Barack Obama: From Beginning to End

Rear view shows what we can expect in future.

Intelligent people across the country are asking out loud whether another presidential term for Barack Obama actually will be as bad as we expect it to be.

Unfortunately, it probably will be.

Because he was as horrible, as disdainful of the Constitution and of decency, fair play and good judgment, as he was in the first four years, imagine what he can do now that he needs not worry about re-election. A look back serves as a reminder of how bad he has been already, so that good Americans can start figuring how to counter the worse Obama still to come. Herewith, then, lines from either opening or closing paragraphs of my prior columns on the Occupier in Chief, to remind us, as if we needed it, what we’re dealing with.

Sept. 18, 2008: “Rhetoric aside, Obama is about as much in step with the majority of Americans as Britney Spears would be if she were trying to foxtrot with Fred Astaire.… Strip away Obama’s deep-timbred voice and his puffball platitudes, and what remains is nothing more than an academic radical using Chicago machine politics to grab a power base and using smoke-and-mirrors to project a pleasing image.”

Nov. 6, 2008: “It will take very focused, very intelligent, very skillful action by conservatives to stop this creeping subversion of a free society. This is a whole different political battlefield than any on which we’ve fought before. And we haven’t yet found our Omar Bradley.”

March 13, 2009: “If this be treason, make the most of it. No, not treason against this wonderful nation. But this column may sound suspiciously like treason against the cult of Obama, and against his hagiographers in the establishment media, and against the very idea that this president actually loves this nation’s liberal, republican, constitutional order. Consider this also to be treason against the myth that our president is a man of deep, or even average, integrity.

“Barack Obama is a radical’s radical and a man whose ego vastly outstrips his prior accomplishments. He is dangerous, and after just seven weeks he already is leading this country into disaster.”

April 16, 2009: “Let’s cut through all of Barack Obama’s baloney. His speech on the economy at Georgetown University on Tuesday was a testament to the massive ego of a callow leader with grandiose pretensions bordering on megalomania. Everything he outlined in his vision for a near-Utopian economic future is designed to come about through the intervention of a government central planner — his own Oneself — combined with the coercive force of government to make it happen.”

May 15, 2009: “If somebody were deliberately trying to undermine the very fabric of these United States, he would first vow not just to change its policies but to completely ‘change America,’ and then would do just about everything Barack Obama already has begun to do as president.”

Oct. 23, 2009: “We will not be intimidated, we will not be bullied, we will not be silenced, and we will not lose. Barack Obama’s thugocracy is dishonest, dangerous, and malicious, but it cannot be stronger than the aroused might of a free people.”

March 5, 2010: “There is something way off balance in the character of Barack Obama. Something in the realm of zealotry, with a touch of megalomania, and perhaps an authoritarian impulse too. He combines Alinskyite tactics and outlook with an air of self-assumed moral superiority in a way that fails to respect the usual, small ‘r’ republican limits on American presidents.”

May 13, 2010: “Who the hell does Barack Obama, this morally preening, arrogant hypocrite, think he is? His vacuous, demagogic shtick about helping the ‘people’ fight ‘the powerful’ is getting so old from his lips, and already was so hackneyed even before he expropriated it, that it’s a miracle that even he himself can say it anymore without getting nauseated by his own oleaginous triteness. Obama spewed the same old effluvia Monday when introducing Elena Kagan as his nominee for the Supreme Court….”

Aug. 22, 2011: “This boringly ineffective would-be demagogue in the Oval Office keeps trotting out the same tired, petty, counterfactual lines in every one of his pompous, detached-from-reality speeches — and he did so again in his Saturday radio address. So shopworn is his refrain, and so counterproductive are his policies (both enacted and proposed), that the markets tank just about every time he opens his mouth, and the economy suffers with each minute he continues to occupy the White House. His resignation from office, in abject embarrassment at his failures, would be a great first step toward economic recovery, not to mention a balm to the souls of tens of millions of Americans sick of his condescension, his prevarications, and his incompetence.”

Oct. 21, 2011: “Civil unrest is President Barack Obama’s crutch, his comfort zone, and his trump card. That’s why he has encouraged the ‘Occupy Wall Street’ protest and its progeny across the country, despite significant political dangers to him for doing so. Closer looks at Obama’s career roots and at the protesters’ behaviors help explain both why the protests are worrisome developments and why the president actually likes them.”

Feb. 3, 2012: “By ineptness and, worse, by deliberate design, Barack Obama daily makes this nation weaker abroad, less free (and more authoritarian) at home, economically more feeble, and in the civic realm more bitterly divided than ever. Meanwhile, ominous developments crowd the world stage. In short, we’re in a big heap of trouble. The recent litany of Obama’s odiousness begins with his growing, unambiguous war against traditional Christianity….”

