From Apathy to Action
The American people are tired of getting mugged.
Every few decades or so, the electorate of our nation manages to produce leaders who almost immediately prove to be so disastrously inept, that many Americans are left asking, “How in the world did we elect these guys?” That question inevitably morphs into, “Why don’t the voters in this country pay more attention to what’s really going on? Don’t they care?” And it is these points in our history that produce truly momentous events, for good or for bad.
One of these moments is now upon us. Like a splash of cold water in the face, the deeds of Obama Democrats have produced a rude awakening in the land, one that is likely to shake up American politics for years to come. The president says it has nothing to do with his policies, that it’s just voter apathy; and although these ideas may seem mutually exclusive, both can be equally correct. But in this case, the policies have been the cure for the apathy.
Because in truth, it is not really the policies of the left which lull folks into happy, apathetic slumber — indeed, the reverse is true, their policies are so radical that they cannot survive the light of day — but the couching of them in euphemistic propaganda allows basically good-hearted Americans to get lazy in their citizenship, armed with the belief that all the fuzzy-wuzzy intentions of the left can’t help but be good for the nation; grounded, as they have been so deceptively led to believe, in name of fellowship and goodwill toward men.
After all, who but miserly Republicans would be so cruel as to deny a tiny crumb of their tax money going to help the least fortunate among us? Who but greedy capitalist pigs would deny American workers the opportunity to unionize in order to protect them from corporate wolves? Who but hateful, religious freaks would deny equal rights and privileges to those who have a different sexual agenda?
Who but misogynistic bigots would protest leveling the playing field in education and jobs, which only tips the scale of opportunity in the direction of those who for so long have been kept from dining at the big table? Why would anyone fear a benevolent government that is the only hope for those uneducated masses who are ill-equipped to raise their children or even themselves properly; after all, we are the government, are we not?
Except that every once in a while, events combine that make folks see through the sloganeering that disguises their dangerous and hidden agenda; when their policies are exposed for what they are and more importantly, when they begin to affect the electorate. When things actually hit home; when it’s you who cannot get a job, you who loses your healthcare, you who finds yourself in deep debt, it becomes personal.
And this is their dilemma. People may feel that they are liberal in theory — the island where their philosophy resides — but when real feet-on-the ground issues like taxes and national defense intrude upon the kumbaya world they inhabit, things change. The old adage that a conservative is a liberal who has been mugged has never been truer. And mugged has our nation been indeed.
Making matters worse for Democrats is the fact that Barack Obama has gone from prodigy to preachy; the last thing Americans want from their president when things are bad. To this day, Americans of a certain age still cringe when they picture in their mind’s eye — or anywhere else — the image of the commander in chief, the leader of the free world, sitting in front of a fireplace dressed like Fred Rogers lecturing us, not on how to confront and solve our problems, but how we should give in and change our lifestyles in defeat.
And now we have another defeatist in the White House; one who goes about apologizing for the American way of life to a world that has, for the most part, benefited from this most singular way. At heart, this sort of talk sticks in the craw of all but the most radical of left-wingers. So Barack Obama and friends can do us all a favor and continue lecturing voters to shake off their apathy: it is the surest path to their defeat.

