Confronting Injustice

In his new book, available today, J. Christian Adams chronicles lawlessness in the Obama machine.

I believe the day the New Black Panthers ensnared me was Wednesday, May 27, 2009. Thanks to J. Christian Adams, the Panthers may yet ensnare Barack Obama — in a much more devastating way.

It was at lunch that day (unless it was the day before) that sources told me the Justice Department had dropped most of the charges in the civil rights, voter-intimidation case against several Panthers and against their party as a whole. I returned, on fire with the news, to the office of the Washington Times, which I served as a senior editorial writer. (As it turned out, fellow editorial writer John Lott had the story as well, as did Jerry Seper on the news side, working entirely independently. The superb Michelle Malkin ran with the story online the next day; for various reasons, the WashTimes held its in-depth reporting on it until Friday, May 29.) I didn’t know it then, but it would be the first of several dozen Panther-related editorials I would work on during the next 22 months.

What kept me coming back were two things. First, from almost the very start the issue was far bigger than a single polling-place incident: The larger issue was that this case clearly appeared emblematic of a horrible, indefensible policy of the Obama/Holder Justice Department to the effect that civil rights laws would only be used to protect minorities against whites, never the other way around. This isn’t equal justice under the law; it’s using the law to “get even” for ancient injustices. It’s “law” of the two-wrongs-do-equal-a-[civil]-right variety — which, of course, is actually neither lawful nor just. Indeed, it is an abomination.

Second, I kept coming back because new facts — not opinions, but facts — kept coming, in a steady stream, in forms both accessible and incontrovertible. The facts backed up the growing narrative that the Obamites formed a thoroughly racialist cadre (not racist but racialist — look up the difference) at the Justice Department, and that their actions again and again were and are driven not by the law but by raw, left-wing politics. And, though I would not even hear the name of, much less talk to, much less meet, Christian Adams for well over a month after that first Panther story, and while other sources aplenty would emerge in the meantime, it turned out that, once he could finally talk a year later, the best facts always came from Adams — the man most directly responsible for bringing, and winning, the Panther case, until the Obamites nixed it. Moreover, I can think of not a single instance in which Adams gave me info he said was definite which he could not back up with documents, the testimony of others, or other original source material. Rarely have I had a source so valuable, so reliable, and so full of integrity.

This is a man completely dedicated to color-blind justice, deeply disdainful of white racists, deeply empathetic to black victims of racism — and utterly determined to implement the law without fear or favor.

But now J. Christian Adams has outdone himself. As of today, his new Regnery Publishing book, Injustice: Exposing the Racial agenda of the Obama Justice Department, is available at bookstores. Even apart from some new photographs of Obama in close proximity to New Black Panthers, what I’ve read of the book already (I’m only halfway through) is explosive almost beyond belief. Adams names names, and dates, and places. He describes events in vivid prose. And he repeatedly makes an impassioned case that all of us should expect better justice than the law-trampling leftism of the Obamites that he describes in chilling detail.

Adams makes clear that the real dispute began three years before the Panther case, when he and a multi-award-winning civil rights lawyer named Christopher Coates — later a whistleblower against the Holder team — went to Noxubee County, Mississippi, to investigate and battle some of the worst vote fraud imaginable. The difference was that this time the violators were black, led by a virulently racist and corrupt Democratic official named Ike Brown, while the victims were both black and white — all of them defrauded of their ability to vote for any white candidate for any office under the Noxubee County sun.

Liberal attorneys at the Justice Department’s Civil Rights Division repeatedly and deliberately ignored, downplayed, belittled, and fought against the very idea of stopping Ike Brown from his blatant civil rights violations. What Adams does, in mind-blowing detail, is show just how blatant, how despicable, how flagrant, and how gob-smackingly lawless those violations were. Semi-casual observers of the Adams chronicles during the Black Panther aftermath were aware that Justice Department officials were loath to bring a case against a black perpetrator in Mississippi — but what Adams makes clear is that this wasn’t just any case about just any technical violations. Instead, Ike Brown operated a virtual reign of terror in Noxubee, one from which no lawyer could possibly look away without violating their lawful duties and forfeiting all principles of normative ethics and any basic moral sense.

