House and Senate Republicans stand ready to investigate Obama campaign ties to foreign money.

House and Senate Republican staff members on the Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee and House Government Oversight Committee say they will be more than happy to open investigations into White House and Democrat party charges of foreign financial influence in the U.S. election process if they win back majorities in Congress this November.

“Given that we know that President Obama’s presidential election campaign received millions of dollars and possibly tens of millions of dollars in foreign donations, and that a number of union-funded organizations received foreign contributions during the 2008 and 2010 election cycles, and that MoveOn.org has perhaps received millions in foreign contributions, not to mention the possibility that the Center for American Progress has foreign donors, we can see where the American people might be concerned that these entities not have the opportunity in the 2012 election cycle to tap into such resources,” says a Senate Republican staffer with ties to the Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee’s Permanent Committee on Investigations. “And since our Democratic colleagues chose to ignore all of this, then perhaps we should revisit them.”

Should Republicans regain control of the House and/or Senate, they would be in a position to open investigations and hold hearings similar to the ones held back in the 1990s, when it was revealed that the Clinton White House, with Vice President Al Gore as the point person, sought illegal campaign contributions from individuals with ties to the communist Chinese and other Asian countries. Those investigations led to criminal charges and several Democrat fundraisers spending time behind bars for their illegal activities.

“Most media reports now say that these Democratic charges are baseless, but we’ve been wanting to look at where all these left-wing Democrat groups that are so active on the policy front at the EPA, FCC, and elsewhere get their money. I’m sure that a Republican House Oversight chairman would be happy to hold such hearings,” says a House Oversight Republican staffer.

Just how much hard data such investigations and hearings might render is unclear. Leftist groups like MoveOn, the Center for American Progress, and Free Press are legally protected from revealing their donor lists. Some groups at times have revealed the names of some major underwriters.

California Rep. Darrell Issa is in line to become the chair of the House oversight committee, while Sen. Tom Coburn could possibly lead the Senate investigations subcommittee.

Darryl Issa - You Are The Man! You are hopefully in a safe district in your area.

I hope you dig deep into every nook and cranny of the Obama Regime - especially the czars who never had to come before committees to Pass Go.

Those czars, especially Cass Sunstein, are doing the really damage to my country. They are making rules and regulations that Americans won't find out about until a situation arises that most of us take for granted BECAUSE WE ARE NORMAL - UNLIKE THE PEOPLE IN THE OBAMA REGIME.

COMMUNISTS ARE CALLING THE SHOTS NOW AND BARACK HUSSEIN OBAMA MUST BE IMPEACHED TO UNDO THE DAMAGE HE HAS DELIBERATELY DONE TO AMERICA!

Ret. Marine| 10.13.10 @ 7:42AM

Yes indeed, let the investigations begin, but really folks do we not have more pressing things to get done? Sure we do #1 on the list should be the impeachment process, the others (demonrat party members) can be handled at a latter date, p.s. get the order for more orange jump suits ready we are going to need them, big time.

Melvin| 10.13.10 @ 7:45AM

OK, let us say for sake of conversation that the Obama administration accepted scads of foreign money..............................................................
Republicans trying to break that moment of awkward silence, "Pssst, psssst John, what do we do now?" "I dunno ask John McCain to reach across the aisle."

Martin Owens| 10.13.10 @ 8:51AM

A sad Amen to that. Once more, at the very moment we'll need Popeye the Sailor and the Lone Ranger, we'll get Mr. Rogers and Aunt Pitty-Pat. The Republican "leadership" never misses a chance to miss their chance...