Dear Congregants,
It is our great honor to be able to address you in this joint epistle. My good friend, the Rev. J. Wright, is already well known to you for his many years of faithful service. Not only has he been instrumental in the proper training and education of our current fine President, he has set down with me to pen this missive in which we present our fool-proof plan for Rev. Wright's goal of damning Amerikkka (which, as you know, is in the Bible).
As our great President has been recently associated with the United Church of Christ denomination, we expect this denomination should grow in influence within this country. We have already floated the major points within this timely epistle to several of your fellow denominations, and we can assure you that many are already on board (especially the United Methodists and Episcopalians). Thus, without further ado, please allow us to present the Rev. J. Wright program for the damnation of Amerikkka!
Point one: Abortion on demand, including "partial-birth" abortion. We here at the United Church of Christ are now proud supporters of abortion on demand. In keeping with our strong position on the environment (detailed below), we realize that the main problem with the world today (and any other day) is people. Human beings are, quite simply, the scourge of all that is good and peaceful upon this planet. Well, we have a solution: More abortions, fewer people! As a bonus, we will raise an entire generation which has been inured to the destruction of human life. As life grows cheaper and cheaper in their eyes, our beautiful Culture of Death will flourish! Once we can accept the necessity, nay, even the beauty, of crushing the skull of a partially-born child, nothing will be beyond our grasp. Human life will become cheap, Amerikkka will be damned, and our program will proceed! As an aside, we will also work to make sure that these abortions are provided at taxpayer expense, thus ensuring common participation in this practice.
Of course, there are those whom the state would put to death whom we must assure are spared. Specifically, we refer to the archaic and barbaric practices of some states within this nation of executing convicted murderers. While these states try to defend their horrific practice through such legal trickery as "jury trials" and executing only murderers who show "aggravating circumstances" such as rape, torture and mutilation of their "victims", the fact remains far too many murderers are put to death in these states. This pathetic, medieval notion of "justice" must be brought to an end. We should note that the pathetic, illiterate denizens of these states are also the same cretins who oppose our glorious position for legalized abortion. It boggles the mind that they can claim to be "pro-life" over a stupid little blob of cells while simultaneously being willing to execute a "murderer" (who was probably abused as a child and the victim of racism) for his "crimes". We must bring a halt to all executions of murderers, and thus hasten the damnation of Amerikkka, which is, of course, in the Bible.
My good friend Rev. J. Wright and I have also considered another oppressive institution which is a cornerstone of the racist, misogynistic, homophobic and patriarchal nation which is Amerikkka. This institution is, of course, heterosexual marriage, which various bitter clingers throughout the under-educated portions of the nation consider a "divinely-instituted" institution; and its corollary, the pathetic "two-parent" home. The insistence on so many churches of recognizing this pathetic institution has been one of the greatest obstacles to our long term goals. Fortunately, you of the United Church of Christ denomination have been in the vanguard of those who recognize the equality, nay, even the superiority of alternative family arrangements. The advent of gay marriage, the acceptance of homosexuality, bi-sexuality, and now even omni-sexuality, are truly magnificent to behold. Already our friends within the properly enlightened denominations join our cause for full sexual liberation. And thus the damnation of Amerikkka, which is of course in the Bible, proceeds apace.
Finally, please allow us a moment to address the matter of environmentalism. Those of us with my fine firm have long understood what pathetic creatures you human beings truly are, and the great error that was made in allowing your existence. Your pestilential presence upon this sphere has caused us no end of anguish for untold eons. I cannot tell you how truly gratified I am too see that you have come around to our point of view. Now that your "green" movement has come to fruition, you too understand that your kind must end for the good of the planet. And who has been more in charge of defending religious environmentalism than you, our great friends within the United Church of Christ denomination? Once your youth come to appreciate the beauty of a world without humanity, then our Final Solution, carried out through specially empowered panels of Obamacare Enforcement Agents, may be implemented. I look forward to seeing all of you on a much more permanent basis quite soon. Just after the damnation of Amerikkka, which is, of course, in the Bible.

Politics can't be taken seriously anymore. When the GOP takes over in January, it will do the same things Gingrich did 15 years ago; it will say "we will not balance the budget on the backs of the elderly", then it will scrutinize all spending to find there's not much spending that can be cut without alienating too many GOP supporters.
So the GOP will concentrate on cutting taxes, the economy will grow, but the government wont be any smaller. It has become a routine- you can set the Atomic Clock by it.

What is sad, and frightening, is that to this day so many Republicans fail to understand the magnitude of the issue at stake. They still seek to accomodate, to compromise, with the wrong-headed (evil?) view of the Left which has brought us to this sorry state.
Should the GOP fail again, as it did after 1994 and 2000, we would do well to remember what alternatives remain to "The People"... the right specified in the Declaration of Independance. Do we really need to exercise that option once again?

Yes the Republicans morphed into econmic fools under Bush II and the Democrats are far worse now, with Obama controling them, than they have been for over 40 years. However, how about the American voting public. We gave that idiot Gore over half the popular vote. We gave John (look doc I have an owiee on my arm please give me a Puple Heart) Kerry almost half the popular vote. When will we grow up and start to understand when we vote in Presidential elections, we vote not only for the President of the United States but in effect for the leader of what's left of the Free World. This country can no longer let a baised media and academe set the bar for political power.
It appears we have started to come out of that indolence and begin to understand the price we are now paying and will pay in the future if we let the progressives control this country. But, first we must blame ourselves for the past, understand what happened and why and take control of our future.

While I agree with Lisa's article 100%, I also am aware of the enormous cost to taxpayers that this awakening by El Chosen One's coronation has produced, to the economic/financial tune of $trillions added to our governmental deficit/debt [which subsequently has to be dealt with, eliminated, revised etc by (hopefully) our future elected congressmen]!!!!!!!!!!

Odefarte, we have to look at this in the pespective of a "culture war". In any war, there's going to be a cost. In the case of the culture war, there's a human cost just like a regular war but instead of bodies lost in combat, there are families destroyed, young men in prison due to unemployment/bad environment, and of course the bottom line: The financial cost.
In a regular war, the combatants are easy to spot. They live in different areas and even wear uniforms. In a culture war, you work side by side with the enemy and may even have a friendship. Your "friend" may favor an agenda whereby you are denied civil rights in the name of "equality" or, and this is crazy, they themselves would be denied civil rights in the name of equality but they don't think it will happen to them. That's the craziness of the left: They don't actually expect to get power themselves. They just like cheering for it.
Leftism is culteral insanity. It hates itself. It seeks to transfer wealth from the people to politicians to ultimately distribute to their cronies. I grew up in a similar environment: Northeast Pennsylvania. The rust belt. What a mess. The former USSR looks better!

