Consider what Barack Obama said after he was sworn in as the
44th President of the United States on January 20, 2009. The newly
inaugurated President stated:
What is required of us now is a new era of responsibility — a
recognition on the part of every American that we have duties to
ourselves, our nation and the world; duties that we do not
grudgingly accept, but rather seize gladly, firm in the knowledge
that there is nothing so satisfying to the spirit, so defining of
our character than giving our all to a difficult task.
Well, as it turns out, President Obama’s definition of
responsibility is quite different from that of most Americans.
Because the only duty he has seized gladly over the past three and
a quarter years is holding everyone other than himself responsible
for the shortcomings of his policies. President Obama has blamed
everyone from former President George W. Bush and House Republicans
to the Arab Spring and the Japanese earthquake and tsunami for
things not going exactly as planned. At this point, I am surprised
he hasn’t got around to blaming his dog Bo, but his turn may soon
come. The Obama 2012 campaign is underway and it’s a dog eat dog
world out there. Or should I say a man eat dog world? Either way,
Obama always seems to have a bone to pick with someone.
However, with the emergence of the GSA and Secret Service
scandals not to mention the Fast & Furious scandal at the
Department of Justice and the Solyndra boondoggle, President
Obama’s time in office can be characterized as an era of
irresponsibility.
Enter Mitt Romney. Say what you will about the former
Massachusetts Governor. Sure he’s flip-flopped more than John
Kerry, might not care much for the poor, and likes firing people as
much as he likes mandates. But at least Mitt would mind the store.
This is a man who dots his i’s, crosses his t’s
and curves his u’s as meticulously as he combs his hair.
Whatever his shortcomings, Romney comes across as a man who knows
not only what he is doing but also what he needs to do. The same
cannot be said for Obama. When we take the time to stack the
résumés of Obama and Romney side-by-side we might very well come to
the conclusion that Obama would be lucky to qualify for an entry
level position in one of Romney’s companies.
If America should choose to put its faith in Mitt this November
then over the next four years we will told about how things are
being cleaned up and turned around instead of being subjected to
four more years of speeches from Obama telling us about the mess
that was inherited from the previous administration and how
frustrated he is that he doesn’t have the power to wipe it out with
the single stroke of a pen. We will have gone from Obama the Orator
to Romney the Responsible.
To borrow a phrase from DNC Chairwoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz,
Romney is literally and figuratively a picture of sobriety. There
is some
question as to whether the strongest thing Romney drinks is
Diet Coke or chocolate milk. I know Bill Maher kind of beat me to
this, but I have a slightly different take from that of the
“comedian” who donated $1 million
to an Obama Super PAC.
So let’s cue the flamenco guitar and images of a younger Romney
in the French Alps with PowerPoint in tow.
He can balance the federal budget on the tips of his
fingers.
He can alphabetize his tax deductions blindfolded.
He has won gold medals for Olympic events that do not yet
exist.
Hairstylists go to him for grooming advice.
He can tell you that 2 + 2 = 4.
He is the most boring man in the
world.
To which Romney, seated at an overcrowded table with his wife
Ann, his five sons, their spouses and sixteen grandchildren, would
reply, “I don’t always drink chocolate milk, but when I do I prefer
Over the
Moon. Stay thirsty my friends.”
Mitt Romney might very well be the least hip presidential
candidate since Nixon set
foot on a beach. As such he would be well advised to refrain
from asking “Who let
the dogs out?” ever again (unless, of course, said dogs found
themselves on the menu of the next White House State Dinner). Mitt
should also probably resist the temptation to tell people that he
listens to Jay-Z on his iPod (assuming he even has an iPod.)
While Romney might not be able to carry a tune, let
us remember that we’re voting for the next American President, not
the next American Idol. So while Obama
sings “Let’s Stay Together” with the Reverend Al Green, Romney
is actually figuring a way to bring the nation together. Not very
exciting perhaps. But 3 ¼ years of Obama plus the trillions added
to our debt is more than enough drama for a lifetime. At least four
years of boredom is exactly what this country needs.
Tom| 4.24.12 @ 7:19AM
So now the best reason to vote for Mitt Romney is that he drinks chocolate milk!!!!!
Vern Crisler| 4.24.12 @ 11:22AM
Yeah, this is what Republicans and sunshine conservatives have to end up doing to sell their moderate Republican candidate. It gets harder from here.
rcb| 4.24.12 @ 11:35AM
Yeah, it will be a lot easier selling him then a guy who has been in office three years and half the people that voted for him are finally realizing what he really is. Sounds like you are still clueless.
JmsA| 4.24.12 @ 12:01PM
Hey Crisler, I would suggest you get yourself a comfy chair so you can watch the One's second inauguration, but I want the One out, no matter what. Where are all of the best and bravest conservatives you're always harping about? Home, away from the fray, that's where. At least Romney is doing what none of them is doing. I would love to see your head explode when he picks Rubio.
TrueBlue | 4.24.12 @ 1:00PM
Home, or working, because they aren't millionaires (not begrudging him his money, he earned it). That or arguing with the Senate over passing a bleeding budget instead of having to worry about having something they did in high school dug up by the papparazi media, or having their family attacked just for being born.
JmsA| 4.24.12 @ 9:19PM
Oh yeah? When is that budget gonna pass in the Senate? Not this year, and not as long as Harry Reid remains in charge. So your argument is flawed. You said they were all working. That's all fine and well; I also work as do millions of other Americans. Just so you know, 9 of those heroic senate republicans just voted with the democrats to defeat Postal reform. Most republicans, with the exception of a few real conservatives, are playing paddy cake with the democrats and protecting their sinecure, nothing else.
Romney is not my first choice. Frankly, not a one of those to have some far come forth, is or was, but any of them would have made a better choice than what we have now. If Romney is the nominee, I will support him and vote for him. I want Obama out. He will not only be a disaster for America, but the World as a whole. Retain the House, take over the Senate, and change the respective leadership. Then, maybe, we can have real hope and change. I can tell many here have not seen what I've seen: Insidious and destructive socialism, which is what Obama and the dems are all about. Anything else?
Tom| 4.24.12 @ 5:08PM
The single biggest Marco Rubio could ever make for his political career would be to accept being Romney's VP.

