The Che Guevara Democrat Party

Under Obama-Pelosi, this isn’t even George McGovern’s party anymore.

But it is part of President Obama’s reelection strategy for him to pose as hamstrung into taking extraordinary actions to counter recalcitrant Republicans seeking to protect Wall Street and big shot bankers from the loving Democrats just trying to protect the little guy. Most of what President Obama does and says, in fact, is calculated deception, based on fooling the little guy into supporting Democrat authoritarianism, or worse, in a second term, with calculation as to what that little guy doesn’t and won’t know, and what a party controlled media won’t tell him.

So President Obama doesn’t care about what the law says. By the time the legal system catches up with him, he will be reelected, he figures. And maybe by then he will have appointed more fellow Marxists to the Supreme Court, who don’t care about what the law says either.

As McConnell added in the Journal regarding Obama’s illegal appointments:

This is not the first time this administration has asserted unilateral executive power beyond past presidential practice and the seeming letter of the Constitution. Its slender justification for going to war in Libya without a congressional declaration persuaded almost no one, and its evading of the reporting requirements of the War Powers Resolution — over the legal objection of Justice Department lawyers — was even more brazen.

McConnell explained, “Indeed, the Obama Administration has admitted to a strategy of government by executive order when it cannot prevail through proper legislative channels.”

For example, instead of seeking legislative changes to the No Child Left Behind education law passed under President Bush, it has used waiver authority to implement Obama policies that were never legislatively enacted. When even a Democrat supermajority Congress refused to pass cap and trade legislation, the President used the EPA to implement it instead, telling us ominously “there is more than one way to skin a cat.” And when the Democrat supermajority Congress also refused to pass “card check” legislation, which would abolish secret ballot elections for workers to decide whether they wanted a union, the President’s National Labor Relations Board announced it would impose the policy by regulation. And now the President is making illegal appointments to that Board.

And your friends and neighbors are considering whether to give this authoritarian a second term? Imagine what that would be like, with Obama never having to stand for election again. Would there even be another election?

Che’s Tax Policy

Talk about calculated deception. President Obama has spent the past year telling the American people that the rich don’t pay any taxes, leaving the middle class and working people to pay it all, when more nearly the opposite is true.

Even before President Obama was elected, official IRS data showed that in 2007 the top 1% of income earners paid 40.4% of all federal income taxes, almost twice their share of adjusted gross income. The top 5% paid 60.6% of all federal income taxes, while earning 37.7% of adjusted gross income. The top 10% paid 71.2% of all income taxes, while earning 48% of adjusted gross income.

By contrast, the bottom 95% of income earners paid 39.4% of all federal income taxes. That means the top 1% of income earners paid more federal income taxes than the bottom 95%!

Again, this was before the comprehensive, across the board, tax rate increases for every major federal tax central to President Obama’s economic plan, which Obama has already enacted into current law to go into effect next year. He justified those soaring rate increases by saying they were necessary to ensure that the rich paid their fair share of taxes. But given the truth above, just what would be their “fair share?”

The same tax policies are found in Democrat-run states. In California, the top 1% of income earners pay 48% of all state income taxes. The top 1% of income earners in New York pay 41% of all state income taxes. The top 1% of income earners in New Jersey pay 46% of all state income taxes.

Moreover, in 2007, again before President Obama was even elected, the bottom 40% of income earners as a group paid no federal income taxes. Instead, they received net payments from the income tax system equal to 3.8% of all federal income taxes. In other words, they paid negative 3.8% of federal income taxes. The middle 20% of income earners, the actual middle class, paid 4.7% of all federal income taxes.

This is the result of Reagan Republican supply-side economics that began with Reagan and Jack Kemp in the 1970s and 1980s, continued through Newt Gingrich and his Contract With America, and further played out with the Bush tax cuts of 2001 and 2003. Reagan and his Republicans abolished federal income taxes on the poor and what liberals call the working class. Moreover, they almost abolished federal income taxes on the actual middle class (the middle 20%).

Apology on posted 3x in a row; however some of you are mistaken in thinking I'm gloating that the GOP might lose next November, when I am gloating that 2nd and 3rd rate GOP candidates might lose.
There wasn't much anger at Ike and Reagan being elected in the '50s and '80s-- because both decades were good decades.

And Reagan Democrats did exist in the '80s, and do exist still; Reagan Democrats are not mythological creatures such as phoenixes and unicorns.

emo| 1.18.12 @ 5:04PM

Reagan Democrats no longer exist, well they do, but they are 70-90 years old today.

Take a 50 year old auto worker in 1980 in McComb County, MI.
He is angry about inflation
Opposes busing
Pro-Vietnam war
Was A Korean war Vet
Doesnt like feminism
Was front and cernter for the 1967-68 Detroit Riots

That is why he voted for Nixon in 72 and Reagan in 80 and 84. He relectantly voted Bush in 88 and in 92 voted either Clinton (welafre reform) or Perot.

If he is atill alive he either has moved to FL or AZ or still lives in MI and is on public assistance. Either way, his issues of 1980, no longer are relevant.

My dearest Alan;

Concerning your response to my remarks yesterday. I wanted to sincerely thank you for your post! I’m so sorry I was not up late enough to respond promptly to your “You'll be dead soon-an accident” comment.

OMG, thank you so much for that! I have not had such an excellent belly laugh in weeks! Sorry, I know it’s politically incorrect for me to find humor at the expense of those with diminished mental capacity, so I hope you’ll understand and forgive me.

Under normal circumstances, I would ask a “man” if he were predicting or planning, but given the evidence of your immaturity and idiocy, I could not help but envision the burglars from home alone.

I know that in deference to your ominous comment I should probably lock myself up and hide, but alas, you, or one of your evil minions would probably discover me because I will still be giggling about your death threat for days to come.

Although posting your sinister designs for my demise certainly falls under the category of intelligence I have come to expect from you, I am content knowing that your wishful thinking will have no affect my continued well being.

Thanks again for the laugh!

Bear cunter,
since you Rightists like violence so much, I merely predicted a possible- and well deserved- sudden demise for you in an accident. Slipping on a banan peel off the Grand Canyon is an unusual way to go, just for instance. Many other ways to go, as well.

But don't believe everything you read.

Tina B| 1.20.12 @ 11:59AM

Not to mention sexist, and I am not a feminist. There is probably no word I like to hear less.

Just fyi, and an older female's point of view: The f-word is in no way sexist. It is an olde English [removed]for unlawful carnal knowledge) and can be inserted in any sentence for emphasis, albeit crude. It is not really offensive to me, nor is it to most of my friends who are teachers, a beauty shop manager, nurses, psychologists, therapists, and others, formally educated and not so formally educated.

I have successfully used it as an adjective, an adverb, the usual verb, a simple noun, or, as I referred to above, as an insert in any sentence to emphasize something. I had to lose the habit rapidly on becaoming a public school teacher. I never cussed in class in twenty years teaching 8th graders. (Some wonderful teachers have slipped, some still do)

Now, I apologize to those who know I am a Christ lover and follower, who in my early 60s can still not conquer my potty mouth.

Too many years waiting tables and bartending at a pool-bar, developed in me the ability to out-cuss cooks, chefs, busboys, fellow waiters, dishwashers etc. I can do it with humor and without. I am a potty mouth. However I limited myself to the f-word and bodily functions, animals and their body parts, and maybe the name of a male body part which also happens to refer to Richard craniums.