Yeah, so? He is a creature of Generation Whine, who were taught that everything they think is right, everything they demand is Law, and everything they want is theirs. All their lives, all they had to do was scream, and Mommy handed over the keys to happiness. Now they're screaming into a vaccuum. The man behind the curtain is not only not a wizard, but he is not a man. And he can yell "Wingardiam Leviosa!" for the next four years and not a feather will lift off. Obama is a product of a generation that thinks saying so will make it so. Let him try that for the next four years. Don't open your mouth to say him Nay. Let him keep on screaming magic spells and waving that magic wand, until finally the Occupiers understand that that trick never works and they're ready to try something that does.

And then don't give us another "electable" audioanamatronic robot who has been programmed to fail.

TLP| 11.27.12 @ 8:44AM

How bad can things get?

Let's look at Last Term's Highlights, shall we? And, remember........This was while he still faced a Reelection.

He took $900,000,000,000 in "Stimulus Money" and doled it out to HIS SUPPORTERS in the Public Sector Unions, and to his Big Donours and Bundlers, in the Form of "Subsidies" for their "Shell" Companies. He gave it to them. Then he UNILATERALLY Changed the Bankruptcy Laws to favour HIS PEOPLE, so that when these Front Companies went Belly Up - which they were always intended to do - Obama's Money Men got THEIRS first, skimming some off the top for their Benefactor's coffers. (Anyone wanna guess where all that money went, that John MFing Global Corzine "misplaced"? Or, why he hasn't been Charged with ANYTHING by that Blacks Only Ccksckr in the Justice Department?)

He had his Energy and Interior Secretaries FORGE DOCUMENTS to a Federal Judge, and then put in place an ILLEGAL Drilling Moratorium in the Gulf, up in Alaska, and up and down our East and West Coastlines. He remains, to this day - In Contempt of a Federal Court. (Sounds like a Misdemeanor to me. But then, I don't wet myself at the sound of the Halfrican's voice)

Does anyone know what became of the $20 Billion BP Shakedown Money?

TLP| 11.27.12 @ 9:00AM

He and his POS A.G. have been Complicate in the Brutal Murders of Hundreds of Mexican men, women, and CHILDREN, as well as two American Border Personell. The Blood of every single one of these people is ON HIS HANDS, as it was He who concocted a Plan to Purchase High Powered Automatic Weapons, inside of this Country, and then WALK THEM OVER THE BORDER, and place them in to the hands of the most Brutal Killers on this side of the Planet, in an effort to Drum up support for More Gun Control in this Country, on the backs of everyone that was Murdered by HIS GUNS. (Sounds like a High Crime, to me. But then, I don't watch his Speeches with a Kielbasa in my Mouth, and a Cucumber in the other end)

He's run up $6,000,000,000,000 in New Debt, with absolutely Nothing to show for it.

He took out a Checkbook from the Bank of China, and wrote a Check for $6,000,000,000,000 that he has no intention of ever paying back. And, that was the Last 4 Years.

As goes California, so goes the Country.

Indeed.

TLP| 11.27.12 @ 9:19AM

He has become a Human Wrecking Ball, where American Jobs are concerned. His Union Thuggies will continue with their Scorched Earth Twinkie Campaign. And, what they can't destroy? His EPA, his Energy Department, his Interior Department, his Liberal Judges, the Traitor - John Roberts, and his Neverending Tsunami of Business Killing Regulations will kill off any of the Straggling Surviving Businesses.

He will make his DEALS with his Russian counterpart. He will continue to string the Israelis along with his Words. "Just Words?"

He will never lift a finger to stop Iran. Never lift a finger to put down the Syrian Dog, like he did with the Libyan one. (Why is that? Think about it.)

He will continue to Stroke his fellow Marxists, South of the Border. Continue to Bow to his Chinese Bankers. And, continue his efforts to Honour the Vow of his Man-looking Bowlegged Queen, by "Changing our History, our Traditions, and they way we do things in this Country". And why not?

He has a Lapdog Press and Media, who's only wish is that, before they die, Black Jesus will use their Mouth for a Urinal, and their Face as a Toilet.

What can The Halfrican do with 4 more years?

Whatever he wants.

Peppermint Tea | 11.27.12 @ 10:49AM

What will he do?

Raise taxes on everyone.

Encourage businesses to leave the country.

Implement blanket amnesty to illegals. Give immigrants a democratic voter registration card at the border.

Unleash the EPA against all petroleum companies, industry, and farms.

Support all strikes.

Crucify George Zimmerman.

Seize business property, land, and employees.

Continue with trillion dollar deficits.
Continue the BLS lying about inflation rate.

Ban guns and bullets.

Permanently change the Supreme Court to wise Latinas and others with disregard for the rule of law.

Continue to blame George Bush.

Plot the election of 2016 for Michelle Obama. (Followed by the 2020 reelection of Michelle.)
Believe me, Michelle will take a larger role than just our diet.