Please buy this book and read it for yourself. Its effect on your brain might feel like getting hit with a night-stick wielded by a black-clad thug who thinks the way to treat whites is to “kill some of they babies.” What it also should do is make you seethe in anger at the president who appoints and promotes people who could possibly want to implement such racialist policies. Indeed, someone might even have to “act stupidly” to continue desiring the Oval Office presence of such a racialist-enabling lout.

None of it will matter anymore. Because the nation is no longer white, native born, (thanks to endless immigration), the political power that white, native born Americans have has been greatly diminished. I venture to say, most foreign born are just a little bit in favor of "getting whitey", i.e., redistributing the wealth of middle class America, which historically has been, white native born Americans.

USSAlabama| 10.4.11 @ 9:41AM

btims -- this is one point I think most miss.

Although I didn't read it Pat Buchanan wrote a book about how white influence would cease to exist in the US.

I do not have one immigrant in my heritage. All came from Jamestown and the Cherokee Nation. All here before the US existed as a country. Fought in the Revolution, in the Civil War and every war.

My fathers shed their blood for what we got -- it is hard to see us lose it. Heartbreaking.

PAUL| 10.4.11 @ 7:06AM

Bad news Quin, the retards in this country that make up more than 50% of the electorate that voted for the Muslim Socialist do not care: Rashid Khalidi, the good Rev. Jeremiah Wright, Jr., Bill (just some guy in the hood) Ayres, Bernardine Dohrn; Malik Zulu Shabazz; Louis Farrakhan Muhammad.

Imagine the list of his friends that are terrorists, America haters and anti-Semites that we don't know about.

P. Arthurson| 10.4.11 @ 7:33AM

The point is, Obama has fooled everyone by an accident of colour and birth. He looks like a black
American - you know, like Clarence Thomas and Thomas S0well. At his inuguration I think many hoped he would be like that. But in fact there is no American culture in his background. I don't dispute he was born in the US, but he is African, not by birth but by culture - his immediate ancestry is African and he thinks like an African leader, wherever he was born (The Duke of Wellington was born in Ireland but you would not call him an Irishman). Law is for him what the Big Man says. The purpose of politics in this culture is to reward your friends and clan and punish your enemies. He is Africanising American politics - fast.

Pecos Pete| 10.4.11 @ 8:52AM

"The purpose of politics in this culture is to reward your friends and clan and punish your enemies. "

Well said!

russel| 10.4.11 @ 10:26AM

Agree and why I'm still boiling he wasn't vetted as so demanded in the Constitution . Our Founders were well aware that ' favors ' would exist if someone other than a native born would assume the high office . Allegiances and preferences are bound to exist amongst humans , and no question , on a nuclear level with politicians who weild so much power . They were so right ; look at what we got .

The Bishop| 10.4.11 @ 9:14AM

Outstanding observations.

Trinacria| 10.4.11 @ 1:45PM

For the record, I emphatically reject the notion that this marginally witted, disgraceful community rabble rouser fooled me. I saw him for what he was (or, perhaps more appropriately, wasn't) from the first day he trotted out his vacuous and simple minded "hope and change" bullshit. Indeed, who among the readers of this site didn't look upon his absolute lack of any notable experience or achievement and conclude that he was a woefully underwhelming and unqualified candidate?

As Limbaugh rightfully pointed out, he's the least accomplished person in any room he enters. That's not difficult for regular folks to figure out; indeed, they did figure it out. The problem is that there are too few of us left; the rest are either on the public dole or blinded by the pernicious ideology that purports to favor a "color blind" world and, in pursuit of this seemingly noble goal, advocates the election of an otherwise unqualified individual solely on the basis of his color. To be clear, it has nothing to do with fooling anyone - he's not that smart.

