Campaign Crawlers

An All-American Miracle

Rick Santorum scores a historic triumph in Iowa.

JOHNSTON, Iowa — What Rick Santorum accomplished here Tuesday will be remembered as one of the most miraculous comebacks in American political history. Only two weeks ago, the former Pennsylvania senator was regarded as a “second-tier” candidate, so far down in the polls that none of his rivals for the Republican nomination viewed him as a serious contender. And in his moment of triumph, he did not hesitate to pay tribute to the faith that sustained him during his long and often discouraging campaign.

God has given us this great country to allow his people to be free,” Santorum told a jam-packed crowd. “I offer a public thanks to God.”

There were many others who deserved thanks for his success, among them a 24-year-old Iowa State University grad student named Jake Braunger who served as field director of the Santorum campaign in the Hawkeye State. But it was the candidate’s family who were praised by name during the senator’s victory speech. He began by quoting Christian writer C.S. Lewis, paying tribute to his wife Karen as his best friend, and spoke movingly of his grandfather, an Italian immigrant who came to America to escape Mussolini’s fascist regime. And Santorum thanked the voters of Iowa who, as of 1 a.m. local time, appeared to have given him a four-vote victory over former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney. The margin shifted a few minutes later, with reports that Romney had won by 14 votes — later amended to eight votes — but that late news came more than an hour after Santorum took the stage and praised the people of Iowa.

“You have taken the first step toward taking back this country,” Santorum told the crowd inside the conference center at the Stoney Creek Inn, crediting them with having the courage to lead the nation.

Santorum’s supporters celebrated on what was a night of brutal humiliation for two former front-runners. Former House Speaker Newt Gingrich finished a weak fourth place with 13 percent of the vote. Texas Gov. Rick Perry — whom I dubbed Iowa’s “Phantom Menace” in August — was embarrassed by a fifth-place finish. With just 10 percent of the vote, Perry surely had the highest dollar-per-vote ratio of any candidate in Iowa, having spent millions on TV ads in a desperate attempt to recapture the momentum lost by his stumbling performances in a series of fall debates. Perry said during his speech he would return to Texas to “reassess” whether he still has a “path forward” toward the nomination. Many observers expect Perry to quit the race.

Santorum collected more votes than Gingrich and Perry combined, an astonishing feat by a low-budget campaign that was plagued by single-digit poll numbers all year, until a sudden late-December surge that most of the pundits (and none of his Republican rivals) seemed to have anticipated. More than 120,000 voters in Iowa turned out to deliver a stunning defeat to the purveyors of conventional wisdom who never dreamt that Santorum would be a serious factor here.

The underdog’s victory destroyed one of the biggest arguments made against Santorum, namely the “electability” arguments offered by Republican pundits who had backed Perry or Gingrich as credible conservative alternatives to the more moderate Romney. How can it now be said that Santorum, having beaten both of those candidates, is not “electable”?

Santorum’s campaign manager, veteran New Hampshire operative Mike Biundo, found himself surrounded by reporters asking the new front-runner about their plans for New Hampshire, South Carolina, and beyond. In recent days, TV talking heads and other pundits — none of whom predicted Santorum’s come-from-nowhere surge — have repeatedly asserted that Santorum has little organizational strength in those states. But none of those pundits were standing outside the Stoney Creek Inn in the wee hours this morning when four members of Santorum’s South Carolina campaign — who had come to Iowa to lend a hand in the final few days here — laughed in anticipation of the Jan. 21 primary in the Palmetto State. Perry had made South Carolina his “firewall” state and if the Texan quits the race, one of the Carolinians boldly predicted, “We will win South Carolina.”

Of course, the former underdog candidate will first have to weather the intense scrutiny that has undone his predecessors as the “Anybody But Romney” candidate in the GOP field. The well-funded Romney campaign will likely unleash against Santorum the avalanche of TV attack ads that destroyed Gingrich’s chances in Iowa, but Biundo was confident that his candidate can withstand the onslaught, telling reporters, “Bring it on.”

It was nearly 1:30 a.m. when Santorum and his family finally left the private celebration upstairs at the Stoney Creek Inn. And on his way out the door, he summed up his miraculous campaign here: “Coolest race ever, huh?”

Iowa once again proved their irrelevance to the GOP narrative by giving Willard a win and Santorum the conservative mantel.
The conservative wing needs a thorough house-cleaning if all they can muster is the likes of Santorum as the least abhorrent character to hand their votes to.
With the real GOP campaign set to begin with this Saturday's debate without Bachmann, Perry and Cain imbueing the air with a sort of whimsy, and Newtie unplugged and unleashed, we will see the deceit and despair of the conservative movement laid bare in front of the dozen or so observers that will be watching outside of the politigeek fraternity we are inmates of.
I will await with relish the strident elevation of Newtie's rhetoric and Santorum's perverse equation of economic vitality with the government limiting a woman's control over her body and the pernicious sodomites sullying our foxholes and forward batteries.
With McCain endorsing Willard today, the fault line will be firmly established and another nominee will be cursed er christened by the fractured GOP.

I think Newt should stay in and fight against Romney. Santorum's victory (actually defeat) is a one time only thing. And Newt appears to be coming down from his "above it all" Olympian heights and is actually engaging in real campaigning now. If he does it successfully, he will be the one remembered for a near miraculous comeback.

Newt in 2012!

Patrick| 1.5.12 @ 3:52AM

Newt is a loathsome whore, and were it down to him and Obama, I would write my own name in.

Jack in Wi.| 1.4.12 @ 7:07AM

As I have been saying for weeks the party is hopelessly spit. We have the elites man Willard Romney. We have the bum of the month, Santorum, pushed by Limbaugh, Hannity, Lox snooze, Levin and the brain dead branches of the evangelicals, who listen to them.. Then we have the candidate of the libertarian and real conservative branches of the Party, Ron Paul. Well there is no putting this humpty dumpty back together again. Ron Paul has won already. No prowar, pro bankster Republican can come close to winning.

The anti war candidate will again be Barack Obama. He will claim to have ended the Iraq war. He will also be the guy got Bin Laden and will have most of the troops home from Afganistan for the election. As for the economy, he will do what Roosevelt did to get re-elected 3 times, blame it all on Wall Street, and the Republicans. Bernanke will have primed the pump as never before, and Obama will be easily re-elected.

It is getting intresting. The field is thinning. Santorum will soon be joining Bachman, Perry, Cain, and Gingrich on the ash heap of history. It has aways been between the forces for a return to limited constitutional government of Ron Paul and more of the same, more wars, more bailouts for the rich, more inflation and more final collapse.

Alan Brooks| 1.4.12 @ 7:11AM

"and Obama will be easily re-elected."

Thank God no more Rove-Cheney administrations! this November will kill it off forever.

