The late conservative philosopher Russell Kirk long ago
pointed out that one of the (many) troubling aspects with modern
liberalism (and old style radicalism) was its endlessly foolish
belief in what Kirk termed “the perfectibility of man.” Evil in the
human race exists today as it did in 1932 — as it has forever. Can
today’s Egypt become yesterday’s Nazi Germany Islamic-style in a
blink?
Of course.
Americans need no reminder that the wild beast has already
visited America. His name was Mohamed Atta. And yes, yes indeed, he
was very much a part of the Egyptian Muslim Brotherhood.
The question?
Has the wild beast that is the Muslim Brotherhood been
unchained in Egypt?
We will see.
CB| 2.15.11 @ 6:35AM
Wow. I wish that every time we see any reference to the Muslim Brotherhood we would see Attas' name right next to it. This is excellent information that, unfortunately, will not be picked up by the mainstream media.

Some things are better with Islam; their madrasses are better and less expensive than our schools. I like their food better. And their mosques leave you alone unlike, say, Campus Crusade for Christ (Cam-PUS Crucifers For FrankenChrist).
It is true most of us like America much better than any Islamic country-- but you are one-sided in the extreme.
Alan Brooks| 2.15.11 @ 10:11PM
"And their mosques leave you alone"
It has to be added that by mosques I mean mosques here in America, they don't shit on people the way fundamentalists in America do.
FrancisChalk| 5.6.11 @ 10:03PM
Young Mr. Brooks: I say young because your comments reek of naivety and the ignorance of limited life experiences. First of all, there is no such thing as Islamic food (unless you are referring to halal prepared meats) any more than there is Catholic food. There are 1.5 billion Muslims and their diets are as diverse as their various cultures. The foods of Indonesia, Morocco and Turkmenistan are at every bit as different from one another as the foods of Germany, Italy and Greece are to each other. Perhaps you enjoy lamb kebabs and lavash bread from the local Lebanese restaurant and have concluded that it’s “Islamic food.” Also, despite the nagging persistence of various Christian proselytizers on campus, to compare that mild irritation to the massive and overwhelming influence of Islam as practiced in Muslim majority countries is simply stunning in its ignorance; your American mosque qualifier statement notwithstanding. Many in America (you obviously) simply can’t grasp the overwhelming influence of Islam on the everyday lives, philosophy, thinking and personal behavior of its adherents in the Muslim world. You could look at the most secluded, cultish, religious sect in America and probably find less actual religion doctrine displayed in their daily lives than with any run-of-the-mill, garden variety Muslim. If you don’t like people handing you pamphlets as you walk down the street, wait till you see Islam in action. Understand, in ALL Muslim majority countries if Sharia law is not The Law, then Sharia still has a tremendous influence on the legal, cultural and social system. I won’t even delve into Islam’s treatment of women and homosexuals as you likely have less issue with that than you do someone asking you if you’ve been “saved.” By the way, I've lived and travelled extensively in South Asia and Europe, and traveled many times, often for weeks at a time, to Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, UAE, Bahrain, Qatar, Turkey, Indonesia, and the former Soviet Stans--all majority Islamic countries. The leftist media and your equally leftist/socialist professors have done you a great disservice if you have graduated from college and espouse such a simplistic understanding of a vast swath of world culture.

"Those who fail to learn from history..." you know the rest. It's not as though from 1923 on the NYT was warning "Hitler is bad news. Resist him at every turn." Of course, they weren't too perspicacious about Stalin, either. But it's not like the Muslim Brotherhood is simply overlaying its radical views with a heavy trowel; those polls showing that a solid majority of Egyptians agree with the most inhumane aspects of Sharia are far more frightening.
Who was it who wrote that the only hope for a relatively decent life in the Muslim nations is (or was) secular dictatorship? Too true, I'm afraid.

Excellent piece highlighting the extreme danger that the nation and the world is up against. Hard to understand the incredible resistance to the myriad clues, connections and blatant facts lying about. As someone who lived in NYC during the 9/11 massacre I find it incredulous that the highest of government officials would continuously discount the dangers, and actually welcome the ascension of these monsters. Every day I wake up expecting some Senator or Congressman to be demanding investigations, impeachments, openly screaming...and nothing, still nothing.

