Barry’s Big Apple A-jad Adventure

Our incredibly shrinking president is reduced to playing supplicant to his Iranian counterpart.

Iranian president Mahmoud Ahmadinejad — the Izod Ayatollah who, clad in a cool golf shirt, tan slacks and blue blazer, charms the media — has offered to meet with President Obama when the two are in New York next month at the annual convening of the United Nations General Assembly.

Ahmadinejad said that the two should meet for a face-to-face televised debate. And why not? This is the Iranian “madman” who should be one of the characters in the “Mad Men” television series. He’s so good at manipulating American liberals he clearly relishes the chance at doing it again, this time with Barry as his foil.

In 2006, A-jad had CBS’s old Mike Wallace eating out of his hand and was mau-maued around New York a year later culminating in a televised speech hosted by Columbia University. Now, he wants to chum for another media frenzy that could raise himself to the Simon Cowell level of celebrity and further diminish the U.S. president, if that is even possible. Barry has shrunk so quickly, his feet may no longer touch the floor when he sits behind the big desk in the Oval Office.

And, sigh, Barry is indicating that he may meet with A-jad in September. Obama’s National Security Advisor, Gen. James Jones, said that Obama may be willing to meet with A-jad if the Iranian kakistocracy indicates it is willing to negotiate with the UN’s purblind nuclear watchdog, the IAEA, on Tehran’s nuclear program. Negotiate, not stop, redirect or even agree in advance to international inspection of its disclosed nuclear sites far less those of which — as was the uranium enrichment plant near Qom — we don’t know of.

If the meeting comes off, our Incredible Shrinking President will have surpassed Jimmy Carter in reducing America’s ability to influence world events. Consider how he’s being set up — not only by his own missteps — but by Iran and its closest allies.

Last week, KGB (er, Russian) President Vlad Putin’s regime announced that the Iranian nuclear plant the Russians are building in Iran will go online by the end of this month. The Russian Lukoil firm discharged about 250,000 barrels of much-needed gasoline in Iran last week, and it will continue to ship gasoline to Iran, ensuring its economy will not be affected by the newest round of UN sanctions. China’s Zhuhai Zhenrong state-run oil company is also continuing gasoline sales to Iran.

By pushing the Iranian project to completion and providing the gasoline Iran’s economy must have, Putin is cornering Obama. What little leverage Obama might have had in a meeting with A-jad has evaporated. In any meeting with A-jad, Obama would be reduced to a supplicant.

Obama, like his predecessor, has utterly failed to stop Iran’s interference in Iraq and Afghanistan. A year ago this month, Gen. Stanley McChrystal reported that unless the trend in Afghanistan were reversed within a year, we could face a situation in which defeating the Taliban was no longer possible.

And, in his last quarterly report to Congress submitted in April, McChrystal wrote that Iran’s “lethal assistance” to the Taliban was “most concerning,” and that “Iran’s historical, cultural and economic ties with much of western Afghanistan, its religious affinity with Afghan minority groups, and its extensive border with Afghanistan will ensure that Tehran continues to attempt to influence events in Afghanistan for the foreseeable future.”

Like any supplicant, Obama would have to have some face-saving result from such a meeting. What might A-jad offer that Obama’s media could spin as a positive result? Lots.

Such as a “promise” from Ahmadinejad to “negotiate” with the IAEA on some future disclosures of Iran’s nuclear work. Iran would buy more time for its development of nuclear weapons without having to actually disclose anything.

Or perhaps a “promise” from the Iranian to “help” stabilize Afghanistan. Iran has for years, in Afghanistan and Iraq, directly and indirectly taken the lives of American soldiers. Will Obama the supplicant even raise this issue with Ahmadinejad? If he does, the “concession” will be designed to help Obama spin his failed strategy in Afghanistan.

Those facts are more than enough to prevent any positive result from an Obama/A-jad meeting, but Obama’s own actions further weaken his position going in.

Obama is apparently willing to swallow any bit of Islamic agitprop that appears on his plate. His endorsement of the Ground Zero mosque is just the latest example.

At a White House “iftar” dinner celebrating the Muslim holy month of Ramadan, Obama jumped into the Ground Zero mosque controversy, strongly endorsing the construction of an Islamic “community center” and mosque on the site where a big chunk of the landing gear from one of the airliners that struck the Twin Towers on 9-11 hit the ground.

The Failing President Obama runs his blathering mouth and then qualifies his Mosque position.
This Buffoon is The Peter Principle in action.

Stand Down Boy !