But IMHO, the c--- word is over the line because it is the absolutely ugliest way to refer to a female body part and most women find it a repulsive name. I may have heard a woman use it once, and I can't even remember who, but it seems she was calling another woman this word, because of something horrible the other woman did to her.

Just as I know that there are one or two filthy Spanish swear words, (I learned 'em in my teens growing up in Cali) which most Hispanic men would NEVER say in the presence of a female, this is an English word that most males would NEVER say in the presence of an English speaking female.

Alan is either gay ( I mean this as no offense to anyone who is gay and has some manners) with absolutely no clue about offending women because he could give a rat's ass about us anyway. Or he is just a boorish lout who wandered into a decent website a long time ago and likes to stir his slime around and will stay forever.

Either way, more is the pity. You suck, Alan, big green weenies. Take that.

The Republicans gave us huge bailouts, the Fed running the economy into the ground, massive violations of our civil liberties, endless wars for Israel and the military Industrial complex, torture, Ex rays and feel ups at air ports, and massive trillion dollar deficits.

I agree Obama wants to be Hugo Chavez. He is also a clone of the Republican elite. He and Cheney are cousins who agree on most issues. The only change possible in this country is Ron Paul.

Boar Hunter| 1.18.12 @ 12:41PM

Here’s a poll question for you and Clint today Jack-O.

What percentage of attendees in the audience tried to Boo Ron Paul’s ignorant ass off the stage during the last debate?

Ron Paul is a whiney, effeminate, American hating nut. He is crazy and you two are simply cultist's following a lunatic.

Apparently your real purpose in supporting him is the legalization of drugs.

I noticed on one of Paul's money grubbing sites that a high percentage of the cult members who were posting their support via facebook, had pictures of marijuana leaves or photos of themselves smoking pot.

Good thinking, after four years of the communist Obama, I know I'll turn the country over to a bunch of dope smoking isolationists who want to sit in their rooms and smoke dope all day.

What bothers Me most about the RED party has beens is not the KKK cards hidden in their wallets, not the 'Government by innuendo', legislation through court hearings, or the worthless stonewalling of any progress because the sitting President insults their ignorance... it's that they are soooo proud of LYING about being racists, lying about caring for their constituents, lying about being Patriots.

Patriots don't write laws that violate the Constitution, tie them to a excruciatingly late and necessary Defense bill and blame the guy who signs it. Patriots don't hijack the legislative process in defiance of the peoples will, and destroy the good faith and credit of the United States. Patriots don't fabricate intelligence, forum shop a confirmation from the 7th outside agency (6 others denounced Bush 30,000 WMD pipebomb dream 1st) and condemn 5 thousand Americans to death without trial. Patriots don't torture.

The biggest thing Patriots DO DO is be Patriotic for ALL their fellow countrymen..... ANd you REDS just ain't even close. you Govern, Of the party, by the party and for the party... just like Stalin, just like Khruschev, just like Saddam Hussien.

And you are SOO ashamed of your behavior, you have to LIE about lying about it.

Ferrara's points are absolutely accurate, the administration's use of the Constitution as a door mat for their fancy Florsheim's is in full view, yet what are we hearing from our candidates on the campaign trail?

Echos of Eating Their Own.

What Obama is, has and will continue doing with his remaining year at 1600 reminds me of the futility of trying to put toothpaste back in its tube. Too many among us maintain a hope that a President Romney, Gingrich or a Santorum type will fix things ... later. But my question NOW, as it has been since this Marxist was voted into office:

Where the hell were the Boehner's and McConnell's while all this was going on?

My best guess? The neighborhood Costco stocking up on cases of Kleenex.

Meanwhile, the toothpaste continues leaking.

The Che Party is precisely why the USA is doomed as a constitutional republic that respects its citizens liberties and freedoms.

This is why EVERY single election since 2000, has been the most important election of our lifetimes and why 2012 will be too. We have a party dedicated to the destruction of the USA as a free market capitalist country, the Demorats. Thus all they have to do to make their transformation is win ONE election. The GOP OTHO must win EVERY election, an impossible task. Thus the country is doomed.

Tom Osterman| 1.18.12 @ 8:59PM

Not necessarily. If a Republican administration, with the support of Republicans in Congress, applies itself to cutting back spending on the programs that can't be abolished (which should be done if possible), then the Dems will have to dedicate their next at-bat to rebuilding what the GOP took down, and do it over GOP opposition, maybe even public opposition.

Yeah, I know, it's a slim possibility at best.

fckewe| 1.19.12 @ 1:49PM

Or were they possibly renegades who believed that with their family money and political power, together they could overcome Communism? I am learning so much now about the history of the American power brokers and their (so-far successful) plans to change the world, the mention of the Kennedys in this context leads me to that question. Anybody? anybody?

Can you imagine?

Can you imagine the OUTCRY, if George Bush gave MILLIONS of Tax Dollars to HIS Campaign Bundlers, to bail out THEIR Companies, and then twisted the Laws, so that THEY got their lost money back, instead of the Taxpayers?

What if he gave BILLION$ in Stimulus Money to HIS Supporters, instead of Creating Jobs, as he promised?

Yeah you're correct.....Obama created MORE GOVERNMENT JOBS!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Bill Hussein O'Stalin| 1.18.12 @ 6:41AM

The Obama administration makes the corrupt Grant administration look tame by comparison.

From the bribes and payouts during the Obamacare process, to 786 billion wasted in a stimulus which turned out to be nothing but a money laundering scheme, to illegal recess appointments, to a White House staffed with communists, American haters and left wing czars, Obama has proven to exist outside the law in many ways.

And where is the Justice Department? Just as corrupt, staffed with terrorists lovers (The Al-Qaeda Seven, Google it), and anti-civil rights specialists who refuse to indict blacks with bats at polling places.

In essence, we have a lawless government and that's why the economy dwells in fear. When the public observes such lawlessness they can only believe it's better to do nothing and wait the criminal class out.

Mimi| 1.18.12 @ 7:18AM

Why ....do not the honorable Senators, House members in the Democrat lawless Party stand -up for America? Are they afraid to be called Racist?
Where are the Honorable , men and women of character in the NEWS MEDIA...those who believe in TRUTH as Journalist ?
" When the public observes such lawlessness they can only believe it's better to DO NOTHING and wait the criminal class out"
Thats not good enough for me....!!!

Bill Hussein O'Stalin| 1.18.12 @ 8:03AM

Then grab a pitchfork!

Anthony| 1.18.12 @ 9:08AM

They do nothing Mimi because they have lost their collective will to act honorably. Fear, and the desire to maintain the status quo at all cost have rendered Congress impotent and corrupt.
As for the media, these whores give prostitutes a bad name.
It's time to shake the foundations of Washington once again!!

Anthony| 1.18.12 @ 9:49AM

Let me add to this; when I say Congress has lost its collective will to act honorably, I mean to say that those who are not the "true lefty believers" know that they have let things get completely out of hand, due to their lost faith in American exceptionalism, our Constitutional Republic, and their own cowardice.
I suspect even the lefties are frightened and fearful of what their incompetence, arrogance, and stupidity have created, and are incapable of doing anything about it.
It's like watching a fire you've started in the fireplace roar out of control. They stand there mute and immobile, unable to comprehend how they collectively have destroyed our nation, despite the fact that some have wanted this all along.
To do the right thing now would be an admission that Washington has failed the people. So both parties have become fearful of their own constituents. They pretend to govern on behalf of the people but are hunkering down for the eventual firestorm, and Obozo is the flame that will ignite it all.