Never mind the "mittbots" stuff. We need a president that will actually treat the office as job to be worked at. It is after all the equivalent of the CEO of the nation. Obama NEVER WORKS. He campaigns, he plays, he goofs off, he takes responsibility for nothing and does nothing. No company would ever keep an employee like that employed. He does know how to hand out spoils like his Chicago mentors taught him and looting the treasury is second nature. Romney is a man who has actually worked for a living- just what we need.
Cuffs| 4.25.12 @ 9:22AM
And something the ladies should notice--
Romney is a very sexy man--handsome as hell,
strong, and loves his wife. You can't get any better

extol these points. Romney sure as hell looks better than that undernourished con man we
have in the White House now.

No, the "best reason" to vote for Romney is because he is not a communist like Barack Obama. He does not want to destroy capitalism like Obama does. Point being, four more years of Obama, and no more America as we have known it. Also, Obama in the next four years will surely have the opportunity to appoint more marxists to the Supreme Court. Mitt Romney will not do that. So you vote for Romney for those reasons. In addition, you make very dadgummed sure that we keep the House and gain the Senate. THAT is hugely important as well. There is no longer anything to discuss. It is Romney or Obama. Saying you just won't vote is a vote for Obama. Face reality and take a hard look at where we really are right now.

Because Obama outspent him 2-1 in advertising (which doesn't count about $1B in free advertising from the MSM). It also doesn't reflect that roughly 1/3 of the Democratic campaign contributions were illegal due to online credit card fraud (such as Mickey Mouse donating a total of $23,000) and illegal foreign contributions (such official O-Tee shirts sold to Palestinians).