Will the John Boehners of the world wake up? Just de-fund the government. Shut the puppy down for the sake of the country. Wait for a financial crisis, so you can blame it on Obama.

TLP| 11.27.12 @ 2:31PM

You really need to come to The Contest, this Friday.

You really do.

Ralph Novy| 11.28.12 @ 1:42AM

You're illiterate and a fool for believing so many lies, TLP.

Have you, at long last, absolutely no self-awareness?

Oldefarte| 11.30.12 @ 2:48PM

Your only "self-awareness" is what you see when looking down into your toilet bowl after taking a PURP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Oldefarte| 11.27.12 @ 10:11AM

All TRUTH indeed TLP, but as is said.....THE BEST IS YET TO COME!!!!!!!!!!

Russel| 11.27.12 @ 10:48AM

Agreed , and don't you just have a gut feeling that somone is going to say enough is enough ? . That we're sick and tired of this idiot wannabe dictator ruining our country ? . Maybe the best really IS yet to come .

Oldefarte| 11.27.12 @ 11:53AM

Russel: I was be facicious above witht the "best" comment. I wish I could share in your optimism, but I simply cannot. "someone"? I ask who would that someone be? We've had two bites at this apple and you simply cannot defeat stupidity, and I think that this nation is doomed because of same. I hope that you're right and I'm wrong, but don't think so. Our last chance was 11/6/12 and we blew it. It's over and done with!!!!

TLP| 11.27.12 @ 2:32PM

I hope you will be with us at The Contest, this Friday, ya Oldefarte .

Quartermaster| 11.27.12 @ 8:55AM

The GOP Establishment seems to be pushing the next electable moderate already. The Bush family has already seriously damaged the GOP brand beyond what even the Establishment could do by themselves, and now they want to give us Jeb?

Once more, with emphasis and passion - NO MORE BUSHES! They can also make that no more Romneys or McAmnesties as well. Give us someone to vote for.

Oldefarte| 11.27.12 @ 12:27PM

It no longer matters about what the Republican Party offers. This country is now permanently in the control of the radicals of the Democratic Party. The Castros, Chavezes etc never relinquish control once it is achieved!!!!!!!!!!!

Cobalt| 11.27.12 @ 7:42AM

"But this column may sound suspiciously like treason against the cult of Obama"

Shouldn't that be "high treason" since Obama acts like he is King?

At the very least Obama = sedition.

Louis Jenkins| 11.27.12 @ 8:23AM

So, Mr. Hillyer, what are you trying to tell us that we don't already know? I didn't vote for Obama the first time nor the second. Chances are none of the posters here did either. (Except for purp.) For those that did, they have inherited all of the above comments about Obama. They shall not be trusted.

Joellen| 11.27.12 @ 8:31AM

"We've spent four years losing to a dangerous fool". Yes, by a even more dangerously foolish nation of people who dont know or dont care how low we have fallen.

TLP| 11.27.12 @ 2:34PM

They don't care.

Occam's Tool| 11.27.12 @ 5:00PM

Well, at least Gold Prices will go up. And Silver.

Joellen| 11.27.12 @ 6:47PM

Me sighing, I know.

Oldefarte| 11.30.12 @ 2:44PM

I'm afraid that the only precious metal that will count in the long run is that found in weapons and ammunition!!!!!!!

LarryK| 11.27.12 @ 8:37AM

"We're doomed!" C3PO

Von Mises Jr| 11.27.12 @ 8:45AM

Remember that the Senate passed ObamaCare that funded contraceptives and abortion on Christmas Eve. The House passed the law on the first days of spring. These are not accidental.

So now we face a Mexican standoff where everyone that pays taxes may see an increase January 1st. Even the 50% that do not pay Federal Taxes will see their Social Security Tax go up by 2% of their income.
So Obama has the Republicans in a pickle where they can let taxes go up on 50% that pay Federal Taxes and commit suicide for the Party, or raise taxes on the wealthy by whatever the hostage holder demands and wreck jobs and investment.
Either way America loses.
Either everyone that pays taxes pays more reducing disposable income and we plunge into a recession, or Obama soaks the rich and we go into recession.
Or perhaps it will be a depression since we never really exited the 2008 recession if you use the real GDP and inflation numbers. And now eaither way, it will get much worse.

Bob Grant| 11.27.12 @ 9:53AM

Von,

National Review's Victor Davis Hanson suggests republicans should go along with a tax hike on people making over million dollars per year. His rationale was that since 8 out of 10 SuperZips voted solidly for obama, it's time to give them what they want: TO PAY MORE TAXES! Far be it from me, a person not in that income bracket, to prevent them from voluntarily paying more into the system. And to be honest, it feels weird at times defending higher income earners than myself for the sake of economic growth. Let them pay more in taxes if that's what they desire. Elections have consequences!