I read a chilling article over at American Thinker this morning...Ignorant voters a majority.

Ken (Old Texican) | 1.18.12 @ 7:38AM

Peter,
another thought; our nominee will have to simply get the message out to the ignorant in terms they can understand.
ie: "We have spent all our money on you already AND we have maxed out the national credit card."
or:
"Mr and Ms. ignorant voter...Obama four more years will find you on a communal farm...with a government overseer."

He is lawless and a thug. Shame on the media for excusing this man, actually, being his enabler.

oldfart| 1.18.12 @ 8:38AM

That will work until the AG 'discovers massive voter fraud because all the dead people are not allowed to vote and suspends the elections. And people will not be allowed to be bussed from poll to poll to follow the Democrap model of 'vote early - vote often. Think it will not happen here?

George True| 1.18.12 @ 2:13PM

O.F., something chilling happened to me yesterday. I was coming out of my local Costco here in Phoenix and there was a nice looking young man with a clipboard asking people to sign up for an early ballot. On the underside of his clipboard was the infamous "O" sticker, so I knew instantly who was behind this and why. But I played dumb and asked him what difference it made if people voted by early (absentee) ballot or in person on election day. His response was that it increased voter turnout. My response to him was that it also greatly increases the potential for voter fraud, as there effectively is no policing of people voting by early ballot and then also casting another vote on election day. He simply ignored my response and went on to the next person.

Right now, as we speak, the Che Guevara party is probably doing this at Costco's and Sam's Clubs and WalMarts all across the country, undoubtedly for the purpose of perpetrating massive voter fraud in every state. And the Stupid Party continues to do nothing to counter it. I am not optimistic about the chances of unseating the Marxist monster in November when his voter fraud machine continues to operate and expand unabated.

Sounds like pub talk in Germany just before the Socialists German Workers Party took over in the 30's

JimH| 1.18.12 @ 8:44AM

Most earlier generation leftist Dems were sincere in their beliefs. Wrongheaded but well meaning. The current crop, Obama, Pelosi and the like have more in common with the old Soviet Nomenklatura or Chinese party members who mouth the old Marxist platitudes and sing the revolutionary songs while at the same time pocketing their insider dealing profits, going on expensive worker funded vacations and sending their children to exclusive schools. This is all described in Animal Farm.

Lullabys, Legends and Lies| 1.18.12 @ 8:47AM

November can't get here fast enough for me!! But between now and then, remember to pray for the health and welfare of the five Supreme Court Justices who are giving us the only chance of undoing what this completely evil Administration has brought to us!! Could you imagine if Obama gets the chance to nominate another Leftist to the Court before we kick him out of office? The flickering light of freedom that we have left now, will be completely extinguished, never to be lit again!! But let not your hearts be troubled (as Hannity likes to say), because when (and I said when, not if), when we vote him out of office in November, and keep the House, and take the Senate by a filibuster proof majority, we can force feed everything down the throats of the Democratic Party!! How do you like that Commies? Does that taste good to you? Tastes just like chicken, huh? Here then, have some more Mother F*&$#r's!! Mmmm, yumm!! But we've got to make it to November first, and that seems like a lifetime away right now!! But we'll get there, I'm sure of that, and then let the force feeding begin!!

Anthony| 1.18.12 @ 9:02AM

Quick Peter, you need to email this article to David Brooks over at the NYT.
Apparently, Brooksie has finally stopped fixating on Obozo's pant creases and has determined that Obozo " is more liberal than I thought".
It's a start for ole Brooksie at the Times; he'll develop a case of the vapors when he reads your article. It will be a bit more than he can handle right now.
Poor Brooksie, he can cry on MoDo's shoulder.

How many murders were committed on the planet, among the 7 billion inhabitants, in the calendar year 2011, do you suppose?

Cynicon Implant| 1.18.12 @ 9:16AM

Well Peter, you may be correct in everything you say in this article but I'm afraid it is not going to help much come November. What do students learn in school today about Che? Castro? Marx? Natural Rights? Look at your children's textbooks, read the novels they are assigned, look at school recommended reading lists and then get engaged to propose changes

Tina B| 1.20.12 @ 8:32PM

yes, yes, yes. Parents' voices are still heard at the County Office level. At least for a while longer, anyway.

As far as history lessons go. . . Che? Teachers have pics of him in their room, a la trendy watches and handbags. Castro? a very charismatic leader, with great medical care in the hospitals in Cuba. Marx? Which one? Groucho, Chico, Zeppo, which Marx? Lenin? Marx brothers' buddy, or deceased ex-Beatle. Stalin? Roosevelts chum. Mao? Great Chinese leader, huge political machine, very successful militarily.

Sorry, that's how they tell it. I have learned more American history on my own in the three and a half months I've been retired than I ever learned in 12 years of private education in California and matriculating at 7 different colleges in two states and obtaining a BS and a M.Ed.

Of what value was my education? I reckon I was schooled. And I was given a few classics to read. But the history (as we called it then in the pre-'Social Studies' days) was woefully inaccurate and inadequate. Most of it was massaged and some of it outright lies.

My children listen to me as I learn in my older years and try to teach them the truth of it all. The responsibility to teach their children is the parents'. The public schools just school our kids. It is up to us to see that they get educated, not just schooled. Families, do your jobs.

Al Adab| 1.18.12 @ 10:35AM

Problem is NB that voters simply cannot comprehend that the old once proud and Patriotic DEM party is a thing of the past. This is no longer a party which puts its country first, but rather has become an instrument of the collectivist Left which adheres to an ideology of guilt and actually wishes to see the United States relegated to a lower position and smaller role in world affairs. Freedom and Liberty are to them of little value and they seek instead an egalitarian utopia which can only be created (and imposed) through statist action. They seek only their own power to achieve their agenda.

Con Chef (NB) | 1.18.12 @ 12:27PM

What's more is that they fail to realize the lessons of history. None of the utopian "movements" have produced anything but death, destruction & misery.

"Not to know what has been transacted in former times is to be forever a child. If no use is made of the labors of past ages, then the world must always remain in the infancy of knowledge."...Marcus Tullius Cicero

Al Adab| 1.18.12 @ 5:43PM

NB:
...and we know what Octavian did to Cicero.

Con Chef (NB) | 1.18.12 @ 6:57PM

Indeed we do. Cicero is regarded by many to be one of the first examples of a conservative politicians in history. He certainly was one of the most elegant orators in the entire history of Rome, either the Republic OR the Empire. I'm a fan of Cicero's Philippics, his series of orations decrying the usurpations of Julius Caesar, Mark Antony, and later, Octavian.

For those who've never heard of them, the main focus of these barb laden yet eloquent orations (14 of them) is Antony. While the conservative faction to which Cicero belonged (the "optimates") had more successes than that of Demosthenes (for whom Cicero's Philippics were named), it eventualy suffered the same fate.