I'm not sure that Clapper wasn't right by stating that Islamic fundamentalism is "largely secular". The Islamic fundamentalists are just like the Nazis and Soviets - the church is the state and the state is the church. When you worship one, you worship the other. What you render unto Caesar you're rendering unto God, and vice versa. At least Islam is aptly named; with the Nazis, Soviets and Islam you have nothing but utter and total Submission.
So Obama and his ilk survey the world and see a choice: Tea Partiers or Submission. Given what we know about them, is any wonder that they are backing the Muslim Brotherhood?
MikeD| 2.15.11 @ 7:42AM
I am continually amazed how incredibly stupid certain types of people continue to be. The New York Crimes is loaded with them; ala' Paul Krugman and Maureen Dowd(y). I have always maintained that the demise of george Bush's Presidency can be traced to one single day; the day he refused to do one single thing when the "Crimes", over warnings that they'd be aiding terrorists, intentionally chose to assist terror over American lives by releasing the information they had illegally obtained about how we traced terrorist activities threough their financial transactions.
On that terrible day, two things were made obvious: First, that the "Crimes" could do, and get away with, just about anything they wanted. Second, that George Bush was so intimidated by the foul mouthed hatred from the media and their usual allies on the left that he did nothing to protect the U.S. and her people from the terrorists who had learned to use our legal institutions against us. That was the day I realized that a potentially magnificent administration was nothing but a gang of cowards.

Most, if not all of us, seek articles, books and the news reporting that seems to fit with what we believe. A much smaller percentage seek out the same sources that do not fit with our beliefs. During my time with the USG, I was surprised by the sheer number of "political appointees" that arrived from both sides who knew more than you did, immediately. If your expert opinion did not fit their mindset, you were likely never to be asked for your input again. The "thing" about reading a book or an article is, that after you have finished reading a well written piece, that you understand how little you really know and seek out more sources. Unfortunately, there are just too many who already "know".

Isn't it amazing how malleable the masses have been throughout history, and sold promise by a self anointed narcissistic moral/virtuous authoritarian delivery system. Whether is was Lenin and the farmers, or muhammad the false prophet, it is a text book exercise of human manipulation and control. What is more staggering, is the denial, that continues even in the 21st century, when man becomes a "god." Genuine individual freedom of thought and agency, will always be the only true test of mankind's, or a society's intent and foundation of morality. Yet, our eggheaded "enlightened" deniers in institutions of supposed higher learning and 21st century media, continue to refuse to acknowledge all the blood spilled and evidence buried in the ground; and the oppression of the human spirit by those who profess to champion it. Islam means "submit," and probably not by accident.

Mr. Lord
Thank you. I have been writing for over a year now in a "future history" fictional format.
I have been doing so in order to make an end run around that "willful blindness" you speak of.
Some how, the Left, and their useful dupes have erected shutters to their thinking, and seemingly, no dose of reasoned discussion such as yours above can break sunlight through those shutters.
I have found that when reading "fiction" (or watching a movie for that matter) one is allowing oneself "to suspend disbelief" in order to let the story play out as long as it is plausible, and internally consistent.
I managed to finish and publish Part One last October 1 before the elections as an e-book. I sent a LOT of review copies to columnists and spokes-people, and have been delighted to watch my themes internalized and reflected back to us day to day.
I hope to be able to finish the entire book in a combined cover by mid March.
I suppose I am most gratified by the number of thank you notes from folks who are in a position to get our guards up to ward off some of the debacles portrayed and or inferred within the work.
I would be pleased to send you a review copy as well. Simply contact my publishing company at

There is no religion more anti-semitic and anti-christian than mahomatenism. The so-called Muslim Brotherhood (Mahomaten Brotherhood would be more accurate) is a typical case study of how the mahomaten fanatics work assiduously to bring everyone into line with their menaces and threats while dunderheaded western liberals pretend that mahomatenism is a peaceful creed that has no connexion at all with such violent and hateful cliques.

Jeffrey's writings just get better and better with each passing day! Bullseye, correct, exactly, BRAVO! Just as the recent overthrow of Mubarak was accompolished by street-protesting Egyptian youths, so too did Germany's youth corp provide the foundation-basis for Hitler's eventual triumph in his country. Of course Hitler and his Nazies did it by subversion-----does anyone expect a ruthless, tyranical maniac to acquire political power by honestly declaring his/their intentions initially? Everyone should view/review the outstanding movie JUDGEMENT AT NURENBERG, where actress Marlene Dietrich proclaims her and the German peoples' lack of knowledge of what was happening to Germany's Jews pre/during Hitler's rise to power [which is BS of course, since any moron with a 5th grade intelligence should have known full well what truly was going on inside their country]. Thanks for another vital history lesson, Mr. Lord.
As Bob Dylan sang, “Everybody must get stoned”.
Who knew that “stoned” would go through such a wild transformation, from indicating being high on marijuana to coldly describing PHYSICAL stoning by Islamic fools?
Nowadays, what’s absolutely required is that people with “stones” rise into power, and honestly deal with the world as it is.
This leads me to extrapolate what Dylan wrote by combining it with a famous hoped for change that Reality brings to some, who are awake---
“Everybody must get mugged.”
Actually, it seems to me that with the present eruption of revolutions spreading across the Middle East, one might even say that humanity as a whole IS---
Getting mugged---RIGHT NOW!
Life is an unavoidable continuation of lessons, so, we’ll see what the sum of each individual’s ability to learn from them is.
Too many people are SMOKING too much bad stuff, and expressing their resultant “disease”.
Such “cancer” is certainly mugging away---pain DOES tend to wake us up.
I recommend a thin 96-page book, “The Brilliant Function of Pain”, by Milton Ward, from 1977. It’s tag line,
“Pain is designed to keep us well”, says it all.
Enjoy the burgeoning PAIN!