RJ| 10.5.11 @ 3:20AM

Let's "get even with Whitey!" How about creating some new "bond slaves" for America? Just what does a "neo-Marxist" look like? Remember when Mom said "never buy a book by it's cover?"

What is a malignant narcissist? Is a "feminized" male a "metro-sexual" or what? Why does Sarah Palin scare so many?

Michael Tomlinson| 10.4.11 @ 7:35AM

Andrew Breitbart has scooped the mainstream media showing Obama appearing on stage with members of the New Black Panther Party and leader Malik Shabazz, during his presidential campaign in 2007.

"Among those appearing with Obama was Shabazz, the Panther leader who was one of the defendants in the voter intimidation case that Attorney General Eric Holder dismissed. Also present was the Panthers’ “Minister of War,” Najee Muhammed, who had called for murdering Dekalb County, Georgia, police officers with AK-47s and then mocking their widows.

Injustice includes a disturbing photo of Shabazz and the Panthers marching behind Obama with raised fists in the “Black Power” salute."

If Herman Cain is so worried about racism he should be going after Barrack Obama and his ties to this virulent racist hate group.

USSAlabama| 10.4.11 @ 9:36AM

Maybe Herman is saving it for his debate with Obama.

erp| 10.4.11 @ 9:56AM

Obama will never debate Cain or any of the other Republicans.

MM| 10.4.11 @ 10:30AM

USS is referring to a debate between nominee and incumbent.

loulou| 10.4.11 @ 10:19AM

Herman needs some major coaching if he couldn't even respond appropriately to a stupid question from the shebeast. His inexperience showed in that episode.

Intelligent Design| 10.4.11 @ 7:48AM

Speaking of crime and justice, Holder and Obama are directly responsible for the death of Border Patrol Agent Brian Terry. Their "Operation Fast and Furious" was specifically designed to have guns from the U.S. involved in Mexican drug violence, and thereby gain political cover for more gun control in the U.S., to further infringe upon our Second Amendment rights.

Timothy L. Pennell| 10.4.11 @ 7:57AM

See? You're part of the problem, Quinn. Lilly Livered, Spineless, COWARD, afraid to say it, like it is.
He is a Racist! His Attorney general is a Racist! His 1st Mentor was a Racist. His second Mentor is a Racist. He went to Racist Rallies, put on by the Racist Louis Farrakhan. He started his Political Career, in the living room of a SELF HATING WHITE - Bill Ayers - who's Weather Underground believed that, the best thing they could do for the world, was to MURDER WHITE BABIES.
There's only one reason that these Black Panthers got a Get Outta Jail Free Card. And, it's not because of "The Content of their Character".
It's because they were "MY PEOPLE". And the White Cops were stupid.
They're not "Racialists". They're Racists.
Stop playing the game. Stop being afraid.
Stand up on your hind legs, like a MAN.
Every Black, in this Administration, is Racist. (as Mark Levin would say: That's right. I said it!) And every attack on this Economy, by the likes of that Broad at the Energy department, or at the EPA, is an attack on what they see as: White Corporate America.
And, for you to put Perfume on this TURD, is pathetic.

USSAlabama| 10.4.11 @ 9:35AM

Timothy, most blacks are racist.

loulou| 10.4.11 @ 10:20AM

Most, but not all.

Drunken Sailor| 10.4.11 @ 11:07AM

Easy USSAlabama and loulou, your robes are showing. The only difference between what your saying and the Black Panthers is saying is the color of the racist. Sure there are racist blacks. Just as there are racist of every color/nationality. But to paint with such a broad stroke only hurts your argument.

Timothy L. Pennell| 10.4.11 @ 11:12AM

All.
When push comes to shove, they are Black first, and everything else, second. They stick together. like nobody else. That's why they'll never get out of the Ghettos. Lemmings.
I'm not saying I don't like them. I'm just stating FACT.
I want to vote for Herman Cain. That is why I bring this whole "Racist" thing, up.
If he does it, again? He's finished.
Mark my words.

