Soros Election-Rigging Project Dies?
The mysterious disappearance of the Secretary of State Project.
Whatever happened to the left-wing Secretary of State Project liberals promised would save our elections from the dirty tricks of those dang lowdown, yellow-bellied, lily-livered Republicans?
The evidence now suggests that the election-stealing, George Soros-funded so-called “527” political committee is dead, or perhaps just deeply sedated. This group that section 527 of the U.S. Internal Revenue Code allows to accept unlimited financial contributions was created solely to rig elections for Democrats.
It accomplishes this by electing permissive liberal Democrats as secretaries of state. In most states the secretary of state is the chief elections officer, so putting left-wingers in the often-overlooked but critically important office allows these political radicals to manipulate the electoral process. This is what liberals call “election protection.”
Billionaire donor Soros, whom Saturday Night Live has mocked as the “owner” of the Democratic Party, underwrote the Secretary of State Project in order to help Democrats gain an unfair advantage on Election Day. Soros and progressives all across the fruited plain believe with a religious fervor that right-leaning secretaries of state helped the GOP steal the presidential elections in Florida in 2000 (Katherine Harris) and in Ohio in 2004 (Ken Blackwell).
For years Soros’s ultra-wealthy colleagues in the Democracy Alliance, a billionaires’ club that funds left-wing political infrastructure, opened their wallets to help secretary of state candidates endorsed by the SoS Project. They helped to elect Saul Alinsky-inspired community organizer Mark Ritchie, the ACORN-loving Minnesota secretary of state who presided over Al Franken’s theft of incumbent Republican Norm Coleman’s U.S. Senate seat in the 2008 election cycle.
Until a year and a half ago the Secretary of State Project was doing well. Before the 2010 cycle it took credit for electing 11 of the 18 left-wingers it endorsed since it began funding candidates in 2006.
Then in 2010 disaster struck for Democrats at both the national and state levels. Five out of the SoS Project’s seven official candidates went down to defeat. Only Ritchie and another progressive incumbent, California’s Debra Bowen, stayed afloat in the Republican electoral tsunami. As the Secretary of State Project lost its luster and its funding dried up, the writing was on the wall.
Despite the SoS Project’s ultimately limited shelf life, the idea behind the group was clever in a Robert Mugabe kind of way. A relative pittance can help swing these little-watched state contests, allowing even small donors to play a big role in making all of America Vermont.
Once a secretary of state who doesn’t give a farthing’s cuss about electoral integrity is in power, the undemocratic installation of Democrats in public office may follow. (See Franken, Al.)
The secretary of state candidates the SoS Project endorses sing the same familiar song about election-related issues that we now hear from Eric Holder’s lawless Justice Department.
The left-of-center candidates bearing the Secretary of State Project’s seal of approval typically say that: a) voter fraud is as real as the Loch Ness monster; b) Republicans routinely practice vote suppression; c) voter rolls should never be cleansed of the dead and fictional characters; and d) anyone who demands that a voter produce photo identification before pulling the lever is a racist.
With that said, how do we actually know that the fetid Secretary of State Project is likely a-mouldering in the ground?
Rumors of the organization’s death have been circulating for months.
The Secretary of State Project’s website, secstateproject.org, is currently offline after vanishing from the Internet in July of last year. At press time its Facebook page, YouTube channel, and Twitter account hadn’t been updated since 2010. The group hasn’t endorsed any candidates for the 2012 election cycle and its most recent IRS filings show almost no financial activity since the 2010 election cycle.
Progressive activists involved with the group refused to comment. Contacted by telephone, co-founder Rebecca Bond, who goes by “Becky,” politely refused to comment for this would-be obituary after this writer pointed out that the political committee’s once-impressive website had gone dark.

Soros money is in too many organizations to track. My hunch is he has some investment in Americans Elect. I could be wrong but they won't disclose donors...I haven't seen any recent articles on how many states they are on the ballot.

What amazes me is that folks like conservative investigative journalist (are there any, I sure don't know any) Matthew Vadum have not jumped on a plane to Phoenix, AZ to spend a day with Sheriff Joe Arpaio and his lead investigator Mike Zullo. These career law enforcement officers with a combined hundreds of years of experience have come off a 6 month investigation that produced "probable cause" that the April 27th, 2011 computer generated birth certificate is a FORGERY. They also discovered that the Commander in Chief fraudulently registered with the Selective Service resulting in another FORGERY, the Selective Service Card. Two crimes and more on the way. Who the hell wouldn't want to investigate the scandal of the century for crying out loud. Does anyone believe that these men who spent their entire lives collecting and evaluating evidence are lying or got it wrong. So when is Matthew Vadum going to report back to all of us about the crimes Obama has committed?