Doorgunner| 1.4.12 @ 7:25AM

Paul lost. It's over. His influence is nil. Santorum won't sustain- he can't play on a national stage because social conservatism is an outlier proposition.

And Romney will beat Obama handily.

What are they going to do, run against Romneycare, an idea they stole and pushed nationally in a usurpation of states rights?

Are they going to run against his Wall St. ties when they took Wall St. campaign cash at a two to one rate... and them paid off the donors with bailouts?

Are.they going to paint him a warmomger when he wasn't in the federal government and Iraq and Afghanistan are in flames after Obama's capitulations?

Get real.

I hope that Santorum's done with the "I'll be tough on Iran", and focuses on the REAL ENEMY. If I was running his Campaign (and I should be) I would tell him that it's time to FOCUS, like a laser beam, on the Domestic Enemy, in the White House.

I would advise him to IGNORE the Massachusetts Liberal, and the Texas Weirdo.

Speaking of "Newsletter Ned", we've got ONE comment from Jack in Wi. standing on a chair with a Noose around his neck, and NOTHING from Clint. If anyone living in Clint's building could check on him? Maybe bring along a Cadaver Dog? We'd appreciate it.

Anyway. OBAMA. He is the Target. THAT'S RIGHT! I SAID IT! (Hat Tip Mark Levin) He's the Target. HE is the Domestic Enemy, everyones' Oath foretells. Gingrich is Toast. Perry will talk his way out of contention. Huntsman has "Barack Hussein Obama" on his Job Application, where it says: Previous Employer. And, Paul was in Texas, when he shoulda been in Iowa.
(Isn't that right, Jack?)

I would also advise that he put sock in it, when it comes to Illegal Immigration. Talking tough is for PUNKS. Just ask Rex Ryan. Speak Softly, and Carry a Big Stick, is the more appropriate way to go. You tell the world that "I believe people have to OBEY the Laws of the Land", even though the current President, believes otherwise. I see no need, or ADVANTAGE, in hiding behind the bushes at Romney's House, and counting the Mexicans that are mowing his lawn.

As far as the THING in the White House is concerned? That's easy: We have the lowest Consumer Confidence in 30 Years. We have had our Credit Rating downgraded, for the 1st time in our Nation's History. We are in the 34 straight Month of Unemployment above 8%. (REAL Unemployment is probably around 11%. You know. If you actually COUNT everyone who's unemployed. If they stop looking because there's nothing out there, they're still unemployed. Duh.)
Federal Spending, the Budget Deficit, and our National Debt, are all at the highest level as a percentage of GDP since WWII. Worst Jobs Record of any modern President. Worst Housing Crisis since the Great Depression. Misery Index at a 28 year high. 46 Million Americans now living in Poverty. The most on record since the Census began tracking Poverty in 1959. U.S. Poverty Rate is 1 in 6 Americans. Record Number of Americans on Food Stamps. The Rate of Economic Growth is only slightly higher than the 1930's. And, he thinks there's over 57 States.

Add to that: $784 BILLION Stimulus/Slush Fund, that was P*SSED AWAY on Fictional shovel Ready Infrastructure Jobs, that, instead, ended up in the hands of his Public Employee Union Civilian Army. Solyndra. The Company his BIG DONOR owns - Light Squared - that is thisclose to gettin permission to go on line, even though an Air Force General, and another High Ranking Official, testified before Congress that they were STRONG ARMED, by the White House, to change their testimony, concerning the Interference with Global Positioning Frequencies (Used by the Military) created by Light Squared's Technology.

You've got a NO BID Contract for another Big Obama Donor, to make Smallpox (I believe) Vaccines, that DON'T WORK, and have NO SHELF LIFE. Not enough? He gave Millions to Electric Car Companies in Italy, and Norway. (one of those idiot Norse Countries)

Did I mention GUN RUNNING to the Mexican Drug Cartels?

I've got a brown streak in my underwear, that could beat this guy. Surely, you're better than Brownie. (That's what I call him)

Oops. Sorry. Brownie is moving around, down there. With all of the SH*T on this MFer, he can't wait. Us Bitter Clingers? We like to call it: Shootin Ducks on a Pond. That's how easy it's gonna be. Even his Effeminate Media won't be able to save him, this time.

canuckistani| 1.4.12 @ 12:06PM

No they are going to embrace Romneycare. It';s a slam-dunk narrative of a practical politician running away from a positive record to appease the neanderthals in his party.
As for Iraq and Afghan, ask any American - it's a zero on the politcal radar and kryptonite to any candidate claiming we had any business being there in the first place. All they know is they have wounded vets in their families, a boatload of cash down the sewer and soldier's ashes thrown into the trash on Junior's watch.
No GOP candidate in the general will be stupid enough to equivocate on Iraq, and BHO got Bin Laden - the stated reason we went in there in the first place. Mission Accomplished.

They are going to paint him as spectacular flip-flopper and the least desirable candidate in the GOP since Nixon. It will stick because the candidate has never shown the ability to course-correct when facing a lucid opposition.

They are going to paint him as a money-grubbing Pol that has modified his positions on things so often that he not only cannot be trusted, but can no longer be counted on to provide a coherent strategic option for the wishy-washy independent.
Willard would be wise to moderate his platform soon after it is apparent he has the delegates for the nom. He must bury the Jesus freaks on the right by April or suffer the same fate as McCain and Dole before him. He needs the murky middle to propel him.

The press is eager to quote Santorum's social con comments, but the voters who listened to him realize he addresses secular issues effectively as well. But y'all keep ignoring that.

Doctor Right| 1.4.12 @ 7:40AM

Nothing kick-starts a day like Jack's delusional diatribes.

Hate to interrupt you while you hand-wash your brown shirts, Jack, but Ron Paul's chances of capturing the GOP nomination are effectively over. Once again, he's "3rd-place Paul."

Iowa was the last chance for the isolationist septuagenarian and his Jew-bashing followers, and he failed. Despite all the months of brain-dead predictions by folks like you and Clint, Paul could not muster enough votes in what was thought to be a bastion of Paul-bot-dom. In fact, he lost - again -to "Willard."

Paul has no chance in NH, and slim-to-none in SC. From there, his plan is to go 3rd-party to wreck the GOP's chances against Obama. He's NOT about country; he's about Ron Paul.

Meanwhile, where do you think Perry and Bachman's supporters will go if/when they drop-out? Romney? Ron Paul? No, Jack...they'll go to Santorum, and raise his percentage by about 12-15 points. Sanatorium will also pick up a decent amount of Gingrich supporters who will not support Romney on principle after Iowa. That leaves little Ronnie Paul and his jack-booted brigades with the same 16% he's always had.

Go ahead, Jack...call me Dr. Wrong, and then say something anti-Semitic...but deep, down inside, you know I'm right.

That's why I'm "Dr. Right."

This, American Spectator's Israel Firster Smear Bund Apocalyptic Crank Lady.