He also suggests for republicans to allow obamacare to be fully implemented with the caveat that all exemptions are eliminated! EVERYONE will be part of obamacare! No carve outs!

Make obama and his supporters OWN IT!

Oldefarte| 11.27.12 @ 10:09AM

Amen BG, which they do so now own it. And the total destruction of this country will results from same sadly. When the stupids wake up and realize that their taxiation has increased 300%, shock and panic will ensue [but it will be too late then]. When the stock markets are crashing around them and their investments and bank accounts are adversely effected, it will be too late. When there are riots in their streets, it will be too late. These stupids had their chances in 2008 and 2012 and their ignored them to maintain diversity from a subversive POTUS. The horror of the realization of the truth will be frightening indeed!!!!!!!!!!!

Von Mises Jr| 11.27.12 @ 11:09AM

While I love VDH and read his columns, I do not think that his reasoning is sound. The people such as Buffet that are begging to have their taxes raised are crony capitalist/statist.
Buffet loaned BOA $5B with an 8% guarantee, I believe. He also gave money to Goldman and Walla; here comes the government bailout to make sure they do not suffer for hosing their investors selling them Sub-prime shit and shorting it with company funds.
Buffet owes about $1B in back taxes along with our pals in DC that don't have to pay their taxes.

I worked for a European company that had about a 70% tax rate. The top executives would come to NYC and drink $300 of wine at Windows on the world and charter a yacht and Captain for the weekend. If you earned $300K and pay 70% tax, you take home $7,500 per month. A $50K raise nets $1,250 more.
So you spend $1,250 per night eating and drinking on the company expense account and thousands sailing in the harbor all weekend.
Obama brags he gets paid over $250K. Did you know that it cost over $1B for his travel and entertainment last year? I would pay a few extra bucks in taxes to piss away $1B of Americans wealth per year if I were a statist crook.

Oldefarte| 11.27.12 @ 11:58AM

VMJ: You're 100% right. Buffett is typical of a senile old fool, who although financially intelligent, is ruled by his extreme socialistic and/or political correctness. Jeff Immelt of GE [as opposed to Jack Welsh his predessor] is also. The believe in GO ALONG IN GETTING ALONG, and this pied piper is leading them over the T&L cliff to destruction. I've given up, as there are no more solutions left. The best thing is to hunker down as best possible and wait for armegeddon!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

TLP| 11.27.12 @ 2:37PM

These guys are far worse than you give them Credit for.

They do what they do, for THEMSELVES.

And, FCK the Country.

Think: The Media.

Ralph Novy| 11.28.12 @ 1:38AM

Just THINK, TLP.

For maybe once in your life.

Eh?

Please?

... before you go "saying" things.

Oldefarte| 11.30.12 @ 2:36PM

It stinks in here....did someone just cut a Ralph Novy or a Purp?????

Oldefarte| 11.30.12 @ 2:41PM

True TLP, but the overall country benefits from same [via jobs, salaries, benefits, income, etc of capitalism]. What benefit does it receive from a socialist/Marxist/domestic terrorist which is destroying economically/financially/morally this nation?????????

Ralph Novy| 11.28.12 @ 1:34AM

Yeah. Flee to your bunker. Hunker down.

But -- above all -- shut the hell up.

We who will go on living above-ground don't need your idiotic rantings bogging down the ongoing political dialogue.

Go!

Git!

Dig!

Oldefarte| 12.1.12 @ 11:42AM

FO!!!!!

Ralph Novy| 11.28.12 @ 1:36AM

What a bunch of stuff you pulled out of your ass, von Mises, to weakly dispute what Buffett had to say.

I'd criticize Buffett too, here and there, but on none of the fictional bases you've concocted.

Oldefarte| 11.30.12 @ 2:37PM

"here and there"? Typical BS without specifics since he's STUPID!!!!!!

Stan Redmond| 11.27.12 @ 3:25PM

There could be 100% democrats in the house and senate, all 9 justices in the supreme court, and Obama at the healm and they will still complain and whine that somehow somewhere a republican is causing all the problems. Obama could be cooking puppies for lunch and he'd still complain that it's a republicans fault for stealing all the other food.

Occam's Tool| 11.27.12 @ 5:01PM

Hey, if 8 out of 10 Superzips voted for Obama (I DID NOT) tax the crap out of them. They voluntarily requested it. I didn't.

Oldefarte| 12.1.12 @ 11:44AM

Oh they will not be taxed, since they have no income. They want YOURS and MINE. That is their welath redistribution, and the STUPIDS voted for it 11/6/12!!!!!

Bob Grant| 11.27.12 @ 9:26AM

The obama era is the FDR era, part deux. The economic suppression; the inevitable packing of the federal and supreme courts; the fundamental change in the relationship between government and it's citizens; etc.