Hey Catholic Man, what say you about this PCism:
'......Newsmax Faculty Calls for ‘Hitler’ Bishop to Resign Tuesday, April 24, 2012 02:46 PM
By: Martin Gould The Roman Catholic bishop who likened President Brack Obama to Hitler and Stalin is facing calls to resign from the board of fellows at Notre Dame University. And Bishop Daniel Jenky’s Peoria diocese should also be investigated by the IRS, one group says, suggesting that his statement could have violated tax exempt rules on political speech.Jenky sparked a firestorm on April 14 when he said in a homily, “Hitler and Stalin, at their better moments, would just barely tolerate some churches remaining open, but would not tolerate any competition with the state in education, social services, and health care. In clear violation of our First Amendment rights, Barack Obama — with his radical, pro-abortion, and extreme secularist agenda — now seems intent on following a similar path.” A total of 95 members of faculty at Notre Dame have added their names to a letter sent Sunday to the university’s president the Rev. John Jenkins and chairman of the trustees Richard Notebaert demanding action.“We accept that Jenky’s comments are protected by the First Amendment, but we find it profoundly offensive that a member of our beloved University’s highest authority, the Board of Fellows, should compare the president’s actions with those whose genocidal policies murdered tens of millions of people, including the specific targeting of Catholics, Jews, and other minorities for their faith,” the letter stated.
They asked Jenkins and Notebaert to issue a statement distancing the university from Jenky’s comments, adding, “Further, we feel that it would be in the best interest of Notre Dame if Jenky resigned from the University’s Board of Fellows if he is unwilling to renounce loudly and publicly this destructive analogy.”
Jenky was educated at Notre Dame and was rector of the university’s Dillon Hall and director of campus ministry before being appointed Bishop of Peoria in 2002.The Diocese of Peoria said Jenky was “surprised” at the move, saying the faculty members “must have not actually heard or read what was said and only what people have misquoted.”
Meanwhile Americans United for Separation of Church and State filed a complaint with the IRS, insisting Jenky’s sermon was political. "No rational person could believe the bishop was doing anything but saying vote against Obama," said executive director Barry Lynn.........'

I want Romney to be President and a Republican House and Senate for one reason- the Press will start doing its job again. The Media is supposed to be our watchdog, checking on government corruption and incompetence. However, for the past 4 years we've been treated to the moral equivalent of the North Korean News Agency www.kcna.co.jp/index-e.htm, with its glorious wheat harvests and boy-meets-tractor stories.
With Mitt and a GOP congress, the news media will once again be the savage watchdogs our Founding Fathers envisioned.

WHAT??? You're joking, right??
Let's assume Romney wins, and the GOP controls both houses of Congress.
On the day of Romney's inauguration, the lead story in the Washington Post will be about all the homeless people in DC (who just magically appeared on November 7th, 2012), and how shameful it is that they're being "hidden" to cleanse the inauguration for rich, white Americans.
The lead story in the New York Times will be:
"Economy in shambles: WHY hasn't Romney fixed it?"
Good Morning America will start the day with an expose about Mormonism, and link Mormons to right-wing, fundamentalist, anti-government militia groups (all 2 of them...)
MSNBC anchor Al Sharpton will talk about how it's racist that Obama was defeated, and demand a recount, as well as a boycott of all white businesses.
Keith Olbermann will be an a-hole.
Christiane Amanpour will dedicate an hour to describe how Romney has "lost Afghanistan and Iraq"...
And this is only inauguration day!
As the great Rush Limbaugh says:
"Stop waiting for the media to do their jobs...it's NOT going to happen."

I didn't see Clint or any other Paulbots out and no signs. We have a heated Senate contest, two RINOs (Democrats who registered Republican last year) against the Conservative Republican Sam Rohrer. State Committee GOP endorsed one of the RINOs Steve Welch who was an Obama supporter in '08. CLint will vote for Rube Paul today and I already voted for Rick Santorum. Clint has said nothing about the Senate race to unload Bob Casey (the gossamer man) who Clint helped elect in '06 (Clint did not vote for Santorum as he hates Rick).

