, there were multitudes of news outlets, giving readers the opportunity of exposure to view points not avialable in todays media. The U.S. has major military presence in Qater, major military presence. We, (the U.S.), run operations in the lower Arab Peninsula from Qater. Qater is, of all the shiekdoms in the Emirates, is the most progessive. Allowing women to be human beings. Without fear of being genitialy mutilated.