" Ronald Reagan On Defense Waste:

" During my 1980 campaign, I called federal waste and fraud a national scandal. We knew we could never rebuild America's strength without first controlling the exploding cost of defense programs, and we're doing it. When we took office in 1981, costs had been escalating at an annual rate of 14 percent. Then we began our reforms. And in the last two years, cost increases have fallen to less than 1 percent. We've made huge savings. Each F-18 fighter costs nearly $4 million less today than in 1981. One of our air-to-air missiles costs barely half as much.

Getting control of the defense bureaucracy is no small task. Each year the Defense Department signs hundreds of thousands of contracts. So yes, a horror story will sometimes turn up despite our best efforts. That's why we appointed the first Inspector General in the history of the Defense Department. And virtually every case of fraud or abuse has been uncovered by our Defense Department, our Inspector General. Secretary Weinberger should be praised, not pilloried, for cleaning the skeletons out of the closet. As for those few who have cheated taxpayers or have swindled our Armed Forces with faulty equipment, they are thieves stealing from the arsenal of democracy, and they will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law."

The Crippled Ruskie is my husband, whom Clint also hates, along with your pal here, Con Chef.

He is a staunch conservative Christian as am I.

Your pal has a bug up his rear end about the fact that I spoke my mind to him as he proceeded to insult and lie about me and what I am and in Whom I believe.

He has begun a phony war with me here, but his issue isn't really with me, it's with the Lord Jesus Christ, Whom I speak of and Whom he happens to reject, and said so openly.

He has to try and compare me with Clint~ because I speak out~ and yet he knows full well I am a staunch conservative, just do a search and read my posts, and also do a search and see your friends posts and mine to his and see that we are on the same page just about 100%.

As to Clint~ I have been taking him on here for almost 2 years, and a lot of it mostly alone, as a search will also find. I despise the man.

The attempts at phonies like your pal here to place him in the same category are for other reasons~ they can't stand my open stand on my belief in the Bible. This is what makes them so utterly disingenuous.

To not want me to speak openly about my faith here is one thing, but to try and make it look like I am not a Christian or a conservative because I stand on the Bible is another thing entirely.

As I said, Con-Che'f real issue is about the Lord he chooses to reject, and not really with me.

I'll continue being who I am here, and in the face of punks like Clint and Con-Chef who hurl lies and insults in my face.

I know who I am and in Whom I believe, too bad if they don't like it.

As a social conservative I'm happy to see Santorum do so well, but it is dubious his message will gain steam outside Iowa. Unlike cult leader Ron "Mullah Omar" Paul Santorum cannot count on Democrats and leftists funding his campaign or becoming "last minute Republicans" to vote for him.

In reality 76% or more of Iowans who attended the caucuses last night (that includes the Democrats and liberals who went to support Paul) voted NOT SANTORUM, NOT PAUL, NOT GINGRICH, NOT PERRY and NOT BACHMANN. Proof again the Iowa caucuses are a waste of time and resources. We need out Party's nominee to be selected in closed Republican primaries where only real Republicans vote and not "last minute Republican" Ron "Gov't Pork King" Paul cultists.

Wow, for the first time in months I did not wake up this morning with my jaw clenched.
It appears Mitt-Bob McRomney is toast. Same with the loony Ron Paul.
A wonderful thing happened last night in Iowa, something I did not suspect. Santorum is a joyful suprise, as his solid conservative bona fides as well as his admirable life style has finally paid off. A win for the good guys at last!!!
Kudos also to Newt who finally is acting like a senior statesman and is thinking beyond himself. It could have been you Newt, if only you had your appetites under control.
This just might be the moment conservatives take over the R party once and for all.
Say good-bye to Ron Paul, Trump, and any other egomanical idiot who plans on handing Obozo a second term.
Mark Levin is right; actions have consequences. Paul can continue his foolhardy quest and Trump can continue to mouth off, but if both don't toe the line, we need to slap these guys upside the head.
That means hitting Trump in the only area he truly cares about, his wallet. Boycotting his hotels, casinos and other establishments. That means sending a message to Ron Paul, that if you run 3rd party, it's time fore a new conservative senator from Kentucky.
Gee, maybe that light at the end of the tunnel isn't an oncoming train afterall.

irish19| 1.4.12 @ 11:21AM

I hope you're right, but remember the old saying about counting chickens.

RCV| 1.4.12 @ 11:30AM

Sorry, guy, but it's over for the conservatives, who messed up the best opportunity since Reagan to win this year. Perry and Bachman are out. Paul, who is not a conservative, is dead. Gingrich -- who gave the most ungracious losing speech in memory -- showed last night why nobody who worked with him in Congress supports him. Santorum ran a great retail campaign in Iowa, but after New Hampshire, retail politics won't count for much, and Santorum doesn't have the staying power. The only chance conservatives have is if they ALL united behind one candidate to challenge Romney, but that clearly won't happen. Newt's ego will get in the way. It will be interesting to see who Perry endorses -- does he go for influence in a Romney administration, or cast his lot with Santorum in an effort to stop Romney?

BTW, where is "Perry will win it all" bill this morning?

Drunken Sailor| 1.4.12 @ 1:55PM

Perry hasn't quite just yet. He is looking to at least S.C. Wonder who the Bachman supporters will turn to next?

RCV| 1.4.12 @ 2:32PM

Perry staying in guarantees a Romney win, because he and Gingrich and Santorum will continue to splinter the conservative vote through South Carolina.

darcy| 1.4.12 @ 11:57PM

As much as I disagree with you on almost everything, RCV, I do appreciate your insights. But I really don't know why any true conservative would give Gingrich a second glance -- not, anyway, if they were even somewhat informed; not, anyway, if they realized his serial marriages, global warming dalliances, and Freddie Mac derived income were legitimately disqualifying issues and, he, therefore, unworthy of their support.

But maybe since non-Democrat voters are desperate to rid the country of Obama, they'll accept anything/anyone.

What a nice position in which you find yourself: conservatives splintered, diluted, ineffectual.

You have the world by the tail.

RCV| 1.6.12 @ 1:07PM

I'm actually just genuinely perplexed about how conservative Republicans have let this unique opportunity of a year slip by them. It's clear that the majority of Republicans don't want Romney to be the nominee, but he will be, and only because conservatives have wasted six months shooting at each other and splitting their votes.

Paul Pot joined forces with Barney Frank on a proposal to gut national defence via a panel of experts, quite a few of whom were tied to George Soros. On the Paul-Frank Task Force, "9 out of 14 members were linked to Soros’s organs. Two were affiliated with the Cato Institute. One is indeterminate.

Ron Paul proposed to put a bunch of Soros-funded think tank experts in charge of dismantling the US military. Think about that for a moment. Ron Paul supporters can see conspiracies in a glass of water; can they see anything wrong with this picture? Can they see anything wrong with having a man from a group that was investigated for its Communist ties in the driver’s seat on national defense?