Refugee Resettlement Watch informs us today ( http://refugeeresettlementwatc.....ment-20738 ) that Joshua Hoyt, Executive Director of the Illinois Coalition for Immigrant and Refugee Rights (and board member of the far left Organizers’ Forum), will be attending the 2011 International Dialogue in Egypt where, as stated on the Oraganizer's Forum website; "we will meet with labor and community organizers and other activists in Cairo...There are exciting changes... in what has been an autocratic regime, now challenged by the Muslim Brotherhood..."
This appears to be a bit more than willful blindness.
Notably, Ahmed Rehab, director of CAIR Chicago, ( http://www.cairchicago.org/ ) an offshoot of the Muslim Brotherhood and an unindicted coconspirator in the holyLand Foundation trial, also serves on the ICIRR board.
For those who aren't aware, Rehab is the go to guy for the msm and fox whenever questions of Islamophobia pop up. In fact, Rehab's reports from Tahrir square have been dutifully reported by ABC news Chicago.

John,
You are a complete idiot and an absolute racist. It was clearly laid out that one of the 9/11 criminals was of the Muslim brotherhood. Your entire argument is always, "It's Israel's fault." Why should the Israeli's be kind to people who want nothing more than to wipe it from the earth? Why should Jews hold out their hands to people that want nothing more than to kill them? And you do realize that the current nation of Israel was formed because of the Nazis and World War II; not that WWII happened because of Israel, right?
Everytime you come on here, you spout we are racists, then you follow it with racists comments about Israel and Jews. You then accuse the people here of "vile lies and insults" stating you won't stoop to it, yet that's exactly what you do. I hope you someday get to meet a Jew who believes in God, Country, and Guns. If that scares you, pray you and your type never meet me and mine.

Ok let me jog your memory. The Russians invaded Afghanistan early eighties. Reagan gave billions of dollars and training to bin laden and his mates. Who were brainwashed to carry out sucide attacks against the soviets. Now fully trained and seeing that his own country saudi was in the pockets of uncle Sam he turned on his masters. But no you think its everyone elses fault. I'm against Zionism because of its arpatheid colonising policies. That is an honourable position.
albert constantine jr| 2.15.11 @ 8:55PM
I concur with Ken that English is not John's native language, nor his favorite subject, though, neither apparently is history. While it is splitting hairs, I believe the first Soviet troops arrived in Afghanistan in 1979. President Reagan took office in 1981. I have yet to see any definitive evidence that Bin Laden received any U.S. aid, and as for his 'mates' (another vocabulary choice that suggests at least American English was not the language of learning for 'John' either), well , we sent lots of aid to Stalin from 1941-1945 to effect the outcome of that war, only to spend the next 50 plus years in a Cold (and at times not so Cold) War fighting him and the Soviet dictators that followed him. I'm not sure that that means we were wrong to fight World War II.
I do look forward though to more of your thoughts on "Palestinian christain Muslims ", "Zino fascist policies ", "Nanzi Germany " and "Isreal".

Centuries from now, it would not be surprising if historians should puzzle over today's Western societies. They will try to reconstruct the beliefs and thought patterns from the remaining records and be stunned by the illogic and self - destructive nature of it all. They will conclude that it was no surprise that such societies should collapse, but remain perplexed as to the reasons for large numbers of persons continually choosing to be " willfully blind " even realizing it would ruin their futures and those of their descendants.

Of course what gets lost in this discussion is the fact that Israel back in the 70's supported both the brotherhood and Hamas to help counter the PLO, actions that in hindsight were serious miscalculations on their part. And most of the attacks carried out against us, 911 included, were done because we were places like Saudia Arabia that we had no legitimate reason to be. And I'm sorry, terrorism existed in Palestine long before Al Queda came along. Anyone remember the group that former Prime Minister Begin belonged to? Irgun? King David Hotel? People like Einstein, Hanna Arendt and others roundly condemned the actiions of this group for the terrorists they were. So maybe some of these Palestinian terrorists simply went to school on the actions of the Israeli terrorists before them?