The murderers of Caesar, chiefly Brutus and Cassius, (Cicero was NOT involved with, though he approved of , Caesar's murder) were pursued by Antony shortly after the deed was committed. Antony & Octavian, who was named Caesar's son in his will, combined their forces & began the pursuit of the forces of Brutus & Cassius. They met at the battle of, ironically enough, Philippi. After the battle, with Cassius having committed suicide when his positions were overrun by Antony's forces, Brutus fled, later to end his life in the same way.

Cicero, in the meantime had been in exile. On December 7, 43 BC, Antony's assassins finally caught up with him & slew him. His last words, according to Plutarch, were, "There is nothing proper about what you are doing soldier, but do try to kill me properly." On Antony's orders, Cicero's head and hands were cut off and displayed in the Forum in Rome as a waring to those who might seek follow his example and take up his cause.

While I agree 100% with Peter on supply-side, Austrian economics and the positive tax revenue effects of tax cuts; I think the real issue is property rights and "Rule of Law." If you do not have these, tax rates are an ancillary issue.

Consider:
- TARP, bailouts and crony capitalism stimulus spending has REDISTRIBUTED trillions of of dollars from the general taxpayer to special interests and fascist controled enitities
- Chrysler bankruptcy usurped bond holder's investments to fund union pension and benefits
- Bills of Attainder against IG Walpin and others
- ignoring Judge Feldman's reversal of the drilling moratorium subsequent to a fake, phoney report
- Suing AZ for enforcing immigration laws
- NLRB suing Boeing for creating jobs in right to work state
- ObamaCare repeals your right to life and medical liberty
- Dodd Frank takes hold of your banking and credit card/debit card liberties
- Cordray non-recess recess appointment to a unconstitutional financial board with no oversight
- Selective DOJ enforcement
- "Fast and Furious" to undermine 2nd Amendment
- Solyndra payoff and subordination of taxpayers to crony capitalist
And on , and on, and on......

So if you have not figured out that you are no longer a citizen, but a subject; and you are not any longer part of a Constitutional Representative Republic; you must be an idiot. And I don't mean this in a perjorative way, but an idiot that is mentally deficient. What is the significance of tax rates if people cannot find jobs; and arbitrary, capricious government dictatorial rulers at EPA, NLRB and other uncontrolled Agencies decide if your property belongs to you?

Ken (Old Texican) | 1.18.12 @ 11:02AM

RCV,
You had better pray earnestly that you are dead wrong on all above.

You evidently have prospered in the admittedly flawed system we have. You and your children CANNOT prosper except as government overseers, (senior serfs), if Obama has his way with his communist team and his useful idiots.

Obama can only have his way over the dead bodies of about 50 million armed patriots.

Above is my personal declaration of independence to which I pledge my life ...and my sacred honor.

RCV| 1.18.12 @ 11:26AM

Ken: Your flair for the dramatic -- maybe it's a Texas quality -- is getting the best of you. I earnestly pray that I am right not wrong. Obama is not a "communist" and neither am I.

You and I both live in the freeest, most prosperous society in history. We have instant access to millions of people to speak our minds without the slightest interference. We live in a country where more people have a voice in their governance than ever in history -- men, women, rich, poor, young adults as well as old. Most people live in a luxury that even fifty years ago was not available to anyone but the super rich. If you really think of yourself as a "serf", you have a misconception of reality that is so far off the mark as to be laughable.

I really wish that folks on the TAS right, as well as the Occupy Wall Street nuts on the left, would stop their whining and thank God for the many, many blessings they have in this country.

I'm old enough, and wise enough, Ken, to know that whether Barack Obama or Mitt Romney (and that WILL be the choice) are elected, whether the GOP or the Democrats control Congress, whether Health Care Reform stands or falls before the Supreme Court -- our great Republic will endure, just fine thank you.

RCV,
your only problem is with the "tenses" you employ.
ie: "live, lived, will live".
Surely even an argumentative lawyer can discipher the differences.

Are you truly so blinded that you can't see the communist spiral already begun?

Supposedly, you make your living making sure the law is upheld. Well what happens when you get crossways with what the communists decide what the law is?
Sir, forgive me, but you are foolish. They will come get you first....unless you kneel to them.

Finally, are you simply the "reasonable face" of dictatorial communism, paid very well to comment here?

Paid about the same as you, Ken.

Of course he's a Communist. It's in his Blood. It's in his DNA.

You'd have to be a total Dumbf*ck, to say that he isn't.

His Atheist Mommy, was a Communist. His "Typical White" Grandmother, was a Communist. His Communist Grandfather was a Communist. His 1st POS Mentor - Frank Marshall Davis, was a Communist.

Look at his Czars. Van Jones used to be a Czar. He's a Communist. His FCC Chairman, is a Communist. I'm willing to bet that his Science Czar - John Holdren - who wants to put STERILANTS in to our DRINKING WATER, and his Medical czar - Ezekiel Emanuel - who'd like China's "One Child Policy" over here, are Communists.

What's the matter, PVC? You sound nervous.

You don't think he's a Communist? Well, what about MARXIST? Is he a Marxist? Cause his Daddy was. A Muslim/Marxist, Whore Chasing DRUNK, who died, face down in a Kenyan Gutter. (Typical Black Man) His second Mentor - Jeremiah Wright - was a Marxist, and he went to a Marxist Church, for 20 Years. He started his Political Career in a Marxist's Living Room. If you read his Books, he says that: "I sought out the MARXIST PROFESSORS when I got to College".

His Health Care Plan. What's that? Communist? Marxist? Or, just Socialist?

What about OWNING the Car Companies? Communist? Or, Marxist?

Owning Stock in Banks and Insurance Companies?
Communist? Or, Marxist?

You're the Typical Left wing POS Punk. When you can't defend your position, you wanna change the subject.

When YOU are under attack by FACTS, you trot out your best Rodney King impersonation, pleading for everyone to "Just get along".

You want us to "STOP WHINING" as a Dictator runs around, Deciding which Laws he's gonna enforce, and which ones he isn't. Which Separations Of Power he will recognize, and which ones he'll ignore, and my favorite: What HE FEELS is Constitutional, and what he does not.

SIEG HEIL! SIEG HEIL! SIEG HEIL!

Let's all "Thank God for the many blessings that we have in this Country, and that His BOY - BARACK - is stripping away on a Daily Basis with his EPA - Property Rights. His NLRB - The Right for a Company - BOEING - to put a Factory in any State that they DAMN WELL FEEL LIKE.

Mandates on Health Care. What Cars we can drive, and what we can EAT. Mandating SEX EDUCATION, Gay Sex Education, and Anal Sex, and Masturbation, in our Children's Schools.

Mandating Religious Hospitals to carry BIRTH CONTROL. And, until this latest SCOTUS Decision, who the Church MUST HIRE to be Priests and Pastors.

Mandating UNION MEMBERSHIP for Parents who care for THEIR OWN Disabled Children.

Do I need to continue you Stupid MFing POS?

I'm so sick of SC*MBAGS, like this MFer.

He KNOWS what's going on. He just thinks that it won't happen to him. He thinks he's immune. He's like the Fox who gives the Scorpion a ride across the river. Or, the German Jew, who re-assured his fellow Jews that, what they feared, could never happen. After all....They were Germans.

This happens time after time, again and again, in our History. It's not like we're Virgins. it's not like we haven't seen all of this before.

We have!

And we've watched as these Benevolent Dictators Built their Camps, and Filled their Gulags. We've witnessed the Gas Chambers, and the Ovens. The Killing Fields, and the Mass Graves. And STILL, we have RCV's ASSURING US that it can't happen again. It can't happen here.