The task force’s proposals included cutting nuclear deterrence; reducing the fleet by 57 ships, including two carriers; canceling the Joint Strike Fighter; “severely curtail missile defense” — and that is a direct quote from the report — retiring four Marine battalions; reducing the military by 200,000 personnel; cutting defense research spending by 50 billion over ten years; and increasing health care fees for members of the military.

Not only did Paul join forces with Barney Frank to slash military preparedness, but he ended up putting the experts of a foreign billionaire with global ambitions in charge of the project. And that was what he did as a congressman. Can anyone imagine what he would do as president?"

Aaaand,

" Ronald Reagan On Defense Waste:

"Much of the waste in defense is directly attributable to the appropriations process. The vote delays on the MX missile and the suspension of the B-1 bomber cost this country billions of dollars--dollars that were lost forever as those systems that were set back had to be reprogrammed at higher cost.

"The report also calls for less micromanagement," he said. "Instead of scrutinizing every paper clip, bolt and bullet, Congress should give more thought to our overall defense needs and strategy."

The President particularly praised the commission's recommendation for five-year spending projections and two-year budget cycles for the Pentagon. "We are the only major country in the world that rewrites its defense budget every year," Reagan said.

"The waste that results is immense," he said. "No company in the private sector could survive if it couldn't plan for the future. The effect of funding programs this way is less defense and more cost."
Reagan appointed the commission, headed by former Deputy Defense Secretary David Packard, last June and asked it to propose reforms that would end "horror stories" about $600 toilet seat covers, $400 hammers and fierce interservice rivalries."

1) The United States should only get involved in conflicts abroad where there is a direct and imminent threat to the nation and its security.

2) The United States should stay out of civil wars.

3) If war is declared upon us, CRUSH, and I mean C-R-U-S-H, the enemy.

4) Fight to win or stay home.

5) The United States has an abysmal record of siding with despots and propping up tinpot dictators. Know your enemy, your "ally," recognise self-determination, and MYOB.

6) Unless the United States is under attack or imminent threat of attack, the President must get Congressional approval for all actions involving military operations abroad pursuant to Art. I, Sec. 8, Clause 11 and the War Powers Resolution Act.

7) When people want to kill each other, let them.

Congratulations to Rick Santorum, engineered a "come from behind victory," and became a "GOP front-runner" overnight. Only 8 votes seperated Romney and him.
Santorum needs to focus on NH, SC, and FL, and campaign hard those places in the coming weeks.
Romney's campaign is in chaos, he was set for a statistical ties with Santorum in IA.
Santorum needs to tout his fiscal policy in NH, and his stance on social issues in SC. FL is a tricky place, it's anyone's game over there.
In NH, Romney is the main threat, while Santorum has to tackle Perry and Gingrich in SC and FL, because they are both southerns. Romney will be a factor in SC and FL.

bill| 1.4.12 @ 10:49AM

In 2000, Bush won the IA Caucus and got the GOP nod. In 2008, McCain was in the 4th place and won the GOP nominee. That explains that Santorum, Gingrich, and Perry still have chance.
Santorum, Gingrich, and Perry, all three are viable contenders in SC and FL, Santorum ans Perry are social conservative while Gingrich is from the neighboring, GA. Romney will win NH but stumble in SC and FL, because he is no conservative. He'll lose the nomination to any of three: Santroum, Perry, or Gingrich.

RCV| 1.4.12 @ 1:47PM

Perry's decision to stay in after his disastrous showing is the best news Romney could have had. Any chance of conservatives coalescing around one candidate to defeat Romney is now doomed. And in fact he's acting EXACTLY like Clint in doing that.

Now, Con Artist Chef, why don't you grow up and be a real man?

It isn't really me you have an issue with, it's God.

ConChef,
Given your background, you may like this website www.elizabethbettina.com
Just finished her book "It Happened in Italy." let me know what you think.

You should know by now that if you disagree or have an issue with Margie you disagree with God. She speaks for God and Jesus, but she does not believe that Jesus is God. Got all that? Try to remember.

Margie| 1.4.12 @ 6:09PM

You are spiritually dead and have no clue as to what a Christian is.

You're a lying little twerp who rejects Christ.
Now, insult away, it is what Clint and the other lying Trolls here do, and you do the same in like manner.

Clint is not a Christian, he's a Catholic who worships the Pope and rejects the Bible.
You do the same, and place yourself with Him in God's Eyes.
I hope you repent.

W| 1.4.12 @ 6:24PM

I have a clue: Christians believe in the Trinity and that Jesus is God. You do not. Facts are not insults. Have you seen Clint worship the Pope? You have this obsession with the Pope, and everyone here has told you that nobody worships the Pope. Maybe you do not know the meaning of the word worship, but since it has been explained to you, you just chose to lie and lie to satisfy your obsessions.

Margie| 1.4.12 @ 6:32PM

W is a blatant and repeated liar.
Nothing more than an anti-christ Troll, who cares nothing for the truth as it is written in the Bible.
Catholics believe the teachings of the Vatican and the ungodly Popes, which are not in agreement with the Words of God as written in the Bible.
They ADD to His Words, and one such thing is the teaching of the Trinity, which is NOT in the Bible.

Christians believe every Word of God, as written in the Bible.

"Every word of God proves true; He is a Shield to those who take refuge in Him.
Do not add to His Words, lest He rebuke you, and you be found a liar." Prov. 30:5 & 6.

That is Who I take refuge in. I choose not to add to His Words, as they are written, you choose to.

We all do what we are destined to do.

W| 1.4.12 @ 7:28PM

Mullah Margie,

Same old, same old drivel.

What is the lie:

Do you believe in the Trinity? You have said no.

Do you believe that Jesus is God? No. You have said no.

As pointed out by many others, you interpret the Bible like the Arianists and Jehovah's Witnesses. That is your business.

But you are not a Christian and certainly not qualified in any sense to pass judgment on who is a Christian, and what is the Word of God.

Everybody who disagrees with you is a liar, blatant liar, punk, papist, willl burn in hell, etc.

As homosexual Army soldier Bradley Manning’s treason trial continues at Fort Meade, Maryland, the support he has received from Republican presidential candidate Ron Paul has been curiously ignored by the major media, now touting Paul as someone who could win the January 3 Iowa Republican Caucuses. Paul has called Manning, a crossdresser with acknowledged mental problems, a “hero” and “patriot” for stealing government secrets and providing them to WikiLeaks.

Manning, who served as an intelligence analyst in Iraq, is charged with one of the most spectacular and damaging leaks of classified information in this country’s history. The death penalty has been strangely ruled out in his case, but he could still face life in prison.

Admiral Mike Mullen, former Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, said the “irresponsible posting of stolen classified documents by WikiLeaks puts lives at risk and gives adversaries valuable information.”