Timothy L. Pennell| 10.13.10 @ 11:03AM

And a sad Amen to you, too Melvin. We've been down this road before. Who else, but Republicans, would be so STUPID, as to give your ENEMY Co-Chairmanships on Committees, because they each had 50 Members in the Senate? Even though the Republican V.P., as the President of the Senate, gave them the 51st Vote.
They'll Reach out to their "Friends" on the other side of the aisle, to "Show the American People that they can come together to get things done for the Country". PUKE.
It's time to SHINE THE LIGHT on this Anti-American Administration.
It's time to GET TO THE BOTTOM of what's going on at this RACIST, ANTI-AMERICAN Justice Department, and its' CROOKED A.G. Holder.
It's time to INVESTIGATE this Kenyans' FAR LEFT CZARS.
And it's time to UNSEAL Husseins' LIFE STORY.
WE THE PEOPLE have a RIGHT TO KNOW who and WHAT this guy is. And what he's HIDING.

John T. | 10.15.10 @ 8:39AM

Even with all the evidence we now have of Clinton Gore corruption and O Bama tapping into foreign donations like he did there are still millions of Americans waiting to vote the people back into power. To me that is the problem we now face, that the electorate is willing to overlook such serious warning signs and vote their party line.

Colin Foy| 10.17.10 @ 8:18PM

Mr. Owens: You read my mind. I'll believe it when I see it. One slim silver lining, the Tea Party Candidates who actually make it to Washington may upset the apple cart much to the dismay of Sen. McConnell et al. Cheers!

JimH| 10.13.10 @ 8:10AM

Of course depending upon who you believe in regards to birth certificates and such, the Prophet may regard contributions from Americans as foreign sourced. It's all a matter of perspective.

JP| 10.13.10 @ 8:38AM

I think it would be a mistake to launch highly visible investigations into Obama's administration. Let's say the GOP does take the House and comes within 2 seats of taking the Senate. The GOP will still be in no shape to force thier agenda (stop the Obama agenda, yes. roll back ObamaCare and cut taxes, no). Yet, they will be expected to at least put out hurculean efforts to do something about the mess we're in. And the public will turn on them if they don't. Starting up a plethora of criminal investigations will backfire if the public smells a political witch hunt. And the Dems and Obama will benefit.

The 2012 election cycle will see 25 Democratic Senators fight to keep thier seats. Besides the Presidency, the Senate fight will be pivotal. The GOP shouldn't throw everything away in order to harrass a President. This nation has too many problems.

Bill Hussein O'Stalin| 10.13.10 @ 9:06AM

You're right. Every second spent on useless political media stunts would be time wasted. Regenerating the economy is all they need do. Reckless use of power for any reason will be viewed as another failed political movement in D.C. Reckless use of power is the last thing the public wants to see at this point.

Troy| 10.13.10 @ 9:13AM

Amen to that! A political witch hunt will not lower taxes, will not reduce regulations, will not improve our trade deficit with China, will not do any of the many, many things that are needed to help this country. There are very few signs being waved at Tea Parties across the nation saying "Investigate Foreign Funding." These people who will be elected are our representatives, not our rulers. Their job is to fix what we think is wrong with the country, not attack their political opponents.
While investigations will delay and interfere with the people who have hijacked the Democratic party and their plans to reshape our country, firm voting will do the same. If these people are guilty of recieving foreign money then low-key, simple investigations will get them scampering to cover their tracks. It does not need to be a major item.

JohnK| 10.13.10 @ 11:03AM

Troy, I'm more apt to agree with you than JP or Bill. But the point all three of you are tip-toeing around is this: The most obvious issues we want Republicans to tackle (economy, taxes, obamacare, etc) will ALL be stopped by obama's veto. Even defunding in a budget can be vetoed. In that kind of stalemate, obama will use it to his political advantage.

But if the Republicans launch investigations where there's a high likelihood criminality (black panthers, campaign finance, firing IGs, etc) there's no veto power to stop it. And if there is real criminality, what should the Republicans do? Ignore it? Because it "might" look like a "witch hunt?" That would leave us with nothing but the political battle over the budget, where the scant Republican majorities will be the weakest. THAT would be political suicide.