And, then, the Signs are being put over the Front Gate of the Camp.

"ARBEIT MACHT FREI"

Why is this so hard to understand?

RCV| 1.18.12 @ 3:35PM

Gee, TP, I must have missed those gulags and camps they're building, or the killing fields out there in Illinois. I guess I've not kept track of the groups they've hauled off to the camps -- let's see, was it the Jews, or the Catholics, or the Republicans ... oh, wait, they haven't come for anyone!! Nor will they. And when they do, I'll be there with the first of them making sure it doesn't happen.

But if it's you, TP, they could haul off the "typical blacks", the communists, the Muslims, the socialists, the homosexuals, the union members, the OWS protestors, and many other groups. And you wouldn't say a word. Not one. Because you're a bigoted hypocrit, not a civil libertarian by a long shot. You'd have been cheering der Feuhrer on.

under the guise of taking care of the needy, righting wrongs of the past, and so-called fairness, barry (the babbling liar and puppet master of a generation), has taken the fight for our liberty to our faces, under our noses, its blatent and unabashed.

this article gets it:

"Most of what President Obama does and says, in fact, is calculated deception, based on fooling the little guy into supporting Democrat authoritarianism, or worse, in a second term, with calculation as to what that little guy doesn't and won't know, and what a party controlled media won't tell him."

And, the article acurately foretells what we all can anticipate....

"So President Obama doesn't care about what the law says. By the time the legal system catches up with him, he will be reelected, he figures. And maybe by then he will have appointed more fellow Marxists to the Supreme Court, who don't care about what the law says either."

but the article's commentary does not go far enough and misses the mark:

"If you think that increased government spending, deficits, and debt are the key to economic growth and prosperity, then this is the party for you. That is explicitly its economic policy, as crazy as that sounds. Democrats call it Keynesian economics. If you don't agree that increased government spending, deficits, and debt promote economic growth, then you shouldn't be voting for, contributing to, and supporting Democrats, and you shouldn't let your friends do so either."

in truth, the democratic machine does not care what you think; it is not fighting for independents (idiots without a moral compass, who cannot get out out of the middle of the road, and who have to make a crotch check to remember which restroom to use)

the democratic machine is pandering to a class of dependent sheep, it is enslaving the lower class so they have no other choice save waiting in the handout line, ....

please sir, can i have some more....

Excellent article. O and company indeed have big plans for America. They are using this country as a test bed to see if communism can actually be made to work. This is their lifelong dream. And even if it doesn’t, hey, they’re still in power; Mr. Ferrara is quite right about Obama wanting to be president-for-life. But the fruition of that ambition might not have to wait until 2016. Watch for Obama and his minions to try to steal the election in several states. O and the dems could care less that this would rip the door off the hinges of American society. They are priming themselves for it. Just look at the Bamster. He appears too relaxed and confident these days when instead he should be staring into the abyss of a blow-out election defeat in November. Something is in the works my friends and it probably entails a lot more than your typical election year voter fraud by Democrats.

An Old Blog Entry of Mine:

Much has been made of the eerie similarities between the policies and actions of the Obama administration and many of the tennants and tactics contained in Saul Alinsky's Rules for Radicals. While it is true that this book is widely considered to be the NewLeftist Constitution by those who were forged in the crucible of the KGB funded & supported "anti-war movement" of the 60's and 70's, I choose to view it (Rules) thorugh a different prism. The prism of history.

Throughout history, there have been innovators, immitators, and practicioners of various political ideologies. No more so is this true than in the ideologies of the left. From Marx straight through the years to Kim Jong Il, Communist China, and Hugo Chavez, leftists have ceased to be innovators. The left has had no such innovators since the days in Europe when Communism gave rise to spinoffs such as National Socialism & facism (Jonah Goldberg describes the differences between Communism & National Socialism/facsim as "the difference between Coke & Pepsi). From the end of those days, the rest of the world's leftists were forever relegated to the ranks of mere immitators & practicioners. Marx laid the foundation, Lenin, Hitler, Stalin, Mao, and, to a lesser extent, Fidel, perfected an already existing plan, as history has shown. While other leftist regimes may have killed more, or just as many people, none of the rest had the lasting historical & geopolitical impact that the aforementioned did.

It is easy for one to overlook Lenin in the discussions of Communism. Stalin, Mao, & even Castro were well known for the cold brutality of their repressive regimes. It was Lenin, however, who brought & SOLD the Communist revolutionary ideal to the people of Russia by instituting the very same kind of class warfare Alinsky promotes in Rules. The inherent difference between Lenin's words and why they worked on a grand scale and the not-so-grand scale of the success of Alinsky's teachings are simple. The US is not now, nor has it ever been, as pitiful a place as was Russia under the Tsars. Lenin Played on this abjectly miserable populace to seal his power.

Apart from the Rules, we should look deeper into their foundations. More so than Alinsky, Lenin's words, old though they are, seem to be more of a clear and ruthless blueprint for the achievement of a "worker's paradise." The similarity of some of his statements to today's current events is striking. Here are ten quotes from Lenin, followed by my take on them.

1. "Destroy the family, you destroy the country."

This can go in a number of directions. To me, the ones that came to mind are abortion, gay marriage, and the welfare state promoting the existence of absentee fathers.

2. "I don't care what becomes of Russia. To hell with it. All this is only the road to a World Revolution."

This can be seen in a few ways. The aloof, patrician manner in which our "representatives" disregard the will and denegrate the voices of their justifiably irate constituencies. This, along with this administration's Strangelove-esque fascination with the Cloward-Piven Strategy ( http://www.americanthinker.com.....ategy.html & http://www.americanthinker.com.....nment.html) & all things UN... well, go figure after you read these links.

3. "The surest way to destroy a nation is to debuach the currency."

Given the amount of deficit spending generated by this administration (more debt than ALL other Presidents COMBINED), the running of the money presses 24/7, and the Chinese growing impatient with us over our spending, our currency isn't being "debauched." If prefer the term "ravaged."

4. "A system of licensing and registration is the perfect device to deny gun ownership to the bourgeoisie."

5. "Only an armed people can be the real bulwark of popular liberty."

I put these two together for a reason. As to the validity of number four, well, see for yourself. That method is everywhere. Number five is obviously the reason for number four.

6. "While the State exists, there can be no freedom. When there is freedom, there can be no State."

I chose this particular quote to follow the previous two for a reason as well. Lenin knew that if reason prevailed in Russia, he and his ilk were likely to become an endangered species. Further, he knew that for the State to continue as he, and Marx before him foresaw, there must be no recourse for the individual to retake power from the State. This quote also gives vast insight as to the placement of liberty, in any form, by true leftist believers.

7. "The way to crush the bourgeoisie is between the millstones of taxation and inflation."

Again, we all know the dollar may well reach Weimar Germany status. Now, just last week, Obama announced the creation of a "bi-partisan commission" to discuss the feasibility of raising taxes? Pretty self explanitory.

8. "It would be the greatest mistake, certainly, to think that concessions mean peace. Nothing of the kind. Concessions are nothing but a new form of war."

