Obama’s Coercive Secular State
“It’s a scary time to be a Christian,” to paraphrase his ads.
The absence of free contraceptives, abortifacients, STD testing, and sterilizations, among other Sebelius-decreed “essential” services, constitutes a “war on women,” says President Obama. “It’s a scary time to be a woman,” warbles a stooge in one of his campaign ads.
Obama’s arrogance is bottomless. Even as he violates the freedom of the religious — reducing them to the status of serfs in his planned secularist and socialist state — he has the gall to cast them as the victimizers.
Under this coercive secular state, Christian values are no longer American values. Obama’s former chief of staff, Rahm Emanuel, has made this view official by threatening to ban Christian businesses like Chick-fil-A that appear out of step with “Chicago values.”
If Obama wins a second term, Americans will be expected to conform not only to Chicago-style politics but also to “Chicago values.” Opponents of gay marriage will be treated as enemies of the state. Obama’s military already tells chaplains and privates who dissent from Obama’s agenda to “get out.”
As reported by the Washington Times in 2010, Lieutenant General Thomas P. Bostick, the Army’s deputy chief of staff in charge of personnel, showered withering contempt on traditionally Christian members of the military: “Unfortunately, we have a minority of service members who are still racists and bigoted and you will never be able to get rid of all of them.… But these people opposing this new policy [in favor of abolishing Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell] will need to get with the program, and if they can’t, they need to get out.”
Admiral Michael Mullen, the former chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, echoed this line, telling a military chaplain who opposed the abolition of the Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell policy in 2010, “If you cannot get in line, resign your commission.”
Get out of the military, get out of major cities — this is the voice of Obama’s commissars from San Francisco to Boston in his war on the religious. He is building a secularist and socialist animal farm in which no higher power exists than the will of the new Napoleons.
Socialism and secularism overlap in Obama’s political philosophy. He can see that religion is the natural rival of the state, an obstacle that must be destroyed or coopted if he is to succeed in his central planning. For the key to central planning is coerced universal participation. No one can be allowed to leave the animal farm. This is why, even though it makes little political sense, he will not expand the religious exemption beyond purely sectarian organizations. If he were to concede that the right to religious freedom trumps his invented right to “reproductive services,” his animal farm would stall and collapse.
Even Americans who don’t support organized religion should see that it serves as an important buffer to the overweening state, and that the extinction of freedom for those groups will one day imperil their own. When government replaces God, its pitilessness affects everyone.
On August 1, all employers, whether they realize it or not, became cogs in Obama’s socialist and secularist machine. If they refuse to subsidize the sex lives of their employees, Obama can now bankrupt them through punitive fines. The fine is up to $100 per employee, per day, according to an estimate by the Congressional Research Service. The official position of Obama’s Justice Department in defense of this fiat is that businessmen lose their religious liberty the moment they decide to open their doors to the public. Their money and their consciences belong to the government.
The sheer idiocy of the HHS mandate was illustrated recently by Senator Tom Harkin, who, in a comically desperate attempt to cast the absence of free contraceptives and abortifacients as a form of corporate oppression, said, “There are many women who take birth control pills, for example, because they have terrible menstrual cramps once a month, some of them almost incapacitated, can’t work. I know of young women myself who, because of this, aren’t able to work and be productive, and it’s prescribed by their doctor.” Harkin, apparently, can’t rest until these women are back working on Obama’s animal farm, having received, under the gaze of government, all the suitable injections to guarantee their productivity for years to come. Harkin’s paternalism is so touching: What would women do without his monitoring of their ailments?
It is high time Mitt Romney hit back hard against this nonsense. Americans are losing real rights to Obama’s preposterously phony new ones. The mendacity of the alleged “war on women” cannot be overstated. If Romney continues to run a narrow race focused on economic competency, he will lose. Man does not live on bread alone. Romney needs to make the race a referendum on something larger and more potent — the loss of God-given freedoms and Obama’s sinister construction of the coercive socialist-secular state.