The Ron Paul 2012 website shows a young Ron Paul in a military uniform and as someone who would pursue a “pro-America foreign policy.” It says, “As an Air Force veteran, Ron Paul believes national defense is the single most important responsibility the Constitution entrusts to the federal government.”

It says nothing about the Congressman’s support for accused Army traitor Bradley Manning.

However, speaking at a campaign rally, Paul said that while Manning may have “technically” broken the law against releasing classified information to WikiLeaks, he did so for the purpose of exposing the “horrible things” being carried out by the U.S. Government.
Referring to Manning’s detention before trial, Paul said, “Should he be locked up and imprisoned?” Manning should be seen as a “political hero” and “true patriot who reveals what’s going on,” Paul said.

The Bradley Manning Support Network published an article saying that Paul believes that Manning is a “whistleblower” and his actions “are essential to the country.”

There is no evidence that Manning, who flaunted his homosexuality in the Army, in violation of the “Don’t ask, Don’t tell” policy, was a member of a communist or leftist group. But his supporters come predominantly from the far-left. His backers include the Movement for a Democratic Society, a group of former Weather Underground members and radicals that includes Obama associate and terrorist Bill Ayers.

The Advisory Board of the Bradley Manning Support Network includes Robert Meeropol, whose parents, communists Ethel and Julius Rosenberg, were convicted of violating the Espionage Act and executed for giving the secret of the atomic bomb to the Soviet Union. Meeropol says “it is an honor to join a Board that includes Medea Benjamin of Code Pink, as well as Daniel Ellsberg of Pentagon Papers fame, and filmmaker Michael Moore, among others, but also because I believe it is imperative for as many people as possible to raise their voices in support of Manning.”

On October 28, speaking in Iowa, Paul praised WikiLeaks for providing secret information about the conduct of the U.S. wars in Afghanistan and Iraq. The Moscow-funded Russia Today (RT) propaganda channel features a Paul speech in which the Congressman offered “his support to whistleblowers, applauding WikiLeaks in particular for exposing political fallacies.”

In another broadcast, Paul attacked “state secrecy” and praised WikiLeaks for revealing “spying and meddling” by the U.S. Government.

yet it was the Army and Navy(marines) who did the drafting and NOT the Air Force.

Paul was married. and yet Kenndey had ordered that all married men be put at the bottom of the draft list. paul was also a doctor, which order of Kennedy put him at the bottom of the list again.

so that was TWO reasons why paul would have been at the BOTTOM of the draft lists.

so how could paul receive a draft notice when he was at the bottom and only months away from becoming 28?

He compared Ronald Reagan to Stalin. Then, he wrote this:

" I want to totally disassociate myself from the policies that have given us unprecedented deficits, massive monetary inflation, indiscriminate military spending, an irrational and unconstitutional foreign policy, zooming foreign aid, the exaltation of international banking, and the attack on our personal liberties and privacy.

After years of trying to work through the Republican Party both in and out of government, I have reluctantly concluded that my efforts must be carried on outside the Republican Party. Republicans know that the Democratic agenda is dangerous to our political and economic health. Yet, in the past six years Republicans have expanded its worst aspects and called them our own. The Republican Party has not reduced the size of government.

It has become big government's best friend.

If Ronald Reagan couldn't or wouldn't balance the budget, which Republican leader on the horizon can we possibly expect to do so? There is no credibility left for the Republican Party as a force to reduce the size of government. That is the message of the Reagan years."

1. Paul Pot was right, but you are wrong trying to throw Reagan around as some sort of endorsement. Reagan would NOT endorse Paul Pot today.

2. For someone, who throws the word "traitor" around a lot, I notice that you never say anything about Paul's abandonment of the GOP in the 1980s, then his sheepish return after he got his ass kicked and when he needed the Republican money-and-organisational machine to get and stay elected.

Ron Paul’s “Tea Party” money bomb meets goal

Ron Paul (R-TX), a candidate for the Republican presidential nomination, ended his “Tea Party” money bomb Sunday at midnight. Mr. Paul succeeded in meeting his fundraising goal of $4 million. The Paul campaign plans on using the grassroots donations for additional campaign activities in Iowa, New Hampshire and South Carolina. With the donation ticker still climbing, Mr. Paul has raised more than $4,048,000 as of 9am EDT Monday.

Ron Paul 2012 Campaign Manager John Tate urged supporters to contribute Sunday.

“The more resources we have, the more undecided voters in Iowa and New Hampshire we can contact through email, mail and TV to spread Dr. Paul’s message of liberty and free markets that has him skyrocketing in the polls in the early states,” Mr. Tate wrote.

“The establishment knows Ron Paul is the one candidate who is serious about cutting spending, standing up against assaults on our liberties, restoring sound money, and fighting for a return to constitutional government,” Mr. Tate added.

I'm saying, get it out of the hands of the executive branch. Just listen again about what I have said about the TARP funds. We needed to earmark every penny. Now we gave them $350 billion, no earmarks, and nobody knows..."

Two Highway Patrol Officers were conducting speeding enforcement on I-15, just north of Oceanside,
San Diego , California ..

One of the officers was using a hand held radar device to check speeding vehicles approaching the
crest of a hill. The officers were suddenly surprised when the radar gun began reading 300 miles per
hour and climbing.
The officer attempted to reset the radar gun, but it would not reset and then it suddenly turned off.

Just then a deafening roar over the treetops revealed that the radar had in fact locked on to
a USMC F/A-18 Hornet which was engaged in a low flying exercise near this, it's home base
location.

Back at the California Highway Patrol Headquarters the Patrol Captain fired off a complaint
to the US Marine Corps. Base Commander for shutting down his equipment.

The reply came back in true USMC style: 'Thank you for your letter.
You may be interested to know that the tactical computer in the Hornet had detected the
presence of, and subsequently locked on to, your hostile radar equipment and automatically
sent a jamming signal back to it, which is why it shut down.

Furthermore, an Air-to-Ground missile aboard the fully armed aircraft had also automatically
locked on to your equipment location .

Fortunately, the Marine Pilot flying the Hornet recognized the situation for what it was, quickly
responded to the missile system alert status and was able to override the automated defense
system before the missile was launched to destroy the hostile radar position.

The pilot suggests you cover your mouths when cussing at them, since the video systems on
these jets are very high tech. Sergeant Johnson, the officer holding the radar gun, should
get his dentist to check his left rear molar. It appears the filling is loose. Also, the snap is
broken on his holster.'

A Paul presidency in 1940 would have meant a war with Germany, but not Japan. However, a President Paul in 1917 would not have encouraged U.S. entry into that conflagration. If he was successful, there would have been no need for any declaration of war against Germany, as there would have been no Adolph Hitler and his Nazis in charge. He would have been, instead, an unknown house painter. With a President Paul at the helm, there would have been no holocaust; no 50 million people perishing during this war; no dropping of atomic bombs on innocent civilians, women and children, to our eternal shame.