The fact is obama has an advantage when it comes to political rhetoric. But the soft underbelly of this administration is its ethics problems and potentially criminal behavior. If the Republicans show us that they will overlook violations out of political expediency, they will completely lose the support of the People. They will prove themselves no different than the democrats, who only care about their own reelection, having no real concern for the rule of law or upholding the Constitution. Personally, I will consider NOT launching investigations as a dereliction of duty, especially where criminality appears to be the most blatant.

Bill Hussein O'Stalin| 10.13.10 @ 11:38AM

The people don't want revenge, they want jobs. All the high level investigations in the world won't create one job.

JohnK| 10.13.10 @ 12:17PM

It has NOTHING to do with "revenge." You want jobs to be a top priority. Cool. Me too. But here is a real life scenario. It's happening. It's going to continue to happen.

Cap and Trade will most likely fail to pass. So the EPA, in violation of their authority, enacts a defacto carbon cap and trade using the Clean Air Act as its justification. It's a violation of the law, and of Congress' express direction. But, it is a regulatory body, under the control of the executive branch. This is twice a violation, both of legal authority, and as an abuse of power. Jobs are destroyed and the economy decimated.

But you don't want any "investigations," right? You just want "jobs." Investigations would be the fastest way of putting a check on the EPA action, but you don't want "revenge," you want "jobs."

I expect good legislation from Congress. I want good economic policy. But if you can't see that regulatory abuse by the administration will derail any recovery, destroying jobs, and that congressional oversight, checks and balances, is not only prudent, but absolutely mandatory to check the abuse of power and PRESERVE jobs, then you are half blind and completely wrong.

The next two years may get a little dicey, so I suggest you find the guts to face the challenges as they are. The economy and jobs will be destroyed if we don't address both economic policy, AND the illegal abuse of regulatory authority. That's the reality and it's time you figured that out.

Chris| 10.13.10 @ 12:40PM

If you want Jobs, then pass the "Fair Tax Plan" See HR-25.
Also See fairtax.org for all of the TRUE FACTS and detailed benefits of this "Plan"
Only a flamming foooooool[s] [Demorats] would argue AGAINST keeping all of their own money and AGAINST their own monatary self preservation!!

Bill Hussein O'Stalin| 10.13.10 @ 2:23PM

Sounds like a sure fired plan for doom.

Bill Hussein O'Stalin| 10.13.10 @ 2:26PM

By the way, leadership takes guts. Launching a bunch of investigations that the public won't understand or care about doesn't take any guts. A simpleton could do that. No, leadership would be enacting the legislation it's going to take to get the economy on track. That's where the guts are going to be found.

Robert Graves| 10.13.10 @ 9:26PM

It isn't either, or - it's both.

Anybody who can't walk and chew gum at the same time is going to fail.

darcy| 10.13.10 @ 6:09PM

JohnK: I agree with you 110% on this issue.

For our elected leaders (of either party) to imagine that they can abuse the powers of their office for personal and political gain, that they can trash our Constitution and install unaccountable rule-makers in order to force Anti-American agendas, subversive policies -- well, it only invites more of the same in the future.

If we don't hold the miscreants in D.C. accountable (beyone merely voting them out of office) they will find a way to do it again and to BENEFIT after being ousted from their inside and powerful connections. Some people here on this board simply do not seem to realize that these people INTEND to destroy us!

"'When giving his centennial address to Congress in 1876, President James Garfield issued the following warning: “Now, more than ever before, the people are responsible for the character of their Congress. If that body be ignorant, reckless, and corrupt, it is because the people tolerate ignorance, recklessness, and corruption. If it be intelligent, brave, and pure, it is because the people demand these high qualities to represent them in the national legislature…If the next centennial does not find us a great nation…it will be because those who represent the enterprise, the culture, and the morality of the nation do not aid in controlling the political forces.'”
(copied October 13, 2010 from gawtp.com/index . . . )

darcy| 10.13.10 @ 6:48PM

To Emile Zola's "J'accuse," let me cry, "Je demande."