Obama, the bitter clinger. Clinging like a religious zealot, to outdated theories and a belief system invented by a miserable envious misanthrope whose politics was an attempt at personal therapy and emotional release. Imagine if this louche, lazy, solipsistic panty waisted fop of a cold deadly narrow minded bigot never had the chance to partake of the magnificence of America and his nut job momma dropped off his sorry arse in Kenya and left him to fend for himself amongst the purveyors of high culture in that outpost of first world loveliness. Just think how different his life would have been. The next time he opens his moronic stupid yap to deride and mock would it be too much to hope that someone, somewhere would point out to him that instead of being the president of what was ONCE the most powerful country in the world, three years ago, he would be squatting in a shack in Kenya somewhere swatting flies, malnourished, possibly fighting malaria, or depending upon US aid to add a couple of years to his sorry life by handing out the medication he needs to take care of his HIV infection. Or maybe getting hacked to death by some other tribesman while he was herding his cattle and goats to a more hospitable area not stricken with drought and disease. That's if he had the means to procure them. He is so in love with the third world and yet he lives in America like a deity and has yet to thank whatever serious of actions helped him to escape the hell hole of his ancestors. The man is a total jackass on every level. Forget boring. It will be a relief to have someone in the White House with even a scintilla of intelligence.

Grandmothers say the darndest things. There's the case of Obama's grandmother Sarah Obama claiming she was in the hospital in Kenya when Obama was born. Then there's birth certificate no. 32018, of Coast Province General Hospital, Mombasa, British Protectorate of Kenya, for a child bearing the name of Barack Hussein Obama II Sex M. This certificate would seem to support Grandma Sarah's story rather than that of the Democrat Party cover-up platoons.

can have our freedoms back . He is much tougher that most imagine. He has a reputation in the business community of completing all jobs in a timely manner and with excellence. diogenes| 4.24.12 @ 10:21AM
Romney has earned his spurs. He can beat Obama if all Republicans support him. The emphasis is on ALL. I spoke at length to a Democratic party professional election manager who told me that Romney will lose by 10 points, because the Tea Party and the Religious Right will refuse to support Romney, and will divide the GOP vote by putting up some screwball to run.
If the TP, the RR, and the ideologues cling to their bitter notions and sulk at home rather than support a man who has outlasted Gingrich, Santorum, Ron Paul, or the ex-luminaries like Sarah Palin or Herman Cain, they will be of enormous help to Obama's election prospects. The Tea Party's preferred candidates are noteworthy for one attribute: they know how to rile the rubes and garner attention and money from them. They have, however, been notably lacking in sensible ideas or achievable programs.
The majority of Americans do not like, and certainly do not want to be governed by, people who are popular with the TP or RR. They don't like the moralisms these people spew, and they can't fail to note the hatred that these people display towards anyone who opposes their views.
The most obvious feature of the Tea Party true believers is their appalling lack of intellect--some can't even write a literate post, or think that name-calling and serial capitalization signify compelling arguments. The truth is that most of the Tea Party true believers would be quite comfortable supporting a George Wallace, were he running today. When this election if over, the Tea Party will be a dead letter, once and for all, a latter day John Birch Society. I look forward to the day when they just shut up and return to their positions under the bridge.

Once again, your troll identification skills are demonstrated. In his previous posts earlier this year, Diogenes has given every indication of being what you describe.
I've composed a bit of rhyme to give him appropriate tribute:
Diogenes was an ancient Greek
He’s often called a cynic
But when it came to begging
He could really give a clinic
Twas said he sought an honest man
But in fact he just smelled bad
Eating onions every day
He was a pungent lad
In modern times when one so named
Should happen to come by
To sleep but not bathe in the tub
He chose to occupy
When folks in here are talking
He chose to interrupt
And tell all just how good he was
While those here are corrupt
But from the lies he utters
No one needs protection
If he calls you cruel or stupid
It’s merely just projection

May I suggest you put a (c) 2012 or write copyright2012 at the end to protect your creativity. You may want to collect and publish these.
If Mrs. Martin can trademark "Treyvon" they you can copyright your intellectual property.
I like the names of these trolls. Usually it is Clint operating under a variety of names. If someone honestly wants to vote for Obama instead of Romney, then vote for Obama, who cares. But who wants to read the same old every day that "I just can't bring myself to vote for Romney because.....blah, blah."
That was an informative discussion on the Martin affidavit of probable cause. It looks like a weak case if that is all the evidence, and there is no reason to not put in the affidavit all the key evidence since it must all be disclosed, and this is not a drug case as you pointd out. The statements of Treyvon to his girlfriend are hearsay, and I suspect they did a voice analysis of the cries for "help" allegedly by Treyvon.