DRed| 10.4.11 @ 4:47PM

It takes an especially ignorant jackass to rant about how blacks will never get out of the ghetto in the comments to an article complaining about the black president and the black attorney general.

Timothy L. Pennell| 10.4.11 @ 6:07PM

Really? Tell us, then, why they are still in the ghetto? Why do they keep returning the SAME BLACK POLITICIANS, to Washington, time and again? Why did they put Marion Barry, back in to the Mayor's Office, as soon as he got out of prison. Why did they send Alcee Hastings to the House, right after he was IMPEACHED, and thrown off the Bench, for taking Bribes. Why is Conyers still there? Why is Jesse Jackson Jr. still there. How is it that every other group has passed them bye?
They will NEVER leave their Ghettos.

David in MA| 10.6.11 @ 2:25PM

Sounds like trick questions, but, i'll try to answer them. My answer to all is:
Because they are democratic socialists and the end justifies the means with a promise of being rewarded for taking the blame, so it's o.k..

David in MA| 10.6.11 @ 2:21PM

define racist.

Michael Tomlinson| 10.4.11 @ 8:31AM

Intelligent Design you're right about Obama and Holder's part in the Fast and Furious fiasco. We should extradite them both to Mexico to stand trial for murder (I don't trust an O.J. Simpson type jury to hold them accountable in the US).

Louis Jenkins| 10.4.11 @ 10:51AM

We can call it shameful that Obama marched with the New Black Panther's in 2007, but it makes sense from his perspective. Forget a Conservative marching with a white supremacy group, it won't flush. But allow him to march with the those people, oh well, it's okay. If Mr. Hillyer wrote about all of Obama's crimes he'd still be on the typewriter.

David in MA| 10.6.11 @ 2:27PM

There is nothing wrong with obozo marching with the black panthers......what is wrong is that the majority of the voters did not consider that when they voted.

Nancy in NC| 10.4.11 @ 10:54AM

For the life of me I can't understand how anyone with half a brain could vote for Obummer again.

His regime has been plagued with one controvery after another, and he's surrounded with the most obnoxious, anti liberty people in the WORLD!

We can thank the MSM for doing such a great job of protecting this Marxist piece of dung.

For many, voting D is more important that what the implications for the country are. They either agree with the Marxist agenda or are on the receiving end of the handouts. Either way I fear for the future of this country.

Trinacria| 10.4.11 @ 1:48PM

Did anyone with half a brain vote for him the first time?

big bob| 10.4.11 @ 12:06PM

I think other than Quinn, I am the only one to have read this book in this forum. If that is incorrect, I apologize. Yet, this is such a critical story in that Obama is working even now to limit the impact from last November's election on next year's presidential election. The DOJ is completely liberal, if not Marxist. This book is a cover to cover history of how it got that way. I can't recommend this book enough and agree with Quinn's assessment. I fully expect the mainstream media's booking of Christian to be withdrawn once they realize the story he is telling. The book is a must read.

Mike C| 10.4.11 @ 12:30PM

If you listened to any of the Rev, Wright sermons or listened to his mentor Rev Cone you'd know that Black Liberation theology isn't about redemption.

It's about retribution.

David in MA| 10.6.11 @ 2:31PM

It is about taking America over and making it a black America.....and we know how well a black country operates, don't we? Just look at any country which has a black leader and what do you see? A great country with no unemployement, wealth, top of the line medical, happy people who live in harmony with each other and no crime?
Nope!