Let me add that a demand, citing James Garfield's warning, has no teeth unless the people use the laws at its disposal to carry out the demand -- we WILL have an intelligent, brave, and pure national legislature because we INSIST upon it.

Make no mistake. The forces rallied against us are tireless, relentless, ruthless, determined, and oftentimes criminal.

They'd be please as punch if we lost our nerve, lost our sense of right and wrong -- when the infractions have been so blatant -- and let them 'live' another day to wreak their havoc upon our Republic. Such weakness in us would only serve to strengthen their troops.

Bill Hussein O'Stalin| 10.13.10 @ 7:22PM

Review your history. The last time the Republicans controlled the Congress they had an air tight case against William Jefferson Clinton who committed a felony, lying to a federal grand jury. It wasn't so much that they blew it, it was that they expended so much political will on it, the Republicans took the hit after the trial was over. Clinton kept his job and it left a negative view of the Republicans with the public. It didn't matter that the Republicans were right. They lost and that's all the public observed and remembered. It wasn't a complete waste of time but it was an open and shut case.

The case against Obama is more nefarious and most likely wouldn't be understood by a majority of the public. It could drag out for months making Obama the victim as the next election approaches it could actually play into his favor.

darcy| 10.13.10 @ 7:54PM

There's always some expedient reason NOT to do the right thing, isn't there?

Enabling an "above the law" congress and executive begets tyranny. You decide which you like better.

Margie| 10.14.10 @ 1:26AM

Great posts as always, darcy.

As to your last one, Amen.
Clinton ought to have been removed from office and ran out of town on a rail. Tarred and feathered as well.

It's like the parent who doesn't care enough to discipline the child. The child grows up thinking and knowing, that he can get away with wrong behavior with no accountability.
It seems we have a nation of spoiled political brats and it definitely is a reflection of the voting populace.

Hopefully there is enough anger among us to make a difference in the upcoming elections and once the people see that their vote really does count they will stay engaged in the process and they will come to appreciate what that means and from that will begin to hold our politicians accountable.

Bill Hussein O'Stalin| 10.14.10 @ 5:53AM

Politics doesn't have a "right thing" and that's why this will backfire so wonderfully against anyone who doesn't realize it's the economy stupid. The average citizen equates the law with a traffic ticket or something of that nature. When the majority are unemployed and there are so many things that need to be done, those who waste time on investigations will be perceived in a negative light. For proof of that just look at the negative press the 50 Attorneys Generals are receiving for looking at the mortgage process. They really haven't done any thing yet but their actions are being perceived in a negative light. Any time the government puts it's heavy hand on someone there are victims.

In this case, any investigations right off the bat will convince the public the Republicans are uncaring politicians who only care about power. If they are stupid enough to do it in the current economic situation they are through.

John - I too was nearly lulled into submission by Bill (with whose comments I am nearly always in line) and JP, but there was something nagging while I read. I got behind your first response, even moreso your second. You are acutely correct in the "diceyness" of the next couple/few years.

Folks - one of the chartered responsibilities of Congress is Executive Oversight. If blatant crimes (foreign financing) and administrative malfeasance (AG/New Black Panthers) is evident, AND easy to prove, I say go for it. Those in this country are almost persuaded need to be absolutely persuaded.

The most fascinating part of most of these comments is that those who are against big government prove their weakness by trying to rally big government behind their cause calling for big government type investigations while maintaining they are for smaller government.

The hypocrisy and inability to see that issue are beyond interesting.

O'Really| 10.15.10 @ 10:01AM

What's fascinating to me, Bill, is that you keep trying to rally big government behind your cause of creating jobs. Since when has creating jobs had ANYTHING to do with legislation? The only thing another "jobs creation" bill could possibly do is kill jobs. I'm going with the supposed "revenge seekers" on this one: keep our politicians busy knifing each other, and they won't have time to tax and regulate our businesses to death the way they're trying to do right now.