Romney has a VERY Liberal voting record, doubled down on Socialist RomneyCare, is the only GOPer NOT to sign the pro-life pledge, and a serial flip flopper that would make a Dem blush. No reason to believe that he will keep any more of his promises than Comrade Barry has made to his minons.
Boring, I can deal with. To the hard Left of McCain, I cannot...
Conserdude| 4.24.12 @ 11:21AM
Mitt Romney is a flawed presidential candidate - until you start comparing him to every other GOP nominee of the last 80 years, other than Reagan and Ike. Romney is the man this nation needs - he is a can-do president in a country that needs solutions and competence. His history is being successful at nearly everything he's tried, except for defeating Sen. Ted Kennedy in the '94 election (though he gave him the biggest scare of his career other than Chappaquiddick). While Romney has a history of flip-flops and moderation, he's a right-of-center man who has adapted to the needs and the office. No longer running in blue-state Massachusetts, he is now articulating a vision and competence that sharply contrasts with the hopeless, incompetent, left-wing ideologue in the White House.

From the Article:
"At this point, I am surprised he hasn't got around to blaming his dog Bo, but his turn may soon come."
Yep. He'll blame Bo for the runs he'll have after eating him.
The fact remains that although Mitt's not MY guy, he's THE ONLY GUY. This country cannot afford another term of Obama. If that man is re-elected, our Republic will cease to be. I will not be amongst the "sunshine patriots and summer soldiers" who will stay home, write somone in or vote for a 3rd party candidate. To me, those folks are selfish. THERE IS NO OTHER ALTERNATIVE.
If Romney choses a good VP, is elected & does well, he sets up a good chance for his VP to succeed him. However, doing well in his first term will be MORE than difficult. It will take a LOT of time & pain (for SOME, not all) for him & the Congress to un-screw everything that this current "president" & his cohorts have screwed up. And if we thought that the media crapped on & slanted the hell out of their coverage of Bush, just THINK how vindictive they'll be if the nation's first "black" "president" is a one term wonder. The stories about how his repudiation confirms how "racist" this nation is will flow like a river through the various media outlets. COUNT ON IT!

I think along with picking a conservative VP the thing that he shouldn't do is pick another business person like himself.
His VP must address the other non business wing of majority of normal Americans.
Romney will pick a social conservative so that if he wins his VP can smooth over those folks when the social issues go bye bye
But in all seriousness, as much as I like Ryan and his vision, he would be the wrong book end to a global Corporatist policy wonk like Romney.

As an old white guy I believe that if Romney picks an old or older white guy, his campaign, along with the compliant leftist media will beat that drum night and day.....proof the GOP is the party of white guys, etc.
I have said before I believe Condi Rice would be a good pick but I've taken fire for that suggestion.

We're conservatives, which means we don't go looking for modern messiahs, political or cultural.
We don't have to expect that Romney will meet 100% of all our expectations and requirements.
We're just going to have to work with him, and all the while swell the number of conservatives up on Capitol Hill.
So support Romney.
Support Murdoch and purge Lugar.
Purge Hatch.
And go forward!
Drek| 4.24.12 @ 3:25PM
It's now the time for DREK to sign off, once and for all.
It was only a temporary nom de plum, never intended to become some permanent thing.
Lastly, we do have to make sure that Romney selects an articulate conservative for the ticket. That person has to be able to launch the attacks that we're not likely to see from Romney himself. So whoever he selects, that person must have an appetite for going after liberals, liberalism, progressives, progressivism, and all manner of sacred cows and liberal canards.