ABNCP| 10.4.11 @ 12:59PM

By now no one can still believe that Obama is not operating an agenda that was put in place by the Soros Cabal even before they selected him to run for President. When you consider the full extent of his actions for the last two and a half years, all the programs, regulations, decisions and rulings that have been made into law or put in place by executive decisions, the puzzle starts to become very clear. His task is to destroy the fabric of traditional American values. That's what he was selected to do. And God help us he was elected by a perfect storm of anger for a Republican Party who had lost their way, independents who were confused by the Main Stream Media's complete political corruption, collage students who think someone who looks good and can talk well has to be one of them and thus a fountain of all the worlds wisdom, a black electorate who have sold the souls for hand outs and block vote in the 90 per cent for any Democrat, and that small percentage of radicals and entertainment air heads who have infected this country for decades. They were sure this man would be in office for eight years and he would be able during that time to complete the task he was selected for. Big mistake. Too much hubris. After the 2008 elections they all thought he was bullet proof. However, what he was, was so unqualified he had to turn his agenda over to Reid and Pelosi. Dumb and dumber because he had no idea how to manage or function as a CEO. The belief was that he was so loved his main task was to stand in front of a tele-prompter and give speeches ( he still thinks the same) and everyone would be so impressed all would be well. After all he WON, he had control of the Senate and the House what could go wrong? Well we have all seen how that movie sells, and now the Democrats are in a panic mode because they know this man, who has no understanding of American values will not be re-elected. The Democrats are going to lose control of the Senate, perhaps with a Republican 60 seat majority, they lost the house and they will lose the Presidency. Now I hope the Republicans take actions to return this country to it proper place in the world. If not there will be a new party to take their place.

Kent Lyon| 10.4.11 @ 1:34PM

Mr. Hillyer,
We are already seething in anger that this President could spit in the face of law and voter rights. The problem is that the American electorate doesn't give a tinker's damn about this and think its all fine and dandy. America has become a vicious, racialist country, and will never recover. Either that or the electorate is just brain dead. Even with the photographs of Obama marching with the New Black Panthers, vile racist anti-semites that they are, the large majority of Jews in America will not only still support Obama, they will work avidly and donate large quantities of money to support his re-election. The rest of the electorate will follow suit. There is no hope for America.

Oldefarte| 10.4.11 @ 2:08PM

I have no doubts that what the readers of this book will discover will [as Quin indicates] make them sick to their stomachs. This goes to the very heart of who/what was/is/forever will be entirely represented by this administration, and that is a radical, leftist, socialistic street thugs [Acorn style] from the Windy City. As I [and others as well] opined pre 11/4/08, allowing the powers of the most important job in the entire world come under the control of persons such as this was/is a huge mistake [and sad be the persons not realizing same]!!!!!!!!

Southern_Comment| 10.4.11 @ 10:46PM

Obama is a racist. Plain and simple. No need to mince words. He is a pure, card-carrying racist in good standing. He hates whitey. He hates America. And he hates white Americans. I am at a loss for how it could be any plainer. The one time in recent memory when the word "racist" actually fits and we're not gonna use it? C'mon! Grow a pair already. That's how this evil scum wins. We're too friggin' nice. WAY, too...

Cynthia Pestka| 10.5.11 @ 11:52AM

I don't know about anyone else, but when I heard about Obama sitting in a pew at a black liberation church for 20 plus years, I knew that I could not vote for him. I have attended my church for that long, and I can guarantee that I would NOT be attending if I didn't agree with what was being said(at least for the most part) from the pulpit. Anyone who still voted for the man after learning this info was brain dead.

Dan| 10.5.11 @ 5:06PM

I recently visited in-laws in upstate Pennsylvania and were amazed they believe Obama and his administration are doing a good job and should be re-elected. In part this is because they only read local papers filled with what is going on at their local parish, some local news and news from AP stringers. And they only view ABC, NBC and CBS. But the other part is they just do not trust Republicans and were quick to tell me it is all Bush's fault. And there are millions more like them who, when the time comes, will vote for Obama...no matter what.

David in MA| 10.6.11 @ 2:16PM

If Congress will not impeach or disqualift obozo as being an illegal holder of the presidency then the Capitol Police must arrest him, his czars & accomplices for violations of law. Which he and they have committed many of.
OR, some attorney with the balls to do it must file in court to remove this usurper in the name of the citizens of the United States, who certianly have "standing".