Compounding THAT problem is the general decline of our culture. It has been so debased that I question if our country could even survive a 30's-era depression. Could a culturally-balkanized, morally corrupt country survive or break apart?

We are living 1936 again, only who here believes people will stand in line orderly and patiently when it comes time to receive whatever ration the government is handing out on a particular day?

What about the wholesale distrust of our institutions that is sweeping the country?...When a president is rewarded another four years in office for running the most dishonest, divisive, negative campaign in history? What effect would THAT have on another severe economic downturn?

TLP| 11.27.12 @ 2:38PM

Are you Stealing my Part Deuxs?

You Bastard.

Bob Grant| 11.27.12 @ 4:52PM

Just don't call me a Deux Bag.

Pecos Pete| 11.27.12 @ 5:55PM

Nice.

KennesawJack| 11.27.12 @ 9:29AM

Von, perhaps the best course of action for Republicans is to simply say that they will agree to whatever tax increases Obamarx wants as soon as they see the rest of his proposal to reform entitlements. In short, as you so correctly point out, we're going over a cliff irrespective of what the Republicans do so why not take away the opportunity to blame them for the impending crash? At the end of the day, there will be no entitlement reform, no spending cuts except defense, and taxes will rise. Let the Dems take responsibility for it and let's see what comes after. Footnote: The ultimate irony will then be the press blaming the Republicans for not standing firm enough on the spending side.

Von Mises Jr| 11.27.12 @ 9:53AM

I am sure that the GOP Senators, Peter King and eggheads like Krystal already figured out they are in a box. They just don't have the guts to admit that their only strategy left is to avoid blame.

The dilemma is the stupid people that watch "The View" and Bill Maher will not be convinced it is not Bushes fault regardless of what the Republicans do. That is what happens when you fail to lead and teach starting in 1988.

Oldefarte| 11.27.12 @ 12:04PM

True, granted, but I think that the typical Republicans [though not saints] are not at fault in this. It's the stupids that voted for this domestic destroyer not once but twice. It's mainly the labor unions [municipal mostly] who knew what Romney represented if elected, and that was a dismantling of their governmental power structure and loss of jobs for its employees [a Baining so to speak]. It was the governmentla employees [every policeman, teacher, fireman, utility worker, bus driver, cafeteria worker etc in every city/town in America] that were good foot-soldiers to their union leaderships and voted en masse for this POTUS' re-election!!!!!!!!!!

TeaPartyNow| 11.27.12 @ 12:32PM

Consider this, you'd be lucky to see one in a hundred media sources throughout Americas' medias that offer private property & liberty based ideas. & most cover the nation with statist indoctrination propaganda. This, the Americans People consider "news".

Also, the schools have nearly wholly abandoned education. & are violent marxist/maoist indoctrination centers by about 80%.

It is the culture. We "conservatives" if indeed there are any, do not oppose marxist culture being imposed on the American People. Feminism, is marxist culturalism. Abortion is marxist culturalism. Gay marriage is marxist culturalism.

Conservatism is so far gone the American People have ZERO RECOURSE FOR TYRANNY OVER US. In our own minds, we reject our own liberty.

Oldefarte| 12.1.12 @ 11:52AM

I have witnessed the voting revolution from the Roosevelt/Kennedy/Johnson, Great Society governmental welfare buildup [now it's call welath redistribution] to the Nixon/Reagan/Bushes semi-conservatism; and then the backsliding to Carter/Clinton/Obama. There may be no revolution possible now after eight years of BHO's destruction and this country probably will die a quick demise next year. The STUPIDS [inmates] have simply taken over the asylum, and beyond a military takeover or impeachment, there is little hope for survival!!!!

Kwan| 11.27.12 @ 9:38AM

Four more years of the Marxist Automaton Obama's leadership should move the country closer to being classified a "failed state". As the economy worsens Obama will promise us that if he can just tax and tax and tax the evil rich and grow the government and welfare state all will be well. Obama's solutions are always leftist guaranteed-to-fail solutions. Those that voted for Obama on November 6th evidently bought into the fallacy that Obama was propagating, that we didn't want to go back to the policies that landed us in this economic mess. They were unable to grasp that the Democrat's "Community Reinvestment Act" is the policy that created all the economic turmoil.

Dr. Waffle| 11.27.12 @ 11:54AM

Please, provide evidence of Obama's "Marxism."

Oldefarte| 11.27.12 @ 12:25PM

Please provide evidence of his not being thus!!!!

Ralph Novy| 11.28.12 @ 1:29AM

Not being thus?

Do you have ANY idea how stupid that is?

"Prove to me you're not a Martian!"

Shee-it.

Oldefarte| 11.30.12 @ 2:34PM

Ya boy is not a martian.....but he is a domestic terrorist!!!!!!!!!