When does the US government get the right, to extort money from taxpayers to pay for illegal alien children education, health care and a huge number of undisclosed programs thatcater to these people? But if Senator Reid, Barbara Boxer, Nancy Pelosi and all their Democrats followers get returned to the corruption of Washington. Vice President Joe Biden has a similar voting record on illegal immigration to Reid, Boxer, Pelosi, including funding for Sanctuary Cities and no limit to money for illegal aliens. Mark my word the first thing they will do, is to pass the next Amnesty. We might not care to much for the elites in the GOP, but with the involvement of the Tea Party, the majority leaders will not be able to carry on the wishes of their corporate masters as before. With the hidden influences of the shadow government, led by George Soros they are rest assured to stick us with the 13 to 20 illegal immigrants shielded in Sanctuary Cities and States such as California. The Tide Foundation behind the Huffington press, the editorial heavily weighted down with Ultra Liberal George Soros cash.
The painful result as analyzed by the Heritage foundation is we can add another 2.6 TRILLION dollars, to the US Government deficit of 13 TRILLION. In 2007, it was Senator Harry Reid and Sen.Barney Frank that forced through the legislation forcing banks to lend to high-risk borrowers (Low Income mortgagees) which has destroyed our housing market. U.S. Senate candidate Carly Fiorina will be a major blockade against the infusion of illegal immigration here and will not be passing a Path to Citizenship or AMNESTY.
We need to take a page of Europe and mass deport them, opening the way for jobs for Americans. This will take time using a new powerful revitalized identification program, for business to use and extract illegal labor. All these so called shovel-ready jobs using shady contractors should be forced to use E-Verify. However Senator Reid only allowed E-Verify to pass as a voluntary program. Harry Reid and his minions are a menace to our society, and him as an Incumbent and all the rest should not be allowed anywhere near Washington. He is certainly a tax and spend ultimate liberal, ready to drain your wage packet and purse by allowing illegal workers to join our Social Security benefit program. Interesting enough, FAIR has also diagnosed that annually we the taxpayers dish out another $113 Billion dollars, catering to pregnant women who steal into America, so they can collect benefits, low income housing for the instant citizenship children.
The Liberal press never gives the truth about an assessment of number illegal aliens settled here, or the incredulous costs to hospitals, the education system and a overcrowded prisons. Then again, neither political party will offer a genuine, in the American people's interest to start self-deportation through Attrition. The state of Arizona has the right idea of the passage of SB1070 and I respect them for protecting their citizens and residents even though must fight for sanity in the federal courts. As a blogger I can only give you an outline of costs to you. Under the Democratic Senate and house they will keep on forcing you to pay for all these free handouts that the low income Americans are rejected for. Illegal alien women with Anchor Babies can immediately receive section 8 housing when they have three to six children. Read all the outrageous facts of where your taxpayer dollars go in the illegal alien gigantic pool of money.
Well termed "Anchor Babies" illustrates the economic costs to support at least 300.000 of these children of illegal alien females every year. Anchor babies born to illegal aliens instantly qualify as citizens for welfare entitlements and have caused enormous rises in Medicaid costs and stipends under Supplemental Security Income and Disability Income. In Georgia alone gleaned by a true patriotic American Frosty Woodbridge, " Births of illegal aliens in Georgia cost to taxpayers (Remember, intentional or not, statistics where illegal immigration is almost unobtainable. 2000-- 5,133 births cost: $13 million; 2001-- 9,528 births cost: $23 million;2002—11,188 births cost: $27 million. Today I have just heard the State of Arizona is taking a stand on this fireball issue, that their county recorder offices are not issuing birth certificates to children of alien parents.
Its imperative you GOOGLE--the keyword "Anchor Babies Costs" and read Frosty Woodbridges report and come think,all his reports? Read all the official articles and do your deeper investigation for yourselves. Its likely you will have heart palpitations over the dollar figures. In addition read about one illegal family and the money they are collecting from taxpayers. A Frosty says, "In California the cost for all five of their children for one school year exceeds $35,000.00 times 18 years for a grand taxpayer total of $630,000.00. This is only one family. No wonder California is $38 billion in debt.
To interate go to GOOGLE--and establish your own priorities of where taxpayer dollars should be going? Why should you enter this country without permission and immediately have access to other people's money? On the non-profit website of NumbersUSA are all the answers you need to this spreading problem, including Immigration grades of both the Liberal Democrats and Republicans. If pro-illegal immigrant voters don't remove Senator Reid, Boxer, Pelosi, Napolitano, Leader and Holder, we are looking at a perilous financial situation, a collapsing infrastructure and worse millions more economic migrants trying to slip into our country. The truth is either party is to blame for this mess, Republicans giving in to the profits of businesses using cheap labor. Then we have the Liberals and Democrats hoping to hold onto their power, by showing not for their love for illegal immigrants, but for future votes.