Nonsense.

First of all, a President Paul would never have foisted an oil embargo on Japan. So, there would have been no attack on Pearl Harbor, and no fighting with the Japanese military would have been necessary. This consideration alone means that hundreds of thousands of innocent people would not have perished. And, also, it would not have been the case that the U.S. would have been the only country in history to have actually used atomic weapons. (Is it not a bit hypocritical for the U.S. to object to Iran having a nuclear weapon on this ground alone?)
bwahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha

thats right! paul would NEVER FIGHT OUR ENEMIES! he would pull an ovomit and TALK with them and APOLOGIZE

'If she thinks we live in a dangerous world, she ought to think back when I was drafted in the 1962 with nuclear missiles in Cuba. And Kennedy calls Khrushchev and talks to them, and talks them out of this so we don’t have a nuclear exchange.

- Ron Paul, Sioux City Republican Presidential Debate

" Dr. Ron Paul served in the United States Air Force as a flight surgeon for several years (1963-1965). While in the air force, Paul reached the rank of Captain. Directly after his service in the air force, Paul worked again as a flight surgeon for the United States Air National Guard (1965-1968).

Hmmmm....the Cuban Missile Crisis was in 1962 and Paul Pot said during the debate in Iowa that he had been drafted in 1962, but his campaign website says that he served in the USAF between 1963 and 1965 then the Texas Air National Guard between 1965 and 1968.

I guess he was a draftee sitting on an imaginary ship in 1962 when Kennedy made that imaginary phone call to Khrushchev to talk him back from the precipice.

Allah, I hate when that happens!

" On Iran, The President should:

1.) Explain to the American people that Iran is no threat to the United States unless we or Israel attack it first, and then it would be a serious threat to U.S. access to energy and would likely stage terrorist operations in the continental United States. [The last thanks to 30-years of federal immigration policies that leave us without knowledge of who is in the country or what they are capable of doing.]

2.) Publicly state that there will be no U.S. surprise attack on Iran, and no U.S. attack at all on Iran unless the president asks for a formal declaration of war and the Congress votes its approval in a constitutional manner.

3.) Call in Israel's ambassador to the United States and tell him that we understand that Israel believes Iran is a threat to its survival, and that we agree that Israel has every right to defend itself. If Israel believes it must go to war with Iran, then so be it. But also tell the ambassador that if Israel attacks Iran, the U.S. administration will declare U.S. neutrality in the war and immediately cut off military and financial support to all combatants in the war.

4.) Speak to the American people and tell them to expect to be brutally propagandized by U.S. citizen Israel-Firsters through AIPAC, their ubiquitous media shills, and the men and women they own in the U.S. Congress and federal bureaucracy. Urge Americans to ignore this effort by U.S. Israel-Firsters to get them to send their soldier-children to fight in a religious war in which the U.S. has no genuine national interest at stake, and in which U.S. participation would further bankrupt the country, require the reintroduction of conscription, and put America at war with all of the Muslim world -- Shia and Sunni -- for the foreseeable future."

MS| 1.4.12 @ 4:14PM

"God has given us this great country to allow his people to be free," Santorum told a jam-packed crowd. "I offer a public thanks to God."

Sorry, but is he joking? By what standard does this remain a free country? Presidential assassinations and elimination of the ancient right of habeas corpus and due process; overturning of the fourth, fifth, sixth, seventh, eighth, ninth and tenth amendments; income taxation; counterfeit money; imperial wars; eradication of our civil liberties; a blatantly illegal presidency by a non-natural born Citizen; the unstoppable force of the military industrial complex. What nonsense.

If you believe we live in a free country, I'd suggest you find a doctor to reverse your proctal-cranial inversion. Lenin was right: "Give me four years to teach the children and the seed I have sown will never be uprooted."

Excuse me, if you'd like to directly address the deconstruction of our Constitution by "conservatives" like Rick Santorum who voted for bigger and bigger government during the "conservative" Bush adminsitration instead of making blind assumptions about me I'd be glad to engage in discussion. Your comment is nonsense, but I don't expect anything better from someone who could support a warmongering Neanderthal like Rick Santorum.

Margie| 1.4.12 @ 6:13PM

Right. To you asinine Paul-bots, conservatives are "War-mongers."

And to liars, Mary is the Mother of God, and the Pope saves.

Now: You aren't worth "discussing" anything with.
You care nothing for the truth and deserve only my comment to your BS.

MS| 1.4.12 @ 7:30PM

That's because Santorum's big government, Constitution-destroying record is indefensible. And you know it. Or, you actually think the PATRIOT Act nullifying the fourth amendment is constitutional, that paper money is legal, and the government has the authority to pass a prescription drug bill. If so, we're in deeper trouble than I thought.

I don't think all conservatives are warmongers. Russell Kirk wasn't a warmonger. Taft wasn't a warmonger. Coolidge wasn't a warmonger. Even Bill Buckley admitted Iraq was a terrible mistake. The problem is that you and people like you don't understand what REAL conservatism is.

Sorry I called you out and was a bit impolite. However, your Trotsky brand of "conservatism" is the reason we're being led into the jaws of a Nazi police state. Thanks for that!

MS| 1.4.12 @ 7:33PM

It should also be pointed out that your hero keeps championing his "welfare reform" bill passed under Clinton. He neglects to point out that his crown jewel legislative achievement was overturned by Obama, tucked into the filthy bowels of his stimulus bill. Oh well.

Margie| 1.4.12 @ 8:25PM

MS~ apology accepted, but then you go on to call me a Trotskyite, and blame me for the "Nazi state". LOL!
And Santorum isn't my hero, I have only one Hero, and is the Lord Jesus Christ.

There is just this chasm between conservatives and Paul followers, and it's just impossible for the twain to meet.

Why? Because you have been sold one bill of goods and you bought it, hook, line and sinker.

And like the Pope worshippers~ Paul's word is gospel. Only it isn't the true Gospel.

It's based on lies and utter deception. You're a prime example of a Paul follower who actually BELIEVES that conservatives like me are the HERETICS of the country, in the same exact way that Catholics are taught that Bible believing Christians are heretics to Christendom.

The gospel of Paul spouts exactly what you spout, which is the exact opposite of the truth.

We aren't war mongers or traitors to conservatism, or Trotskyites, but this is what you've been taught.

And anyone who doesn't march lock-step to your well ordered cult is "the enemy."

And there's no teaching you otherwise, and no talking to you. You can't be convinced otherwise.

And so, I pray that you turn to the Lord of Lords and King of Kings who died in your place for your sins, and that He opens your spiritual eyes so that you can "see" His Kingdom as in John 3:3.

Because until He convinces you Himself by His Spirit, you are going to go on believing that the conservatives who are actually on the side of truth.. are your sworn enemies!