Warrior| 11.27.12 @ 1:43PM

His mentor and possibly his real father was Frank Marshall Davis, literally a card carrying member of the Communist Party.

TLP| 11.27.12 @ 2:40PM

Or, you could just READ HIS BOOKS.

Oldefarte| 12.1.12 @ 11:53AM

"HIS BOOKS"? Bill Ayers' Dreams?????????

Oldefarte| 11.27.12 @ 10:01AM

"brains"? [from the second to last sentence] How can there be "brains" involved in 11/4/08 and 11/6/12? ITS THE STUPIDS, PERIOD! These stupids control this country by their voting power. These stupids lemmingly vote for their laor unions' wishes in order to preserve their governmental [local, state and federal] jobs and outlandish benefits to be paid for by the taxpayers of this nation. These stupids refuse to council and threaten if necessary their employees into voting properly in order to preserve their businesses profitably and to maintain those employees' jobs. Those stupids allow their churches to brainwash them into believing these domestic terrorists' subliminal messaging of the 99% against the 1% in a societal struggle. These stupids allow themselves and their families to be nightly brainwashed by Hollywood's propaganda in their TV programming etc. These stupids go nuts over sporting events and ignore the crumbling world around them. These stupids buy into the ludicrous messaging of these domestic terrorists that additional tax revenue from taxpayers is the one and only solution to budgetary shortfalls, while running to the stores of sellers of garbaged crapola and spending their hard earned money on things witch will satisfy their needs for five whole minutes and thereafter delete their bank accounts into oblivion. The American public is entirely STUPID, and it is now unfortionately too late in the game to do anything to reverse their problem!!!!!

Dr. Waffle| 11.27.12 @ 11:51AM

"The American public is entirely STUPID"

Because nothing says "vote for me" like insulting half the country as lazy, "stupid" parasites.

Oldefarte| 11.27.12 @ 12:08PM

DW: Please consult the words of the old philosopher Forrest Gump who once declared that STUPID IS AS STUPID DOES [and they done does so on 11/4/08 and 11/6/12]. That beez stupid! Insulting? Try THE TRUTH instead. Oh and they [and all of us] will pay dearly for their stupidity but it will then be too late to correct same!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ralph Novy| 11.28.12 @ 1:28AM

You really need to face up to the fact that it's your "conservative"/Republican candidates who are the sleazeball liars.

If you don't, they're going to f*ck you in the ass before you know what's happening, Oldefarte.

Oldefarte| 11.30.12 @ 2:31PM

Look you penus-headed moron, quit being obsessed with "my ass" you homosexual pervert. Go fornicate your donkey in the WH [there are several to choose from, and all are more ugly than a donkey or jackazz]. The only sleazeball liar is the one you just voted for, and he and they will destroy your country next year so ENJOY WHAT YOU WISH FOR SINCE YOU GOT IT!!!!!!! [Where is "Purp" today or are you Sanduskying him as we speak?]

TeaPartyNow| 11.27.12 @ 12:11PM

I really think that America is communist culturally. Our medias keep us dumb, but they also sway us to be pro-nanny state tyranny over us.

We are ignorant of & subservient to tyranny wholly in America, effectively. But we are constantly inundated with morbidly dull minded propaganda. There isn't enough truth in American medias to fill a thimble, I always say.

& given their adherence to the pandering liberal Romney & friends, the right isn't up to offering anything better than the left anymore.

Oh sure, some will step out & oppose Romney now. But they were all (Mark Levin) puckering their butt cheeks over him last month. The right has zero confidence in itself to be a conservative entity. & therefor is part of the problem.

Culturally, we are getting the shaft. We are not inherently ignorant or subservient. But by all discernible measures we might as well be.

Today there is no limit as to how much abuse the American People will take from their governments. That is a dangerous situation indeed.

Oldefarte| 11.27.12 @ 12:23PM

The Romneys and the McCains are not the problem. Sure they are not exactly what some of us wish for in entirety but they are an extreme contrast to what the Democrats offer. McCain served his country bravely in the military and in congress. Romney was successful in private business. Both love this country. The problem is not them but rather the radicals controlling the Democratic Party that are and will drag this country down. Romneys and McCains can always be [if elected] replaced with more and better conservative candidates, but when you hand over the country to the radical Democrats, there is no changing/replacing/tweeking them. Once they gain control, they will ensure permanent domination of their policies!!!!!!!!!

TLP| 11.27.12 @ 2:41PM

Exactly.

CJW| 11.27.12 @ 7:15PM

Well said, OF. I would add the problem includes our weak sisters who stay home or vote third party, let the Dems win, and then whine and complain.

Ralph Novy| 11.28.12 @ 1:26AM

Got news for you, pal: McCain did NOT serve his country "bravely" in the military.

Check out his record. Couple of crashed planes. Plenty of slack cut for him because he was an admiral's son.