Remove the plank from your own eye, and then you shall see clearly to remove the speck from your brother's.

Bill Hussein | 10.16.10 @ 9:52AM

I've never said the government could create anything but misery. That's about all that' s going to happen if the Republicans start a bunch of stupid investigations that will all turn out to be a complete waste of time.

Colin Foy| 10.17.10 @ 8:23PM

Mr. Spiracy, God bless and good wishes. May your recovery be swift and complete!

CiLH| 10.13.10 @ 2:58PM

Respectfully, I must disagree with you, JP. Holding hearings and requiring the President, his Advisers & Czars to appear and testify in exact details about their decisions and actions - under oath - is a perfectly good way to stop or at least hold back 'Executive Orders'.

Requiring BO to appear, say every Tuesday, in front of an investigating committee would keep The One gainfully occupied and away from things that go bust.

BackToBasics| 10.13.10 @ 6:56PM

I think you are right about the Executive Orders. When Obam spoke of hand-to-hand combat I think he was speaking of both vetoes and EO's. Carbon trading is too complicated for an EO but amnesty for illegals would be a simple thing to do. I think he will attempt it before the 2012 elections. It would be the most important one he could do to quickly change the balance of power in the electorate. Repubs in the House can impeach him but I don't think Repubs will break 50-50 in the Senate and so he would not be convicted. He may have other things in mind too with EO's but amnesty would be the biggest.

In general I agree with those who do not want to see too many investigations for past offenses. Even if there were convictions, it would not matter to most people unless it was Obam himself and I don't think he can be touched significantly this way. Conservatives will be better off spending time and energy advancing their own ideas, reduce government's size, reduce taxes, make the country more business and worker friendly again. And don't forget the workers too like Bush and the RINOs did to a large extent. Wages have been dropping and high-quality jobs have been fleeing the country in an ever-accelerated pace since mid 2000 and Bush and the Repubs only made things worse in this area. And it is also a given that Obam and crew have exacerbated the problem even MUCH more quickly than Bush and company were doing. And what they've set in course is still coming at us ahead.

Investigations will seem a small matter in a couple more years if the economy does not improve and even gets worse.

Jocon307| 10.14.10 @ 12:19AM

Agreed. I'm not saying there aren't some issues that deserve to be investigated thoroughly. The Black Panthers voter intimidation case comes to mind. Maybe the czar issue also.

But the American people want the republicans to do two things if they gain majority status: FIX THE ECONOMY and STOP OBAMACARE.

Anything else is going to be seen as a distraction.

We need to show America a new way, which is really an old way. Common sense leadership.

Let's just try that.

But of course that DOES include stuff like standing on your majority, not deferring to the minority, etc.

The Republican leadership needs to realize the Tea Party is not disbanding on Nov 4th.

We will be watching you!

megapotamus| 10.13.10 @ 9:10AM

JP, I disagree. What the rules are is not so important as that they be applied evenly. The Dems and their media arm have set the rules for this, as O said, hand-to-hand combat. Let the laws, regs and traditions be enforced against both sides. No one has been enforcing any sort of restraint on Team O. As for the notion that this will be seen as distracting to the business of the nation, I say the first business of the nation today is to knock the Obies off their precarious perch and into the dirt. Everything else will follow in train.

JP| 10.13.10 @ 11:28AM

If the GOP takes Congress, and the oversight committees find suspiscious activities; or if some insider comes forward and reports illegal activities, by all means investigations should be done. But, the kind of open-ended tit-for-tat investigations that were the hallmark of the Clinton Years should be avoided.

If the GOP wishes to hold hearings, it should instead have HHS, EPA, and Justice Deparment officials explain thier actions (or inactions) in full view of the cameras. This is the kind of oversight that will get more results than doing witch hunts.

