From Kill Romney to Kill the Constitution

An Orwellian inaugural address and a backwards march to another failed utopia.

These are the political descendants of those who tried to write slavery into the Constitution — the Dred Scott decision, written by the liberal Andrew Jackson appointee, the slave-owning Chief Justice Roger Taney. In which a liberal court declared blacks were not human beings and thus their right to anything other than literal chains simply did not — and never would — exist. Then there was the brainchild of segregation, ruthlessly enforced for decades by a long succession of liberal Democrats at the federal, state, and local level, in which blacks were denied their liberty to vote, eat in restaurants, sit in the front of a bus or even marry outside of their race. Lynching? Democrats made a specialty of this one, refusing repeatedly to outlaw the denial of a basic right to life to black Americans, instead empowering the Ku Klux Klan — the Klan in turn a pillar of support for a big government.

The modern versions of all this? The modern restrictors of liberty and freedom who in the past were slave owners, segregationists, lynchers, and Klansmen — all key components of the Democrats and the progressive movement?

How and who specifically will manage this backwards march?

How specifically will the Constitution be assaulted? And what are the envisioned results?

This time the targets will be the First and Second Amendments… free speech, religious liberty, and the right to bear arms.

And the allies arrayed to strip these?

Can you say the National Education Association? The Sierra Club? Greenpeace? The Communications Workers of America? The NAACP?

Can you say the Obama campaign team turned into the post-election Organizing for America?

Can you say MSNBC? Tom Brokaw, Chris Matthews? How about CBS and Bob Schieffer…and CBS political director John Dickerson? More on the latter in a moment.

Let’s start with the president’s liberal allies.

Over at the Washington Free Beacon Matthew Continetti has put the spotlight on a significant story.

Continetti zeroes in on a little noticed report in the far-left Mother Jones magazine by writer Andy Kroll. What was Kroll’s headline:

I haven't watched a speech of Obama's in almost 5 years. It is far easier on the blood pressure just to read about it. As for Romney, I said if the party nominated Romney it would be destroyed. We ran Obama light. He was for endless war around the world just like Obama. Both were controlled ny the bansters, warmongers and kleptocrats. The whole election was an echo not a choice. The American Revolution was a movement based on ideas, painstakingly argued by serious men in the process of creating what would become the freest, most prosperous nation in world history.

The French Revolution was a revolt of the mob. It was the father of the Bolshevik revolution, Nazi Party, Mao, Pol Pot, and the moronic "Occupy Wallstreet” crowd.

One major difference is that Americans won freedom and greater individual rights with their revolution, creating a republic. France’s revolution consisted of pointless savagery, followed by another monarchy, Napoleon’s dictatorship and then an actual republic 80 years later.

Both revolutions are said to have come from Enlightenment thinkers, the French Revolution from Jean-Jacques Rousseau and the American Revolution from John Locke. That's like saying Reagan and Obama both drew on the ideas of 20th Century economists — Reagan on Milton Friedman and Obama on Paul Krugman.

Locke was concerned with private property rights. His idea was that the government should allow men to protect their property in courts of law, in lieu of each man being his own judge and police force. Rousseau saw the government as the vessel to implement the “general will” and to create more moral men. Through the unchecked power of the state, the government would “force men to be free.”

But, as Robert the Bruce put it to Wallace: "These men have Lands, and Castles. (Power. Prestige. Titles, and Toadies.) They have much to lose in a Battle against Longshanks (Obama). And, just as it happened in Braveheart. When we need the Nobles most of all, they will leave the Battlefield (Abandon all of our Principles, in return for a Peaceful Life in the Minority) and to Hell with the Country and the Horse it rode in on.

Romney won a higher percentage of the white vote 59-61% than ANY GOP candidate running who wasnt an incumbent. Only two GOP candidates ever got a higher percentage of the white vote than Romney did in 2012. Reagan got 64% in 1984 and Richard Milhouse Nixon got 66% in 1972.

Also while liberals celebrate the demise of the white majority, there is not a single successful nation in the world that is majority brown or black. NONE.

What is needed is a bunch of Conservative politicians with the cojones and ability to articulate the destructive path in which we are heading down. They need to be relentless. The electorate needs to put people like this in positions to change our direction. Now there isn't a right answer and you can make an excellent case for either one, for example giving the parameters I set, 800 million during a depression would have even more spending power, people would be trying to raise cash so you could buy Mansions, and luxury goods on the cheap, you could set yourself up REAL nice and still be able to donate many millions without even coming close to to going below 500 million, as for me i would take the 500 million, I don't want to see violence, or sickness. This work will then inevitably earn Obama his second Nobel Piece Prize (his time for a real accomplishment – not like the first one given only on the basis of Hope & Change).
We are well on the way to the bright future of socialism, or, rather, communism. What is left to do in the near future, after the nationalization of our health care system, is to nationalize our energy (oil & gas, coal, electricity companies) and transportation (trains, trucks, airlines) industries under the “cap and trade” regime imposed by the Global Warming Hoax (which, after 16 years of cooling, turned into the Climate Change Scam).

It's not really hard to imagaine a White House political director for Ronald Reagan would write such hate filled tripe.

Looking at the history of debt in America you see there were a few times when the debt doubled or more in one president's two terms. In each case it involved either a depression or major war. That is, until Ronald Reagan. Reagan was the first president to more than double the debt in his terms. Combined with GHW Bush, who continued the tradition as best he could, the two of them managed to quadruple the national debt.

Clinton broke that pattern, but GW Bush restored it by doubling the national debt in 8 years, then he turned a small scale depression over to Obama.

If anyone is going to destroy this country, it is the republican party, aided and abetted by Jeffrey Lord, and by the American Spectator.

I'm not able to decide if you actually read the article or if you scanned it and decided a repeat of deflecting talking points from the BO campaign would be a worthy response. Either way you are proving the exact point the article was trying to get across, anyone that doesn't "toe the line" ideologically will be diminished with demonizing statements, and/or off topic subject matter will be brought up to confuse the issue in an effort to throw up a smoke screen to hide the true intent. You do understand the article wasn’t about the debt, don’t you? If you're capable, you may want to reread it objectively and consider what you and the rest of us will lose if this campaign succeeds.

And it's not really hard to believe that a Kool-Aid drinker can ignore the fact he helped the Liberal Nixon get in for a second term.

"Executive Privilege" was such a horrible thing to invoke, you guys told us... until the Scumbag-In-Chief used it to hide WHY he and his Attorney-General used the Federal gun cops to send "assault weapons" to drug gangs. Then it was great.

Don't know WHY you're a hypocrite. It doesn't matter. You're the enemy. Make sure you watch every sunset, you may not see another.

The problem, again? The big tent has all those undesirables in it, so we won't use it this term, either. Worked for Reagan, but we won't use it.

Another Lee Atwater will do FINE. A guy who gets the idea - it's not enough to kill the other guys ONCE. You do it again, and again, and again... and then you kill them some more. Never let up on the scumbag at 1600 Pennsylvania - determine just what it will take to send him home bleeding from a hundred peptic ulcers and line up the money and the talent to do it three times over.

Then do it.
Then do it again, and again, and again.

Since the necessary talent won't necessarily be found at Liberty University, it's necessary to give up things like trying to shoehorn your favorite religion into the national budget, or gentrifying bigotry.

Oh, you can stick with hating people who can help you win. Hope you like your nanny state extra-intrusive.