This would be how leftists define "bi-partisanship." The more one side conceeds, the more the other side will want. This is legislative warfare by getting the one side to appease the other's whims. By so conceeding, the one side can totally debunk the protestations of the other, for those opposing have already compromised their principles to begin with. It's all downhill from there. As a counterpoint to Lenin & an explanation of this method, I offer this:

"If he yields it from fear, it is for the purpose of avoiding a war, and he will rarely escape from that; for he to whom he has from cowardice conceeded the one thing will not be satisfied, but will want to take other things from him, and his arrogance is increased as his esteem for the Prince is lessened."...Machiavelli, The Discourses

9. "Give me four years to teach the children and the seed I have sown will never be uprooted."

Public education anyone? Lest we forget, good Obama buddy, former terrorist, and mild mannered college English professor Bill Ayers TRAINS TEACHERS and WRITES CURRICULUM!!! See all the songs by elementary school kids to the "Dear Leader" during the '08 campaign.

10. "The bourgeoisie is many times stronger than we. To give it the weapon of freedom of the press is to ease the enemy's cause, to help the class enemy. We do not desire to end in suicide, so we will not do this."

This is also self-explanatory to anyone with eyes and ears. From attempts to revive the "Fairness Doctrine," to the Goebbels-esque comments of Obama's new FCC "Diversity Tsar," Mark Lloyd, to the erstwhile "War on Fox," this tactic is being wielded in increasingly furious fashion these days. This is also true of the feelings of Obama's recently defeated NLRB nominee, Craig Becker and key Obama fundraiser & confidant, SEIU president Andy Stern. Both of these men are HUGE proponents of one of the most antithetical ideas to ever challenge the sanctity of free speech, known as "Card Check," also known as forced unionization without benefit of secret ballot.

As Patton famouly said, "Rommell, you magnificent bastard, I read your book!" There are numerous books that one can read to understand the Obama mindeset. From his own books, to those of Alinsky, Ayers, & the teachings of Rev. Wrong & Rashid Khalidi, we can see how Obama views the world. While Alinsky is more well known & had a better revisionist historical whitewash, it was Lenin who put the ideals & the tennants of Marx into play with ruthless cunning and efficiency. The basis for Alinsky's screed is far more terrifying than the screed itself.

* Lenin quotes from Liberty-Tree.ca

"How do you tell a communist? Well, it's someone who reads Marx and Lenin. And how do you tell an anti-communist? It's someone who understands Marx and Lenin."...Ronald Reagan

DC| 1.18.12 @ 2:05PM

Well done sir. Fascism (of the original, Mussolinian style) is what we have now, and as both Mussolini and Lenin (contemporaries) both recognized--in mutual admiration--their virulent ideologies were close cousins. The only real differences were nationalism and the nominal recognition of private property...but these were just bus stops on the straight road from Fascism to the more truly revolutionary Leninist version of communism. So the RCVs and Alan Brookses of the world, who are auditioning for the (many available) Chief Officer of the Reeducation Camp positions in Obama's future Socialist States of America may ignore the facts of the past (which you document well), the stated intent of the architects of present-day America (redistribution of wealth, confiscation of property or over-regulation and thus enslavement of all nominally private activity to the government yoke), and the centuries' old vision of all of the foregoing of the utopian future (See Mark Levin's new book)--it won't go away because they wish (RCV) or fear (Brooks) that is isn't so.
It will go away when the SSA is excised like the festering tumor it is by what's left of the actual United States of America (let's call it the Constitutional States of America--CSA--just to piss off the yankee leftists), or when enough of the SSA Reeducation Officer wannabes are killed by citizens like Texican, etc., and me, and my boys, and my wife (a pretty good shot, by the way), and millions like us, who refuse to be slaves. Prepare or die quickly and dishonorably--there's really no choice left.

Con, let's assume you're right. Consider this: -Divorce rates are falling
-The weimer levels of inflation you predicted didn't happen (inflation has remained low, actually)
-America is the most well armed nation on earth, and Obama hasn't done anything to limit your right to bear arms (you can even bring your gun into national parks now)
-the US dollar is higher now vs the Euro and the Pound than it was when Obama took office
-Taxes on almost all Americans are lower now than when Obama took office
-public education has existed in America since the moment of its founding. I'm not even sure what you're talking about here.

Assuming Obama is a Leninist, he's a pretty bad one. I'm not sure what you're so afraid of.

Con Chef (NB) | 1.18.12 @ 3:04PM

"Didn't happen."

Yeah? Not YET.

As for guns, it was a general overview of the leftist ideals of gun control, which the Dear Leader subscribes to & which his voting record in the IL Senate bears out.

"Taxes on almost all Americans are lower now than when Obama took office"

Show some proof of that assertion. And we can thank Repubs for gaining the House in the mid terms for stopping many of those tax hikes.

"public education has existed in America since the moment of its founding. I'm not even sure what you're talking about here."

Public education left in the hands of localities, NOT the Federal Gov't. When was the Dept. of Ed. founded again?

ALL socialists are Lenninsts to some degree or another. It ALL leads down the same road. Try though you may to deny it, I have history on my side to back up that assertion.

DRed| 1.18.12 @ 3:43PM

I don't know when the department of education was founded because wikipedia is down, but I'm fairly confident that it wasn't during the Obama administration. Specifically, what has the Obama administration done to spread Leninism in our public schools?

What all leads down the same road? Can you give me the historical examples you have? Are you saying that any socialist policies lead inevitably to a soviet style dictatorship? Because the history of Western Europe would put the lie to that, for one.

http://www.taxfoundation.org/taxdata/show/151.html

There's federal income tax rates. They haven't gone up under Obama. In the stimulus bill there was the Making Work Pay tax credit, which resulted in lower taxes for most Americans.

http://www.irs.gov/newsroom/ar.....47,00.html

Recently, we had the payroll tax cut. They haven't been big tax cuts, it's true, but Obama is certainly doing a poor job of crushing the middle class between the millstones of taxation and inflation.

Con Chef (NB) | 1.18.12 @ 4:28PM

The Dept. of Ed. was formed under Jimmuh Cah-tuh.

"Specifically, what has the Obama administration done to spread Leninism in our public schools?"

Its not just Obama. Its been this way for YEARS. However, the little documentary called "The Evolution of Stuff," produced by a Soros front group, has been widely distributed in schools since Obama's election. You think that's coincidence?

"Are you saying that any socialist policies lead inevitably to a soviet style dictatorship? Because the history of Western Europe would put the lie to that, for one."

They lead to ruin. Have you seen the economy? Do you know about their "hate speech" laws in that glorious representation of "working socialism?" How many rights does the individual have in making decisions on their health care? Is the right to bear arms listed as an inherent individual right by any of those nations? How well are the people of Europe served by the unaccountable EU?

"There's federal income tax rates. They haven't gone up under Obama. In the stimulus bill there was the Making Work Pay tax credit, which resulted in lower taxes for most Americans."

Wow. What's that? About $24 a month. Gee, THANKS Dear Leader! And since we keep printing & borrowing more money, when the hell do you think the bottom will fall out? And please define "middle class." The "middle class" has taken it in the pooper with the rise of gas prices, thanks to the Dear Leader's energy policy. When gas went up that much under Bush, you folks were screaming bloody murder.

All aspects of socialism lead to aspects of Leninism/Marxism/statism.

DRed| 1.18.12 @ 4:42PM

Hey, I said it was a small decrease. You said he was a Leninist crushing the middle class with excessive taxation.