Conrad Spiracy| 10.14.10 @ 10:51AM

True - Clinton did not see conviction in the Senate. But after he was gone, he DID cop a guilty felony plea to Obstruction and had to surrender his law license. That affair wasn't tit-for-tat - it was about the commission of four felonies. Just because the Senate trial was about political deal making doesn't mean there wasn't "any there there."

Newsflash: A GOP takeover of the House and Senate will only serve to put the brakes on the progressive agenda of Obama and his henchmen. Do not for one minute think that we will go from mourning in American to morning in America just because the GOP controls one branch of Government. Obama is ruling by fiat anyway through his regulatory czars. The best any Republican can hope for is D.C. gridlock until 2012, and then run like hell against the "Do Nothing Congress" label.

Doctor Right| 10.13.10 @ 9:45AM

The time for pussy-footing around is over. The time for ACTION has arrived.

If the Republicans gain control in November, and can launch REAL investigation into this anti-American, socialist Muslim-in-Chief, then they MUST do it!

Impeachment, anyone?

Obama ain't Clinton. Clinton had people-skills, and the public liked him personally. The public is fast realizing that Obama is a prick.

Investigate him. Turn over every rock, and every stone. Subpoena Axelrod, Emmanuel, Stern...ALL OF THEM!

It's payback time, all you leftwing scumbags!

idalily| 10.13.10 @ 7:41PM

No, no, no. And NO. I don't care about payback. I care about the future of this country! If we distract ourselves and the R's we elect with hearing and investigations, we are doomed. Saving the country with sound fiscal policy is our ONLY priority right now. Nothing else matters. Nothing. Let Obama veto all he wants. The economy will stagnate for two more years, but this time, it will be Obama who will be seen as the one standing in the way. With investigations, we will only waste political capital, lose more R's to Indie land, and demonstrate that all our talk of caring about our country was just that. Talk. NO hearings. No investigations. Let Obama get justice from his Maker. Our job is to save the USA.

Phil Sukalewski| 10.13.10 @ 9:52AM

The Republicans need to set the agenda by sending up bills for tax cuts and to eliminate the various rules and regs that are knee-capping the country. e.g. Obamacare, the ethanol-in gas mandate, etc.

When Obama keeps vetoing each bill, it will be easy to see wh0 is trying to lead the country forward & who is standing in the way.

Redstateboy| 10.13.10 @ 11:27AM

Kishego| 10.13.10 @ 11:56AM

idalily| 10.13.10 @ 7:43PM

Agreed.

irish19| 10.13.10 @ 12:51PM

I'm with Phil. It took nearly 80 years to get where we are. It won't be solved in one election cycle. As a first step, the current headlong rush towards Euro-socialism needs to be stopped. Gridlock would accomplish that. Electing a conservative President in 2012 will allow the first steps at rolling things back. That would be the time to start serious investigations.

Conrad Spiracy| 10.14.10 @ 10:56AM

Methinks me almost convinced. I'm absolutely advocating a one-cycle miracle turnaround. My advocacy of investigations (not too well stated earlier) is go after the low hanging fruit.

Absolutely ........BRING IT ON!!!!!

Stanely.J| 10.13.10 @ 3:29PM

As much as I want the corruption in this administration brought to justice, I also wanted the corruption of the Bush administration brought to justice as well. Bush walked free, Obama will too, and one huge contributing factor in these injustices are in my opinion most likely because I think one would be hard pressed to find any politician, on either side of the isle, or in any publicly recognized party sitting in congress, the white house, or state and local governments who have not performed illegal, immoral and unethical acts. As for move on dot org and the other liberals, they should be stopped. But so should many of our own groups who are destroying the system by pulling the same things. Look at the US Chamber of Commerce. Its title and bylaws imply they are for the betterment of United States Businesses. But when they take close to a million in donations from foreign interest, like India the outsource center of Asia, where millions of good paying US jobs have now gone, then use it to promote people who are just as corrupt and immoral as those they are wanting to remove, its just wrong. Especially since the people they are promoting are for moving more of our jobs offshore and further destroying the working class, the majority of the American public.