Moreover ... check into how me managed to survive -- so well -- the North Vietnamese prison camp he was in. Ask some hard questions about how many broadcasts he made for North Vietnamese radio and what special considerations he got in return.

Yeah ... every once in a while McCain seems to behave decently. But not damned often enough.

CJW| 11.28.12 @ 7:06AM

You are a complete idiot,Ralphie/Purp. Not worth a reply except insults and mocking.

Oldefarte| 11.30.12 @ 2:24PM

He wore the military uniform, and he has served his state and his country as a US senator. Beyond that, he is one of only a few now who are rightlfully questioning these domestic terrorists running this country as to their subversions in Lybia and the ME. He's not a coward like some of your persuasion that have thrown their military medals away or who have acted with corruption and theft and had to resign their congressional office. He is not destroying this country as are the domestic terrorists now in charge. He is not a community organizer who has lived off of the taxpayers his entire lifetime, while associating with other domestic terrorists. He is an American. Oh and he's not a complet idiot and worthless fool, as are you!!!!!!!!!

Dr. Waffle| 11.27.12 @ 12:30PM

I'm seriously at a loss as to what you're talking about. What tyranny?

Butch| 11.27.12 @ 2:36PM

Will death panels do?

TLP| 11.27.12 @ 2:48PM

Forging Documents, to put in place an ILLEGAL Drilling Moratorium.

Running Guns to Mexican Drug Cartels.

An ILLEGAL WAR in Libya.

Making Unconstitutional Reccess Appointments, while the Senate is in Reccess.

Using $900 Billion in Stimulus Money, that was supposed to be EARMARKED for Shovel Ready Infrastructure Jobs, to keep his Public Service Unions on the Job, and making Campaign Contributions.

REFUSING to Enforce the Laws on the Books, like the Immigration Laws.

Do you need more, Dumb@ss?

Oldefarte| 12.1.12 @ 11:59AM

"Running Guns to Mexican Drug Cartels"

EQUALS

"An ILLEGAL WAR in Libya"

IMHO, they are both one in the same, and F&F armaments went THROUGH Mexico on their way to the Middle East [and that is possibly the story of Benghazi]!!!!!!!!

loulou| 11.27.12 @ 11:17AM

You can thank Karl Rove and the GOP elites for our current loss.

Oldefarte| 11.27.12 @ 12:13PM

Rove and the GOP elites did not go to the polls on 11/4/08 and 11/6/12 and vote for BHO. But who did so? Try the 2 million more stupids that voted for the Democrat instead of the Republican. Try maybe 2 additional millions that also did same. You then have 4 million approximately stupids in this country. What does that say about this USA? Simple that it is filled to capacity with stupids [and all of the Roves and GOP elites can't put that HUMPTY DUMPTY back together ever again]!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

TeaPartyNow| 11.27.12 @ 12:01PM

It is too bad that the American People are wholly ignorant of & subservient to tyranny in America. There is a real need for opposition, or what I would call liberty. I just don't see it though.

I think that any & all Americans would rather die outright, than opposed their despotic state.

We the People don't really exist anymore in America. Hence Obama.

Oldefarte| 11.27.12 @ 12:16PM

You're entirely correct, but we only have ourselves to blame for letting it change under our noses. It was changed by the subversives within the public school system, by the Hollywood liberal elites, by the MSM, by the college/university egghead teachers/professors, etc; and all of them controlled and manipulated by the Democratic Party!!!!!!!!!

Ralph Novy| 11.28.12 @ 1:21AM

Will you please give it up and shoot yourself in the face with an olde gun, oldefarte?

Your nasty rantings reek of old-man piss and denture cleansor.

One can also turn attention to the Light, Itself, like a lamp in a room shining away: in the Light AS.

Finally, one can explode ALL separation by Being the Light, Itself: being in the Light, or Realizing It All is just Light, Being Itself.

You silly fools, you!

Hiding behind your assumption of self as an ego, “you” are always and already Light Beings!

NOW---make LIGHT of all I’ve here written.

The Lightness of Being is Consciousness, and Bliss.

Sat Chit Ananda.

What a dark Light Obama seems to be, though. Anyway, and any Way and All Ways, don’t Really be fooled by his desperate dance.

He is simply the current expression, in human form, of the Destroyer, known as Shiva in India, and the Devil in the West.

You CAN still breathe, can’t you? Yes, the continuous action connecting “your” body with the atmosphere, via lungs and heart, principally, is itself simply the exchange of Light, the Eternal flow of It, since all solids, liquids, gases, and even and especially feelings and thoughts, THEMSELVES, are just miraculous-seeming forms of Light.

Enjoy It.