The Christian faith is based on "Grace." This Grace is bestowed upon us by G-d. Totalitarians cannot have Christians enjoying this relationship with the Creator. It undermines the totalitarian state.
The Jewish faith is similar and also based on the Commandments, morals and traditions. It also relies on a relationship with G-d.
But "Progressive" (read regressive) totalitarians such as the leadership in the Democrat Party believe in enlightened "Supermen." They believed that they are gods. It is a convention quite often used in Jewish writtings where the use of the divine name is considered questionable. In scripture where the tetragrammaton appears the common translation is to use the capitalized LORD instead. It is done to show respe3ct and avoid vain usage of the name. There seems to be an almost worldwide "grabbiness" going on, in which people want to get their hands on whatever they can get their government to give them. In this country, that is accompanied by an urge to sue one's neighbor for any real or imagined injury, in order to grab whatever a jury may award.
I dunno...it seems to me that selfishness and greediness make the world go 'round these days, and I mean on the level of individuals. Sure, companies can be greedy, but aren't we seeing more of that just in people? Very scary.

Think about all of The Coal States. The Commercial Fishermen. The Farmers, who can't get water. The Farmers who have had their LIVESTOCK SLAUGHTERED, by Agents from Herr Obama's Ag Dept.
The XL Pipeline. The Thousands Laid Off by THE ONE, shutting down Thousands of Car Dealerships, across this Country.
Everybody that has Lost Their Jobs because NASA no longer sends Astronauts in to Space, and the Cancellation of the New Constellation Rocket, and now has been Transformed into a Muslim Outreach/Group Hug Operation.
Think of the people who work for Companies that Build Weapons for the Military, that he is in the Process of DECIMATING.

America is famously contrasted with Europe as having a majority of churchgoers, while the latter is filled with mostly empty churches. So, the majority is SCARED?
What is THE greatest and most basic truth that humans have repressed, almost completely?
As the Upanishads say, wherever there is self-other, there is fear. Now, it’s “normal” to have a “healthy” ego.
Therefore, “I” exist as separate from not-“I”, or others and otherness. Which means that I can be snuffed out, at ANY time—so, fear is the real “normal” state.
Take a baseball, remove it’s cover, and then unwind the string on the inside, until you reach the pointless core---that’s YOU. All the string and covering is the created ego, socially useful as it hides the essential fear the initial separation seems to create.
Return to what you were before your mother and father were born.
Be ALL that you can be!
Emptiness is form. Form is emptiness.
Take the second---the apparently solid world we inhabit seems to have certain forms, for a while. This total “form” is truly as empty as the core of a baseball. Even now.

Too much “air”, and you’ll bounce out of control when hitting the floor---other people---and too little air, and you’ll be too flabby and soft, so when dribbled against other people, you’ll be too weak to “rebound”.
Too full, extremis, and you could even pop out of existence---boom! Of course, you do, anyway, sooner or later, just as you popped into existence.
Over time, with much bouncing from dribbling, the cover wears down, and gets slicker and slicker, but, ah—the inside, aside from regular pumping up, contains the same air. Keep the hot air INSIDE, ego!

Subsidy- "A direct pecuniary aid furnished by a government to a private industrial undertaking, a charity organization, or the like."
Pecuniary- "Of or pertaining to money." (Just so you didn't have to look it up, like I did.)
Churches and religious organizations are no different than any liberal not-for-profit org., like Greenpeace, WWF, NAACP, Rainbow PUSH, ACORN, NOW, NARAL, ACLU, etc.

If you were referring to grant money that religious charities receive for helping the poor, again, should liberal org.'s also be denied these monies? Is Planned Parenthood also a leech which should return the half a billion dollars they suck out of the American taxpayers every year?

The problem with Mr. Neumayr's observations on the military's enforcement of the change from DADT to its present stance is that Barack Obama's sinister influence is not the sufficient and necessary cause of how this change is being enforced.
Unity of command is a necessary principle in military organizations. Good order and discipline can only be maintained when ONE concept of how to treat troops is observed. Debate on how to treat troops can and often does lead to plurality of command, confusion, and in severe cases insubordination.
So when the Chairman of the Joint Chief of Staff or a local unit chaplain tell the troops that there is one way in which the issue of gays in the military will be handled, it's reaching to blame this on President Obama. Occam's Razor compels us to accept the explanation which requires fewer facts not in evidence, and that explanation is that the Chairman and the chaplain are both explaining to the troops how Unity of Command works.
Conversations like this doubtless were held when Truman integrated the United States military, ending the era of racially-segregated military units, racially-segregated rec halls, racially-segregated warships and racially-segregated barracks. It wasn't a simple or an easy process, but it was a directive from the Commander-in-Chief, and it was obeyed.