Con, as to Europe, I prefer to live in America. I think we've got it better over here. However, not one country in western Europe is a soviet style dictatorship. Many of them are less socialist (some radically less so) than they were, say, 20 years ago. Your slippery slope argument is false.

There are taxes in Obamacare, full listing at the link, I've highlighted the one that hits many families - "Flexible Spending Account Cap – aka “Special Needs Kids Tax”($13 bil/Jan 2013): Imposes cap on FSAs of $2500 (now unlimited). Indexed to inflation after 2013. There is one group of FSA owners for whom this new cap will be particularly cruel and onerous: parents of special needs children. There are thousands of families with special needs children in theUnited States, and many of them use FSAs to pay for special needs education. Tuition rates at one leading school that teaches special needs children in Washington, D.C.(National Child Research Center) can easily exceed $14,000 per year. Under tax rules, FSA dollars can be used to pay for this type of special needs education."

And in the two month payroll tax extension, there's this little gem to fund it -
"As part of the temporary extension of the payroll tax cut, negotiators tacked an unusual provision that raises fees on the majority of conventional mortgages — those originated for sale to or guarantee by Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac. Starting in April, Fannie and Freddie will impose a surtax on the guarantee fees they charge private lenders equal to one-tenth of 1 percent. Lenders are virtually certain to pass those fees to consumers in the form of a higher note rate or loan charges up front. Industry estimates suggest the surtax could add an eighth of a percentage point to rates and raise costs to borrowers over the life of the loan by more than $4,000 on a $200,000 mortgage.

Unlike standard guarantee fees, which are used by Fannie and Freddie to defray loan-default expenses, the new funds will be sent directly to the Treasury to help pay for the $36 billion cost of the temporary payroll tax cut. FHA loans also will be hit with a fee increase by the payroll bill, raising the annual premiums it charges new borrowers by one-tenth of a point."
http://bostonherald.com/busine.....t_vanishes

Oh, and the taxes in the Stimulus bill, such as the Spectrum Tax is passed on to consumers, it's in your cell phone bill. There are more ways to hit Americans besides income taxes, Obama / Pelosi and Reid are masters at that...

DRed, thanks for the reliable idiocy, obfuscation, and ignorance.
Starting from the bottom, as is appropriate for the excrement you spewed:
--Public education has not, since the founding of the nation, been wholly owned and controlled by unionized moron-bots of one party. Recall the well-known statement of the AFT's chief, to the effect of "I'll starting caring about the children when they start paying union dues." Public education used to be a matter of local control and concern, it hasn't been for most of the last two generations, and, not coincidentally, has produced largely uncompetitive, indoctrinated (with your preferred ideology), America-hating clods during that time. That's what we're talking about.
--Taxes on "almost all" Americans are lower..would be nice to see a citation for that bit of chicanery. And what about on Jan 1, 2013, when the Bushitler tax cuts expire? And what about state taxes in your preferred coastal elite states? And what about the not-so-hidden regulatory burden taxes (just ask Boeing)? Sorry, we're not all as stupid as you'd like us to be.
--US dollar higher, really? In the kingdom of the blind, the one-eyed man is king, that's right--congratulations. The debased euro and pound are the dying currencies of dying nations. And relatively speaking, the dollar is better off, though it is, like the euro, a fiat currency tied to no real assets except those the Chicomms would proffer as collateral. Only aggressive ignorance could yield such a statement. Oh, and tying in your Weimar (check your spelling, please) comment, how do you think $15T of debt is going to be paid off? I guess I have to work a few more hours a week so my income and taxes can increase, right? Wrong--confiscate all of the profits of the Fortune 500, and all of its officers, and you get not even a small dent in that debt. The only ways out are: 1) strong economic growth, which is not possible under socialism; or 2) printing money. You can't repeal or ignore the laws of economics, even if your Dear Leader ignores all other laws.
--And finally, re armed Americans. Oh yes, especially in Tennessee, by the way, we're armed to the teeth DESPITE, not because of Pol Potobama. He's said repeatedly that he's just biding his time. He and Holder tried to gin up border state hostility to gun dealers, killed some Americans and a lot of Mexicans in the process, and now are covering all that up--but the sentiment is relentlessly anti-gun, and if he's re-elected, he'll start implementing the UN Small Arms Treaty, Constitution be damned. So don't try to smooth feathers, you a-hole. Con and I know what kinds of people we're dealing with, and your laughably ignorant babble isn't working, any more than "I'm for sportsmen's rights" crap vomiting from the Liar in Chief.
When, not if, his Praetorian federal pukes come for you--don't come running to your armed neighbors for help.

DRed| 1.18.12 @ 3:58PM

Trust me, I live in that state and in order to even take my boys hunting I had to take them to a hunter safety course (good idea), get them hunting license (still fine) and then also get them a Firearm Owners Identification Card (FOID). You can't even buy ammo without it. That I have a problem with. Why should I have to register with the state that I own a firearm if the 2nd ammendment gives me the right to begin with?

DRed| 1.18.12 @ 4:56PM

I know Obama was pro-gun control as a senator, and back when he was in Illinois. I'm not going to sit her and try to tell you he's a champion of gun ownership. But you have to admit he hasn't done anything as President to limit your right to own guns. (despite, you know, being a dictator like Hitler) I think he's realized that the issue is a political loser.

Con Chef (NB) | 1.18.12 @ 7:06PM

Gimme a break. The ENTIRE premise of Operation Fast & Furious was nothing more than an attempt to gin up violence on the Mexican border with guns from this country to give "creedence" to MaoBama's, Butch Napolitano's & the Mexican president's patently FALSE assertion that "90% of the guns used in crimes on the border come from US gun shops."

What's a dead border patrol agent? A small price to pay to be able to backdoor the 2nd Amendment, which MaoBama & his ilk LOATHE. The agents who were the whistleblowers? Sent off to "punishment tours" (as they're called in the military). And then you have Obama saying during an interview that Holder didn't know anything about the operation a whole THREE MONTHS BEFORE Holder claimed he'd never even heard of it.

High crimes & misdemeanours. Mmm, mmm, mmm!

Con Chef (NB) | 1.18.12 @ 2:57PM

Thank you for your kind compliments as well!

Ken (Old Texican) | 1.18.12 @ 12:52PM

davelnaf,
sadly you may be mistaken. Obama and crew have BOUGHT the election...unless true Americans get off their butts and vote...."No Obama".

Pat D| 1.18.12 @ 1:25PM

Great article but why the snide swipes at Sarah Palin? Have you actually read anything she's written? Try this takedown of Obamacare:

http://www.facebook.com/notes/.....3315368434

Or this speech that put Crony Capitalism into the election discourse:

emo| 1.18.12 @ 5:16PM

I blame Sarah Palin as a main reason the GOP has such poor candidates.

Palin's hemming and hawing about jumping in resulted in:
1. Other candidates holding back and not announcing (possibly, I cant be 100% certain)
2. Keeping on the sidelines thousands of volunteers and organizers who could have supported Santorum but waited until Palin made her decision (of this I am certain)

This is why we have both bad candidates and poorly organized candidates.

Thanks, You Betcha Sarah!!!