MRD| 11.27.12 @ 1:34PM

Dr. Waffle: Here is the tyranny, I am a Catholic, to compel me to pay for my employees contraceptives or close a business is tyranny. My employees would be free or not free to work for me understanding what I am willing to pay for their work including what insurance I am willing to purchase ( if any) for them. That Obama would force those like to to close or sin is tyranny. It is a government using police power to dictatorially do as it pleases. In fact all of Obama care is tyranny since much of it is not spelled out in the legislation but involves government by the decree of the executive branch. That is ( regardless of any merits its backers claim) much of it creates unelected boards to make decisions, or delegates these decisions to the whims of the HHS secretary. The contraceptive mandate is a whim of the HHS secretary and is no spelled out in the legislation for example.

MRD| 11.27.12 @ 2:01PM

The problem for conservatives is many are too focused on the economy and jobs, jobs, jobs. It is impossible for conservative economic ideas to win when the culture is changing in ways that make a majority of people dependent on the state. In a society in which 53% of children born to woman under 30 are in single parent homes the odds that the child & mother will be dependent on government is high. Which argument do you think will win in such a society? A conservative call for policies designed to maximize economic growth, & opportunity, rewarding virtues like self reliance, hard work and thrift, or a liberal argument with reassuring talk about safety nets, protection from the hostile corporations, and help with many of life's needs, ( the cost of this government largess being real but relatively opaque). The last election answered that question. Many in the Republican party, including the libertarian Ron Paul wing, do not see this. Some do, there have been commentators who have touched on this recently , like Mark Steyn, and at times Mr Hillyer himself. Our folly is that the fundamental change Obama is seeking and is achieving is about more than "jobs, jobs" jobs". It is because so many fail to see this that America is becoming unrecognizable. Sure the economy is getting wrecked in the process, but Obama's ability to trash the economy is because of the underlying cultural shifts that are being allowed to occur.

Hardcard| 11.27.12 @ 2:07PM

We're under their thumb. It don't think it will change until lots of people are starving in the streets. The clowns in the GOP are like teats on a bull, but at least bulls gave balls.

PolishKnight| 11.27.12 @ 3:58PM

It's kind of funny that I really don't care about the rhetoric. I think Obama has someone else write it for him and his political philosophy can be summed up neatly as cronyism, race entitlements, and printing up money.

Not terribly complicated folks.

He's not a real "marxist". I don't think he's stupid (I think he got a degree and it took effort to do that). He simply took advantage of the crony system and played the game. He doesn't think that hugging trees will magically produce electric cars that wipe our butt while we drive. He knows that's all pixie dust. He simply wins elections by his bureaucrats handing out welfare and obamaphones and union no-show jobs, race entitlements (see above), and getting crony jobs for his wife and kids. That's all that matters to him. Sadly, it's not that different from the Bushes except for the race part and not taking care of his electorate.

We now see that race trumps all and the Republican party has to learn from that. Or die.

Occam's Tool| 11.27.12 @ 5:05PM

By the way, Buffett needs a WEALTH tax, not an income tax. Let it start at one percent on a Billion dollars, and go up by 1% for each billion and if someone gives up American citizenship to avoid it, let them not be able to do business in the USA. This would have Buffett paying a 47% rate on his WEALTH, or about $20 billion the first year.

That's the ticket on that Libtard bastard. The power to tax is the power to destroy.

itsy_bitsy| 11.27.12 @ 8:47PM

Obama is a pretender! He is crass, and in many areas, uneducated. Those that surround him try to cover his many slips and errors, but they show through. He is a Marxist, but does not admit to it, although he has in the past! His primary concern is reparations and removing money from the educated working whites and in turn showering it upon the black uneducated class. He has shown no desire to truly educate these people, in fact his powerful union connections do just the opposite. We can expect further "dumbing down of our nation as long as he has power!

Ralph Novy| 11.28.12 @ 1:17AM

"itsy_bitsy" is all so apt.

Your mind. Your character. Your impact.

Itsy-bitsy.

How prescient you were, eh?

And we've thought back , too--- replayed the reel in our heads--- our echoed concerns, during Obama's campaign in '07. Much exchanged on threads such as the American Spectator's. Darn it all, just not fun doings, for any of us.

"Intelligent people across the country are asking out loud whether another presidential term for Barack Obama actually will be as bad as we expect it to be."

No.

No intelligent person is asking that -- out loud or otherwise.

Only such small people as yourself, Hillyer, are asking such questions.

For crying out loud, find a friend who will tell you the truth about yourself.

well, if the past 4 years are any indication, then i agree-no, it won't

it will likely be far, far worse

Oldefarte| 12.1.12 @ 12:04PM

"No intelligent person is asking that -- out loud or otherwise" For once, Purp, I agree with your/this statement, since all intelligent persons KNOW THAT HIS SECOND TERM WILL BE FAR FAR WORSE, and that he will finish the job of complete destruction of this country that he began four years ago!!!!!!!