Our whole system of Government is just so corrupt and so beholding to corporations that they no longer have any idea how what it means to support and do what is right for America as a country. Democrats, Republicans, Libertarians, Tea Party, Independents, whatever party politicians today want to associate themselves with are all bought and paid for, and work only for corporations. There is no more, "We The People" Our totally corrupt government dominated corporations . Personally, I'm old, and I'm tired of one party bashing the other when they are both just as bad, corrupt and as greedy, and neither have done much for America as a whole in over 30 year , or more. Its disgusting really. You can think what you want about my feelings and opinions here, but one thing is for sure IF you bother to look at the facts, and not just the spin and opinions of the spinners. We are in trouble as a country, and there is no current party that has the right to claim they are better than the other party when it comes to doing good for the American People or the Country.

Randy131| 10.13.10 @ 11:22PM

Term limits will correct all you complain about. This is a Tea Party pet project, lets see how they accomplish it if the Republicans get control. But while you are blaming for national prblems, lets put it where it belongs, out-sourcing was created in response to union coercion on entitlements, was not good enough for their members to be well paid, but wanted their lives supported by their employers instead of taking the high pay and being self-sufficient with their needs.

Stanely J| 10.24.10 @ 12:19AM

I would love to see term limits, but I doubt even the new politicians are going to want to give up such a good job so easily.
As for Unions, I will agree they did do a lot to create the outsourcing problems, but they are not all to blame. There are many factors , corporations, Government policies, Unions, greed, consumers demanding lower prices, etc... Things are not all black and white as some would like to see it.

And , Id like to address Liveaboard, which I assume means Live Abroad?? Although maybe it is live a board? dont know, Anyway, Im sure you can blame all the problems on the democrats and liberals alone, but if you want to be realistic, and have any chance at solving some of these problems we have to get past the petty , my political party can beat up your political party , school yard banter. Yes, everyone you mention have and still do a lot of damage, but the list is just as long on the conservative side as well as the corporate/capitalistic side of the powers that be.
Unless we open our eye and minds to accept that this has been a joint effort going on for more than a few decades, all we will ever get is further divided, more hate, and less accomplished. Which is most likely just what people like Soros( a scum whom I have no understanding as to why liberals admire him), Unions ( who use to keep employees from being screwed, then turned out to screw everyone), CEO's ( who vary from good to pure evil) and Politicians( who may start careers with good intentions, but soon succumb to the temptations of lobbyist and the game of power) want. The oldest trick in the book. Divide and Conquer... Machiavellian.

Agree with me or not, I dont really care. All I wish is that we would all start looking at the facts, not opinions, and decide for ourselves without injecting to much emotion or talk tv or radio host who say things to gain rating shares. A little common sense, good old fashioned logic, and trying to look at all sides of the issue, not just the ones you hate the most, might some day help to fix things. Right now, all we do is drive everyone further apart. Accept we are all different with different view points, and try to find the common thread that can bring us together for a common good. This school yard shouting is getting old and getting us nowhere but deeper in hate. Im sick of it myself.

Stanely, replace every occurrence of the word "corporation" in your lecture, with the words "Hollywood, ACORN, George Soros, Herbert and Marion Sandler, NGOs and Labor Unions" and it will be mostly correct.

Although I've always like Issa, I'll believe this only when I see it happening.

There are much bigger investigations to be completed than the foreign campaign cash angle: 1) The Joe Sestack/Pennsylvania & Colorado Senate Campaign influence peddling and election fixing scandal, and 2) the release of the Lockarbie Bomber and BP/Obama coverup. Also, we can throw on the bonfire the intimidation and price-fixing schemes currently underway at HHS vis-a-vis Obamacare. These are monumental scandals that could easily result in impeachable, if not felonious, offenses.

Right said Fred!

I agree.

"The Republican 'leadership' never misses a chance to miss a chance." - well said, Martin Owens!