Margie| 1.4.12 @ 4:20PM

Congrats to Rick Santorum, and as I said, this will help to ignite a little hope into the race, and confidence for Rick.

Well done!

The Democrats have nothing but Obama, the unrepentant Socialist, while we have Santorum, who nobody thought could win and they probably still think it, Newt, Perry, and Bachmann. Even Romney is far more preferable than the unrepentant Socialist.

Christians believe every Word of God that's written in the entire Bible.

Catholicism (with which you have your phony beef with as to me speaking out about), does NOT believe the Words written therein, and its teachings are contrary to the Bible's.

You wouldn't know that, nor apparently do you care, so that makes you not only a liar, because you falsely accuse me, but a hypocrite as well.

You have the freedom to curse me and insult me nd falsely accuse me, and I have the freedom to stand on the Words of God, as they are written in the Bible, to prove the false teachings of any Religion that isn't in agreement with them.

that's what Christians do, it's what I will always do, and your screaming filthy Clint-like false accusations won't stop me.

You do not speak for Christians.

You take the facts as insults but they are still facts, got that Mullah? No go play with your snakes.

Margie| 1.4.12 @ 8:42PM

The liar, my friend the Papist~ is YOU!

You believe the Pope and the teachings of the Vatican, and not the Words of God as written in the Bible.

That's your choice and lot in life.
But it isn't the Gospel, and I am no liar.

Margie| 1.4.12 @ 8:52PM

p.s. Christ mocker, "W":

CHRISTIANS ARE OBSESSED WITH THE TRUTH. If you aren't, you're not a Christian:

"He who does not love Me does not keep My Words; and the Word which you hear is not Mine but the Father's Who sent Me." Jn. 14:24.

The above is the STANDARD for all Christians.

Where are His Words found? In the Bible.

They are NOT found at the Vatican.

The Vatican and the Popes falsely teach that Mary is the Mother of God, and pray to her and it teaches she was without SIN and like Christ, another intercessor.

It is a lie, and NOT what the Gospel of Jesus Christ teaches.

You do not care about this "W", and like all good Papists, seek to try and destroy any Christian who speaks the Biblical truth.

And the Biblical truth is that JESUS is the ONLY Mediator between God and Man:

"For there is one God, and there is one Mediator between God and men, the Man Christ Jesus, who gave Himself as a ransom for all, the testimony to which was borne at the proper time." 1 Tim. 2:5 & 6.

NOW: Troll "W", hater of Christ and His Gospel: you can follow another gospel if you please, but you as a follower of another gospel have no right OR authority to judge Christians who believe HIS GOSPEL as it is written in the Bible!

W| 1.4.12 @ 8:56PM

MullahMargie,
I don't hate Jesus Christ, who is God, or the Bible. You on the other hand do not believe that Jesus is God or in the Trinity which are the two basic tenets of Christianity. And as you have mentioned nobody here supports your view. Why do you think that? A rational person would say I may be wrong, but a delusional person would say they are all afraid, and I am the only one who knows the truth. Correct, Mullah?

Margie| 1.4.12 @ 9:03PM

"You on the other hand do not believe that Jesus is God or in the Trinity."

Since the "Trinity" is not in the Bible, nor was it ever taught by the Apostles, or by Christ Himself, I reject the teaching.

The teaching, as I've said repeatedly (but you always accuse me of never speaking to, like a good lying Papist), was brought in by some people who thought it up, not the Apostles~ and it is a Catholic teaching, not a Christian one, because it seeks to place Mary as "Mother of God".

Without this teaching, Mary as Mother of God couldn't be done!

The Bible speaks of no such teaching, but that Mary was only the physical Mother of the physical Christ.

You KNOW that I believe in God and in Christ, and that the Holy Spirit is from God, as my posts here have ALWAYS stood on Scripture.

Yet you seek to LIE repeatedly concerning me~ saying I do not believe.

This places you in danger of Hell, because that's where God sees fit to send them. Rev. 21:8.

W| 1.4.12 @ 9:07PM

MullahMargie,
You believe in whatever it is you believe, but it is not Christianity. Again, who cares, except that your presume to judge and lecture us on Christianity.

Margie| 1.4.12 @ 9:14PM

And you are a bereft of the truth liar, as the Bible IS God's Truth as it contains His Own Words and it is what I take my stand on.

Now you can keep up your lying all you want but you already know where God sends liars, do you not?

W| 1.4.12 @ 10:36PM

MullahMargie

There you go again,Mullah, you decide what is the truth and what God wants and consign people to hell. If you really believe God judges then let God judge, and we don't need you to judge.
You are identical to the Iraian mullahs judging what Allah means and wants. Face the facts.
You are not the judge of the Bible.

Margie| 1.18.12 @ 10:52PM

Liar. I don't decide what truth is, Jesus is the Truth, and they are HIS WOTDS which I quote, and you trash.

Margie| 1.4.12 @ 6:23PM

p.s. I don't hate Catholics, I hate the false and unbiblical teachings.

It's a distinction that liars refuse to make.
And in fact, the real haters are the ones railing against the Bible believing Christians who dare to speak up about them.

W| 1.4.12 @ 9:03PM

MullahMargie

Nobody is raliling against Bible believing Christians. Another of you lies and delusions.

It is hilarious that you say "...dare to speak up about them." It is you who starts a fight every day with different persons by posting your drivel. At the mere mention of the word Catholic or Religion you pop up like Pavlov's dog to rant about the Pope, Mary, and whatever.

You are the one that provokes every fight here every day because you are delusional, paranoid, and obsessive.

Get some therapy and a life.
If you don't want to get therapy then go play with your snakes. You are a tiresome bore.

Margie| 1.4.12 @ 9:12PM

Your taunts of "delusional" and "Mullah" and "you're no Christian!" are not railings against Bible believing Christians?

Yes, they are and they are constant.

I provoke a fight because it is people like you who happen to reject the Bible~ and you are offended by one who quotes it here.

And yet I will not go away or shut my mouth because I love the Word of God and will defend it TRUTH whenever I see fit to, as you will always see fit to trash me when I do.

Liar.

W| 1.4.12 @ 10:43PM

Mullah Margie,
Those are not taunts but descriptions of you and nobody else, and certainly not descriptions of Christians.

I don't reject the Bible.

I reject your opinions and interpretations, as most rational people do. As you said, how many people here support your zany views?

And as long as you post your daily drivel, I and I am sure others, will reply.

But it is always you, who has no life, that starts these fights, and as long as you do, I will point out that you are not a Christian, but a delusional, paranoid, obsessive bigot and liar. Got that Mullah?

Margie| 1.18.12 @ 10:51PM

You certainly DO reject the Bible, liar.