How many comments has he made along the lines of "when I am elected prez, the planet will begin to heal and the waters will begin to recede".
Does that sound like someone with an ego that will ever go away - like Nixon did, and Reagan did, and Bush the elder did, and Bush the younger did?

It is time for whitey to grow a pair. We already have our's in Texas, but whites in some other states like PA, IL, CA, OH, FL, NJ, NY, and MI just don't have any balls.
I think most Texans feel like, hey, if they want it, come and get it.

When looking to protect your self and property, there are many options in firearms. A good Mossberg 500 Home Defense model goes about $330 in 12 gauge. There are better weapons out there, but that's a good economical model with many accessories available to customize.
There are lots of handguns available, depending on your level of skill and what you'd like to purchase. In a revolver, .357 magnum is versatile. In an auto, I wouldn't go less than .40 (though .357 SIG is good, there aren't as many handguns chambered in it), or the old American favorite, the .45.
Bill| 4.24.12 @ 3:54PM
Romney will
1. repeal Obamacare and Dod-Frank Bill
2. Balance the budget
3. create jobs
4. nominate conservative judges
5. explore offshore drilling
6. be pro-life, pro-family, and pro-gun
and he will NEVER lie to the American people. I'll vote for him, and FL will turn Red.

Cuban Pete:
Unfortunately, I must agree that in this cycle Romney will be hurt if he picks a VP white male of any age.
It was one thing for Clinton and Gore to run but they were democrats and Clinton was basically the first black president..
Republican candidates that follow the first other Black President will be under a serious media micrscope.
That said, if Marco Rubio won't run as VP than there may be no choice but to run a conservative white guy that's really qualified.
A lot depends on what happens to Obama Care in June.
If Obama Care is upheld...then Romney can ask Mickey Mouse to be VP and he will still be our next pres 60--40 per cent.
If Obama Care is struck down then its going to be a battle Royal....

David| 4.24.12 @ 8:46PM
Let's see: Who do we need as VP to win the election. It is too difficult getting women unless they are of the common sense variety with conservative leanings. There are simply too many single women with children getting all manner of government subsidies plus the Earned Income Tax Credit every year. And 47% of voters don't pay any fed income taxes.
What we need to win are blue collar workers, including many union types who object to having their dues used for left-wing politicians and causes, conservative democrats, and even conservative Catholics.
Let's think a minute. Who of all the candidates that have been mentioned or we know of who can attact those voters?
Other than John Kasich, the strongest conservative we can get to attract the above voters is ......................yes..............Rick Santorum.