Indy| 1.18.12 @ 10:29PM

There are other reasons stronger candidates did not run, I think they simply did not want to put their family through the ugliness of the Chicago Machine and the Leftist Media, for example, Mitch Daniels opted not to run and Mike Pence decided to run for governor instead of President. Still others may know the economic situation is so bad, they did not want to run at this time and get blamed?

Pat D| 1.19.12 @ 2:25PM

A bunch did jump in before her announcement. She likely bailed for family reasons. I suspect it was a late decision because she sure looked like she was running with her Indianola speech. I don't think Palin supporters are enamored of Santorum. He might be socially conservative, but he is Democrat -lite in his economic policies. His pride in his earmarks demonstrate that. Heck, he even voted for the "Bridge to Nowhere".

Ron Paul's Hypocracy:

In the SC debate, Ron Paul decried American Judicial System and Black suffrage.
He has become the father of black liberation theology. He's "talking black" and trashing America. He's a liar. Since SC has a large number of black voters, he was just trying to get their endorsements. Ron Paul miserably failed, and is pathetic. I do not trust him any more.
There is nothing wrong with the American Judicial Sytem. It's fair and balanced. It rewards redemption and hard work. Blacks don't believe in justice and liberty, they seek big government and freebies. They consider themselves the victims, and treats Whites to be the agressor. This is a "pious balony." Here are the facts: Majority of blacks are uneducated and unemployed, and live on welfare and poverty, and committ 90% of all crimes. Blacks are incarcartaed in a higher number than Whites, logically. Also, 2/3 of blacks being incarcarated are repeated offenders, and they are threats to our community.
In my humble opinion, it's just politics. The truth is that poverty does not stir crime, it's lack of education and moral character that prompts violence. Majority of blacks are lazy and seek food-stamps, instead of paychecks.
GOP must expel Ron Paul, and he can join NAACP.

RCV| 1.18.12 @ 3:22PM

The GOP ought to expel racists like you

When teh USA becomes socialist, it wont look like idylic Sweden. It will be like Venezuela. Obama minion stormtroopers will be out in enforcing the dear leader and savior's wishes and persecuting all those who question HIM. OF course when there are no conservatives left to question HIM, the minions will turn on each other.

emo| 1.18.12 @ 5:27PM

Predictions if Obama wins and the Dems take the House and sold the Senate, Harry Reid WILL repeal the filibuster. The pressure to do so will be extreme coming from the Moveon.org types.

Then the following will pass
Amnesty 12 million new leftist voters
VAT 10%
Income tax increase 45-50% rate
Cap and Trade
Public Option in Obamacare
Card Check
Repeal of Right to Work provison in Taft Hartley
Brady 2
Felon voting rights

"Those who contribute to, vote for, or otherwise support today's Democrat party need to catch up to the curve. These are not your father's Democrats. George McGovern would be a moderate in this party."

Actually, George McGovern would also be considered a moderate in the Republican Party in this day and age.

Picture this... John F. Kennedy in 2012 stating what he stated in 1960: "Ask not what your country can do for you, but what you could do for your country."

By today's standards, this statement would be construed as a bunch of right-wing "non-compassion" or "hate-speech" from Republicans.

One can only imagine the confusion that JFK would experience if he were to be resurrected today to observe what his former party stands for.

The Democrat party would expel him for being a "closet" Republican.

Strange, no?

Brian Richard Allen | 1.19.12 @ 6:36PM

.... Picture this: the mobbed-up drug-addicted satyriasis-suffering, Kennedy, in 2012, reading what he read in 1960: "Ask not what your country can do for you -- but what you could do for your country."

.... By today's standards, this statement would be construed as a bunch of right-wing "non-compassion" or "hate-speech" from Republicans ....

Close but no Christmas Box.

Little-capo Kennedy was reading a speech about government.

And but called it "country."

Jeff Perren| 1.19.12 @ 2:03PM

He gave us fair warning of his intentions:

http://www.newsday.com/news/na.....-1.3287261
"'It is the belief of this administration ... that we can't wait for action on the Hill,' Obama said from the Oval Office as he signed an executive order that calls on the FDA to work with the Justice Department to determine whether there's been price gouging or stockpiling of medication. 'We've got to go ahead and move forward.'"

He will continue in this vein until impeached or voted out. Expect more.

Jeff Perren| 1.19.12 @ 2:21PM

"The first time Cordray's Bureau tries to enforce a regulation or fine against a bank, the action will be declared null and void because of Cordray's illegal appointment, with the entire agency struck down as unconstitutional."

It's past time to make Barack Obama's reign null and void; the man belongs in jail.

Brian Richard Allen | 1.19.12 @ 6:28PM

.... I would be tempted to call Buraq Hussayn Obama a liar. But I am not in such a generous mood ....

Nor would I be tempted to call him a "president."

Where is America's Pinochet now that we heed him?
If Pinochet was on the ballot against Obama, I'd vote for Pinochet.

Jeff Perren| 1.20.12 @ 6:37PM

Unfortunately, he's in the Oval Office.

Jett Davis| 1.19.12 @ 10:30PM

Liberalism is dead. It died in 1968 at the Democratic National Convention in Chicago. It also died because it achieved all of its goals (civil rights, abortion, et. al.). What we're are left with now—and the only option open for the Democrats since then—is New Left, creeping, incremental Fabian Socialism utilizing the techniques of the Italian Marxist Antonio Gramsci as the playbook. To say this is not pejorative, simply factual. Barack Obama is a mid-1980s college of liberal arts student of Marxism who is in love with and attempting to implement the writings of Fanon, Berger, Mulvey, and all the other "structuralists" who dominate the reading lists of virtually all soft-discipline courses (sociology, humanities, english, etc.) at almost every four-year university on the planet. Again, this isn't a smear, just a reflection of reality. To the extent that the Obamanistas succeed, is how well they can seduce the middle class with mostly old school liberal rhetoric and economic inducements (see the Health Care Reform Act). No amount of faux liberal rhetoric, however, can change the fiscal reality that the top 10% of income earners already pay 70% of the taxes, 50% don't pay anything, and we're $15 trillion deep into being the next Greece. The truth is, socialists just like to keep the waters muddied with button-pushing emotional rhetoric that serves only to keep them in power and further their elitist, top-down, collectivist agenda.

rhortus| 1.19.12 @ 11:31PM

"Modern American Liberalism" IS Fabian Socialism.

Jeff Perren| 1.20.12 @ 6:36PM

Well said.

Becka James| 1.20.12 @ 7:01PM

What I find most amusing is that the black community in this country has suffered more under one term of an Obama presidency than that of all previous administrations since the 1920s. The so-called First Black President (That was what they called Clinton, by the way) has done nothing but demoralize and subjugate the black community for the past three years. He is the consummate liar, and those who follow him should have their photos posted on Wikipedia under the heading - Definition of Stupid.

Is this a parody? I am flabbergasted that someone who can write this many words, using good syntax, could hold essentially the same hostile, hate-warped beliefs about President Obama as a South Carolina cracker with a 6th grade education. The diabolical Marxist you describe does not exist, and to allege that he's left of McGovern (or Mondale or Humphrey) is just silly. I am a white, male Mississippian raised by a New Deal Democrat who fought in the Pacific as a U.S. Marine. Obama represents my moderately-liberal, Christian views and goals as well or better than anyone who has held his office in my lifetime. And my other favorite presidents, just in case you wonder, are Eisenhower and George H.W. Bush. The latter likes the President. I suspect the former would have as well.