RCV| 1.4.12 @ 8:03PM

I'd almost be tempted to vote for Santorum just wo we caould have a Papal Visit to the White House and the President weekly attending Catholic services on television, having cardinals and bishops over for consults, etc. What would Margie think of that? Santorum isn't just a Catholic. He's a militant Catholic - the guy personally responsible for converting Sam Brownback from a "bible-believing Christian evangelical" to a Roman Catholic while they served together in Congress. Just think what he could do for the Mother Church if in office!

Margie| 1.4.12 @ 8:41PM

Each person is led either to the Gospel of Jesus Christ, or to a different gospel.
And Catholicism isn't the Gospel of Jesus Christ, nor is it the "Mother church".

The Bible tells us exactly who is the Christ's Church, and it has nothing to do with a building, nor with Popes (there are none in the Bible).

The Church of Christ is the Body of believers that believe the Gospel that is written in the Bible, who have given their lives to Him, and OBEY His Words, rejecting all other teachings that are contrary.

The Bible says how we are saved and come into an actual relationship with Christ, and it has NOTHING to do with Catholicism, and is in fact utterly contrary to it.

Catholicism teaches Salvation by works.
God's Words tell us in the Bible that we are saved by Grace through our faith in Christ Jesus.

Catholicism teaches that Mary was sinless like Christ and place her as "Mother of God, over a "Trinity", and places her as in "intercessor" between God and Man in the same way that Christ is.

They actually pray to her!

This is NOT in the Bible, as Mary was a sinner like the rest of Mankind.

But each one does as he is destined to do.

Either believe the true Gospel of God, as it is written in the Bible (God's Own Words)~ or believe a different gospel.

"But even if we, or an angel from heaven, should preach to you a gospel contrary to that which we preached to you, let him be accursed.

As we have said before, so now I say again, If any one is preaching to you a gospel contrary to that which you received, let him be accursed.

Am I now seeking the favor of men, or of God? Or am I trying to please men? If I were still pleasing men, I should not be a servant of Christ." Gal. 1:8-10.

I'm with Paul.

Margie| 1.4.12 @ 8:41PM

That is, the Apostle Paul, not Ron Paul!!

W| 1.4.12 @ 8:53PM

Margie,
Have your ever read anything about Arianism? Read it. It is your comments.

Margie| 1.4.12 @ 8:57PM

W,

I believe every Word of God~ as written in the Bible.

I believe that the Words of God are in the Bible, and that as it is written, the men who wrote those Words were appointed by God to do so.

Margie| 1.4.12 @ 9:53PM

Arianism teaches that Jesus did not always exist.
So no, I am not that, though you will try and label me a heretic as that is what Pope worshippers are wont to do.

As I said, I believe ALL that is written in the Bible. And Catholicism is NOT is agreement with it.

The Bible says this, which I have believed for almost 40 years now, about Jesus' Diety:

"May you be strengthened with all power, according to His Glorious Might, for all endurance and patience with joy, giving thanks to the Father, Who has qualified us to share in the inheritance of the saints in light.

He has delivered us from the dominion of darkness and transferred us to the Kingdom of his Beloved Son, in Whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins.

He is the Image of the Invisible God, the first-born of all Creation; for in Him all things were created, in Heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or principalities or authorities--all things were created through Him and for Him.

He is before all things, and in Him all things hold together.
He is the head of the body, the church; He is the Beginning, the first-born from the dead, that in everything He might be pre-eminent.

For in Him all the fulness of God was pleased to dwell, and through Him to reconcile to Himself all things, whether on Earth or in Heaven, making peace by the Blood of His Cross." Col. 1:15-20.

Now: unless you are prepared to call that Arianism, that is what I believe.

And I've said this before and yet you continue to lie about it.

You can keep it up, but you're the one who's making a BIG MISTAKE in so doing.

Do YOU believe what these Words of God say?
If you don't, YOU are no Christian.

And Catholicism does NOT teach the above. It teaches that Mary is another Christ, another intercessor, a sinless woman and "Mother of God", the "Trintiy."

Again: there is NO such teaching in the Bible, and since there is no such teaching, I reject it and take my stand on the above very Words of GOD.

IF that's OK with you, Papist!

W| 1.4.12 @ 10:45PM

Catholicism wasn't around at the time of Paul the Apostle.
You haven't read your history at all, have you?

The Religion, Catholicism was created by a bunch of heretics who left the Gospel of Jesus Christ to follow another, and thus the false teachings began:

Margie,

"You haven't read your history at all, have you?"

Pot calling kettle. Is this the same Martyrs Mirror that praises great Catholic saints like Ignatius of Antioch and Irenaeus of Lyon? Oh, and Origen?

Catholic saints like Ignatius, Polycarp, Papias, and Clement of Rome were taught directly by the Apostles Peter, John, and Paul. These saints went on to teach future Catholic saints like Irenaeus and Justin Martyr.

Who could possibly think that they could know better than someone who was taught by the Apostles?

"Bear one another's burdens, and so fulfil the law of Christ. For if any one thinks he is something, when he is nothing, he deceives himself." - Gal. 6:2-3

Romney likely maxed out at the top of his ceiling. The anti-Romney vote % is anyone who did not vote for him. I think he hits this ceiling of about 25% in any state except the NE or Utah/Idaho - Mormon country.

He will fight all the way but Santorum and Perry will fight for many primaries until one of those 2 comes out ahead and that remains to be seen.

Paul will stay in too but will not win any primary. I think he's likely to be a 3rd party candidate in November. I think Gingrich will continue to fade and drop out after Super Tuesday.

I think that whoever wins out between Santorum-Perry will be the one to go head-to-head against Romney. With Romney's 25% ceiling in most states, either Santorum or Perry can win the nomination.

Nick| 1.4.12 @ 7:02PM

I can't believe liberals aren't having hissy-fits over Rick Santorum comparing President Downgrade to Mussolini last night, in his victory speech.

They're usually so thin-skinned about such things, ya' know?

RCV| 1.4.12 @ 7:48PM

Nah, it was actually a pretty decent speech. If you can't stand oratorical overflourishes, you shouldn't be in politics. Santorum was just giving the GOP version of Joe Biden's "my grandfather was a coal miner" speech. It's standard political fare in America.

I really expected MS-LSD to have wall-to-wall coverage of this "extremist smear," as they might have put it. Like they did with the Arizona shooting-spree, last year.

When I clicked over to MS-LSD after the speech, I expected to see Chris Matth-spews' head exploding, with drool and spittle pelting the other panelists.

Have you liberals mellowed-out? Since that Hopey-Changey thing ain't workin' out to good for you guys? Ha-ha!

We've always been the mellow ones, Nick! And the hopey-changey thing takes time: it will really kick in in the second term. You know, gay marriages performed right in the White House; all your Republican grandmothers denied essential operations under socialized medicine; Eid declared a national holiday. Santorum will be fleeing back to his gram pa's native Italy just to escape American Fascism.

Happy New Year, Nick.

RCV,

Noooooooooooooooooo!

Happy New Year to you, also.
God Bless!