The SOS project is probably just dormant due the losses suffered in the 2010 elections. But, make no mistake, if they thought it valuable, it would become active again.
Probably election fraud though ACORN is a better bet. Why not put Elmer Fudd, Betty Boop, and Mickey Mouse on the voter rolls instead, along with the dead, the illegal aliens, and convicted felons. Then fight voter ID laws tooth and nail.
That way they can steal any close elections.

I agree with Rush that this could be a landslide victory against Obama. I cite as anecdotal evidence the same crushing defeat of 2010. The establishment was able to save Harry Dweeb by busing in SEIU to steal Nevada and Batty Murray in liberal Washington State. The GOP saved Murkowski from Joe Miller. It took a massive effort just to save a few tokens of liberal power while most went down in flames.
This year they will need to defend Robber Menendez and Diane Frankenstien. That may exhaust ACORN and SEIU alone.

Listen, if Barack Hussein Obama loses this election, we lose also. The man loses the election and gets away with the biggest scandal ever to happen in this country. He was never qualified to be President, never vetted as John McCain was vetted as to meeting the requirement to be a "natural born Citizen." Obama would have never survived the very same vetting. The Republicans allowed the original Democrat birthers to vet McCain and never insisted on Obama being vetted. McCain should have insisted upon the same vetting for Obama. McCain was a push over and I fear Mitt Romney is his clone!

Vadum gets the Benson/Michigan story completely wrong. SOS definitely had a positive effect. Benson lost by just 5 points in an election where the GOP basically swept the board in an historic blowout. Snyder clobbered Bernero at the top of the ticket. Benson ran far in front of Bernero.
The GOP should have locked SOS down easily. Since taking over SOS from Grandpa Dick Austin years ago the GOP has done a great job with the office: a trimmed payroll, better service and a very respectable effort at moving as much as possible online.
Benson did have a couple of other things in her corner. Her home county - Oakland - is vote rich and is trending Dem. Benson is also quite attractive. But the SOS money did help.
This is slipshod work from Vadum. If you need the help Matt I could be your Metro Detroit stringer.

Believe me, leftists never quit. As some have suggested, if it appears SoS is done, look for it to emerge as another entity.
Leftists do not quit or give in - only conservatives do that.
As I have said here over and over, libs go for the whole ball of wax virtually every issue, and then when we hold them to 10 or 20% of what they wanted, we claim victory for stopping their 80%, then we sit and relax while the leftists reload for the next round.
We are so flippin' stupid for claiming victory. We LOST - we LOST 20% on whatever issue this time - 5 or 10% the next time - and on and on it goes - a steady march to the left.
We need staunch conservatives to move the ball right - we need folks who will NOT relax - ever - because the leftists never do.
Of the repub candidates we had this time, only Santorum and Bachman impressed me as leaders who will never give up the fight - who will never want to give an inch because they know what the results of giving an inch have produced.
To wit: the homosexual movement. Look how far it has come since just before Clinton took office about 20 years ago. Almost no one under 30 has a negative thing to say about homosexuals or their movement.

The SOS Project most likely has not gone dormant or extinct, it has merely gone DARK.
Few people realize how astoundingly cheap it was for Soros to buy the SOS positions in a number of battleground states. For a mere two or three million total, he was able to install leftist SOS's in half a dozen key states. Never could understand why the GOP was not willing to fund a counter SOS project. It would have been money extremely well spent.
In any case, the new electronic voting machines are the wave of the future in terms of election stealing. These machines can and will be hacked and or programmed with fradulent instructions in order to steal close elections for the Communists. The GOP, the Tea Party, and all conservatives need to unite at all levels to outlaw the new machines and return to nothing but paper ballots, and no absentee ballots for anyone except those who can show a genuine and legitimate need for one.

Why hasn't someone in our government done something to stop the damaging control this man has over our economy and our government and our way of life? He is one of the most dangerous men on the Earth who funds all kinds of things through our government, and there are so many people who are on his payroll who are duely elected representatives who are in violation of their oath of office and in violation of our Constitution. And the man's name who is Soros's buddy, who does big money deals with him from time to time, who is the man who is behind all the oppressive environmental laws our country is under that seem to come from the U.N. but are from him, is, Maurice Strong. He has been a radical environmentalist since the 70's when he figured out he could become super rich and very powerful by taking over environmentalism in the world.
Being a banker and financier by trade, he is already a billionaire like Soros. Where does he live? Where can we find him? Well, it's said he is actually from Switzerland and is supposed to have a residence there, but he is constantly on the go running around the world controling all his NGO's and enviro-organizations world wide, connected to the U.N. and it's money he operates under.
Look him and Soros and Obama up together and separately and you will be shocked as to what this man has done to this country and the world. He's the one who told the countries representatives who showed up at the Rio Conference that Americans don't need air conditioning in their homes and places of work. More recently he announced to the U.N. climate control council that America is the worlds largest polluter and we are the ones who need to have our energy usage brought to a halt!!