Pablo| 8.16.10 @ 9:40AM

Here here Tim!
btw, you all should check out the idiotic article by Mark Halperin over at Time magazine, where he advises the GOP to "do the right thing" and NOT oppose the Ground Zero mosque. Herewith is my response, for your reading pleasure:

Nice try Mr. Halperin, but even the Republicans are not so incredibly stupid that they won't stand up for "we the people", who are with the victims of 9/11 in our hearts minds and prayers. If you and the TelePrompter In Chief want to bow down at the altar of doggie submission to murderers and their amen corner cloaking themselves in "faith", go right on ahead. YOUR President just made the job of real Americans a whole lot easier this fall. I fervently hope that he keeps on revealing himself to be the heartless, insensitive pig that I always took him for. Besides everything else, its hilarious watching Kool Aid swigging zombies like you scurrying around insisting "nope, nothing to see here"

Mark Shepler- Jupiter FL| 8.16.10 @ 10:33AM

Wrong, wrong, wrong, Tim. We want him talking morning, noon and night about anything and everything under the sun right up until Nov. And he will of his volition for he is a Liberal. You know, the ones who profess to be informed and qualified to pass judgment on it all. His motto could be "I am Liberal, hear me mewl." And he does so with that special contemporary Liberal Liberal mix of aggressive, arrogant ignorance delivered with a condescending sneer towards his countrymen. You could break the house betting that his first response to anything is to blame and hate his own, first. And though he says he means to instruct, itself a marker of dumb arrogance, every time he speaks he tells us what Liberals REALLY think of America and the rest of us. It is our patriotic duty to stand by and let him.

KyMouse| 8.16.10 @ 3:27PM

I've been hearing the nightly news call the future mosque a "prayer center." Last night, ABC News called it a "community center."

Right. Just like the Y, or a Boys and Girls Club.

What a weird world this will be when we start hearing the call to prayer wafting over the heads of visitors walking toward the WTC site.

Jonathan| 8.17.10 @ 5:33AM

Let the world see this Muslim ape for who he is. Let his banjo lips keep talking!

Will we have a September Surprise instead of October?

Anna Maria Bertollucci| 8.16.10 @ 10:30AM

I must say that Ahmadinijad is a sexy man.

His thick, heavy eyebrows are beautiful. Scroll back up and take a look.

Thick eyebrows are definitely an important component of a handsome masculine face. Although, he's not altogether handsome, he is certainly good-looking, and, in my opinion, quite sexy.

Eric Cartman| 8.16.10 @ 12:37PM

Anna! Look at me. Focus! LSD and blogging don't mix! Don't look down at the floor! Go to your safe place! Go to your safe place!

Anna Maria Bertollucci| 8.16.10 @ 9:25PM

And I think Mel Gibson--that notorious, obscene, profane abuser of women--is handsome, though as a person he is a monster. No, I do not appreciate the character of Passion-of-the-Christ Mel Gibson.

But . . . he's still a handsome man. Got it?

Albert| 8.16.10 @ 5:52PM

I am curious as just WHY you "must say" this. What compels you to embarrass yourself in this manner? In what way is your opinion of A-Jad's "sexiness" at all relevant? I am quite positive that many of Adolf Hitler's SS killers at Auschwitz were "good-looking" and "quite sexy." You know, blond hair, square jaw, tall, muscular, confident. Do you have similar opinions of other such "men?" Is what such people do of any interest to you at all? Does a man's actions have any impact on your opinion? Are you insane, perhaps?

BackToBasics| 8.16.10 @ 8:24PM

Burkas are sexy too; especially the black ones that only have a slit for the eyes.

BackToBasics| 8.16.10 @ 8:35PM

Ahmadinijad says Sharia Law forbids a woman to speak about such things to or about any man except her husband.

Stephanie| 8.16.10 @ 7:15AM

The incredible shrinking president. I like that.
Does that mean he will eventually disappear?

Mimi| 8.16.10 @ 8:15PM

Hi Stephanie,......He's slipping fastand more than shrunk! The latest is yea, the mosque thing...But more worrisome for both him and Hillary is financing the Imam's trip.
Did the folks at the State Dept., " Pass a Cup" at the office with their own funds or did the tax payer cough it up? If thats the case ....2 democrats dis not honor their oath and vow to the CONSTITUTION...Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton.
According to the landmark decision argued on
Nov. 20, 1947 and came out Feb. 10, 1947 EVERSON v. BOARD of EDUCATION, Justice Hugo Black stated clearly the Gov. can not financially openly or secretly participate in the affairs of any religious org. (330 U.S.)... Is the Imam and his wife over there on our NICKEL??

Who Obama is ...is glaringly obvious by now to any American with above room temperature IQ.

We simply must ham-string him with a Republican congress this fall.

Albert| 8.16.10 @ 5:55PM

By your measurement, one must conclude that Obama is not "self-aware", as it were. Sounds right to me.

JP| 8.16.10 @ 7:34AM

Things are quite rotten when HRC (Hillary Rodham Clinton) begins to look very good. And I have had the feeling for at least 8-10 months that if things continue to slide south, The Anointed One will discover that he needs to spend more time with his family. Behind closed doors he will tell Hillary, this job is yours. You can have it; you can have the impedning financial collapse, the foreign crisis, and security threats. And enjoy the social unrest I created for you. Have it all. I'm out of here!."