Please, give me a break.. Being neat and boring, does not mean he is the opposite of Obama. Romney's is the same as Obama, just Obama lite-
Ronald Reagan and Reagan Conservatism is what got us out of the Carter Catastrophic malaise and stagflationary recession of the 1970's, and gave us decades of economic, political, and social prosperity.. NOT the liberal lite progressivism of the GOP RINO establishment.
As a staunch Reagan Constitutional Conservative Tea Party person, and a retired US Military after 21 yrs of service, I am of the opinion and stand against supporting and voting for Mr Obama lite GOP establishment Progressive Republican elitist RINO Romney, in any shape or form, just to appease the appeasers and "go alongers" of liberal progressivism, that the general public likes to think is good.
Of course, when one is as liberal policy minded as the Romney-ite loyalists are, let alone the Independents whom all believe that compromise and appeasement is the best way to deal with the radical hard left, the facts and truth about Romney's liberal record and agenda actually seems conservative to them. So it doesn't surprise me when one someone starts their view point from the far left Mass moderate RINO progressive liberal position, instead of the US Constitutional "Right" of the Founding Fathers, that they naturally think anyone who actually believes in Individual Freedom and Liberty, the US Constitution and the Bill of Rights, Conservative Values and Principles of fiscal, financial, and political constraints of limited govt, etc, are just crazy Reagan Conservative Tea Party people.
In the words of President Ronald Reagan- "There you go again"
Romney's past as Gov of Mass., reflects what Romney will be in the future as President, as he has never veered away from what he was and what he is now. He is a liberal progressive, as he has so publically stated, along with his record as Gov. Thus he has never shown any ability, willingness, or propensity whatsoever to be either conservative in thought, policy, or action, ever.
As a Conservative, let alone a s a Republican RINO, how does one defend a Ted Kennedy collaborated forced mandated substandard inferior State Socialized Medicine that bankrupts the residents, citizens, and Independent businesses and companies in the Free Market Capitalist Free Enterprise system of a State, let alone the Nation, but then turns around and argues that he must repeal Obamacare, the very same thing he implemented and refuses to refute and repeal in his own State called Romneycare.
And people actually buy this BS horse manure.. And People actually believe everything and anything Romney shovels them.. It’s no wonder why Obama was elected in the first place.
Mr. Mass. Liberal Progressive RINO Romeny's record as Mass Gov. clearly shows that Romney supported gun control, gay rights, liberal activist judges, inferior substandard socialized state medicine, tax hikes, every asinine kooky global warming cap and trade policy, and just about every other stupid, budget busting liberal progressive idea that came down the Mass pike.
The Truth speaks for itself, and all the Romney GOP Progressive Republican RINO propaganda and delusional denial by all the progressive RINO Romney-ites in the world cannot hide it, let alone makes taste any better. For all intents and purposes, Romney should be Obama's running mate.
Romney will be another Herbert Hoover, and will of down just like Herbert Hoover, thus destroy whatever is left of the Republican Party, along with America as only a Progressive Republican Party RINO can do. Thus this will only ensure the survival of the Democratic Party, and more Obama's elected in the future. But of course people never listen to the historical facts of record, just like 2008, but only what they want to hear and believe.
It's now very clear that this country is definitely headed in the wrong direction, from both sides of the political aisle. But ultimately, it is the people who share in this responsibility in a democratically elected Republic like ours, as they must also be responsible for their own actions as the people who elected these politicians- ie; Obama and or Romney, into power and office in the first place. Unfortunately, there are far too many liberal GOP establishment progressive RINO's, than there are Reagan Conservatives
This is why we have consequences of elections when the wrong person is elected to high office in the first place, let alone again.
Nick099| 4.25.12 @ 8:42AM
I heard Romney and his wife off the record with Hannity last week. They sounded quite funny, very humble, and very real. I doubt anyone cares if he is boring. The man is the best hope to fix the Nation.
Peter R. Terminello| 4.25.12 @ 12:51PM
Mitt Romney is boring and hasn't a clue what an average American is and should stop trying to identify with us. He isn't one of us. He seems like a nice guy, but he can only identify with the 1% of the 1%. He is different from Bill Gates who uses his wealth to help others while Romney uses his to inflate his ego by trying to buy the presidency. Joe Martin was a Republican from Massachusetts who did understand the real Americans because he was one of us. The trouble is most leaders in the two major parties are super rich. We need someone who can identify with us, the real majority of Americans. John Huntsman is not the phony Mitt Romney is. Huntsman said he is rich and could not begin to identify with the average American, but would like to learn by listening to people who could explain their needs. Huntsman would be a great third party candidate and though super rich he is not a hypocrite like Romney.
Romney is going to have a problem when it is brought up that his religion does not really recognize the separation of church and state. A late leader of his church, Ezra Taft Benson said that the U.S. Constitution is a sacred document inspired by God. He also said that the Mormon church will be called on to save the Constitution in a future disaster. Benson and other Mormon leaders said that all the founders of the United States appeared en masse to a prophet of their church in the Saint George Temple and demanded that their work for membership in the church be done. That means Romney as a good Mormon believes that all the founders are now Mormon.
And they also believe the Garden of Eden is in Missouri. Its all about America and the Mormon Church being one. All are entitled to their beliefs and I respect that, but most Americans believe in a secular society.
We need a truthful person running this country who doesn't buy elections or worry about the polls. I wish my good friend Barry Goldwater was around. He, you could trust.