And the GOP will be clueless. Hillary will be our next President, and the GOP will run Congress with a near filibuster proof majority in the Senate (the Dems will have to defend 25 seats in 2012. You will see a rush for the exists in both parties. Look for a lot of newbies come 2013).

Alan Brooks| 8.16.10 @ 7:47AM

"Will we have a September Surprise instead of October?"

I didn't think about that, Appleby-- you are looking ahead. Just one question, though-- how are libertarians going to squirm their way out of this? how can they justify Ahmadinejad's actions? unless they think someday he will solve the population problem in the region by starting a big war.
Let's see, you libertarians: how about starting with this, "what America did in 1953 (fifty seven years ago) was an imperialist machination designed to..."

Louis Jenkins| 8.16.10 @ 8:12AM

Just last week we had an article on this website on how Obama needs to say NO to the mosque. The respondents loudly said he should not, and true to form he did. With leadership like that who needs world wide enemies. The Pretender n Chief is doing enough damage on his own. Can't wait until Nov.

martin j smith| 8.16.10 @ 8:22AM

Here is the problem: Russia and China. If both of these nations were not supportinbg Iran and their Military buildup the problems Iran presents would not exist. It is Russia and China that are the real issues. Dealing with Akhmahwhoever is a pure waiste of time. Its Russia and China.

Sam Vaughn| 8.16.10 @ 8:35AM

The following facts about Islam are objectively true:

1. Islam is the most violent religion in the world. Almost every point of contact between Islam and other religions, or secular government, is damp with blood.

2. Most Muslims do not commit violent acts. There are over a billion Muslims in the world, and several million living in the United States. If the majority of them were killers, the situation would be far worse than it is.

3. Few Muslim leaders of any stature will unequivocally condemn violence in the name of Islam. Those who do deserve great respect, but there aren’t nearly enough of them. The imam behind the Cordoba House project, Faisal Abdul Rauf, is a Hamas sympathizer who refuses to describe them as “terrorists.” Isn’t it striking that the man heading up the highest-profile Islamic project in the Western world has such nuanced views about a murderous terror organization which fires rockets at Israeli civilians, from behind Palestinian human shields? Was there really nobody else who could have headed up this expensive exercise in outreach and understanding?

4. Islam is profoundly intolerant of other religions, within areas it dominates. Its holy sites and holy cities are scoured clean of Christian and Jewish houses of worship. When other religions are permitted in Islamic countries, they must operate under severe restrictions. Clearly Muslims have no difficulty with the concept of hallowed ground.

5. The Islamic religion was deeply involved in the 9/11 terror attacks, and other bloody atrocities around the world. Muslims around the globe celebrated the attacks, as you could readily see for yourself, if Western media did not suppress the video so effectively. Many Muslims did not celebrate, and doubtless many of them loathe the horrors perpetrated in the name of their faith… but their objections are muted.

It is a denial of simple reality to insist these attacks represented a “tiny minority of extremists” hijacking the religion, as politicians from George Bush onward have done. Excusing and enabling the worst instincts of a frequently dangerous faith is not doing anyone any favors… least of all peaceful Muslims, who have the same relationship with the violent elements as decent people trapped in a gang-infested neighborhood.

What percentage of any given belief system must turn violent before we consider the problem might lie with the system itself? Acknowledging such a problem is not the same thing as saying it cannot be solved. Indeed, recognizing a problem is generally seen as the first step toward resolving it.

6. Islam endorses religious dominance over the secular world, through a strict code of laws. It’s not just a religion. It’s also a political system, with many points of divergence from pluralistic democracy. We’re currently at war with one Islamic theocracy in the mountains of Afghanistan, while another conspires to commit war crimes against U.S. troops in Iraq. What other religion sponsors theocracies in the modern world?

Harry the Horrible| 8.16.10 @ 9:41AM

Regarding item 2, "Most Muslims do not commit violent acts...." I would like to point out that there are between seven and nine soldiers doing logistics and support work for each front line combatant (its worse in the USAF...).
Not to mention the thousands of taxpayer behind every soldier...
So, yes, "Most Muslims do not commit violent acts," but a lot of those "peaceful" Muslims represent the support, logistics, and financial base for the "violent" Muslims.

Ryan| 8.16.10 @ 11:49AM

I heard a halfway decent argument the other day - we'll let the Muslims use our freedom of speech and religion and property in this case when they allow it in their own lands.

Emma| 8.17.10 @ 6:10AM

They would have much in common to discuss:
Obama & Ahmadinejad both, clearly:
1: Hate Israel
2: Hate America
3: Muslim
4: Foreign Citizens
5: Habitual Liars
6: Wannabe Dictators
Should be a great debate. Dems should be proud.
PS: I bet aBarak would even like to slap some Sharia Law on Michelle as the dude is clearly P- Whipped.

WilliamInWien| 8.16.10 @ 9:10AM

The "Cordoba House" issue is problematic across a spectrum. It is a "local issue" that has national consequences. Obama's intrusion into the issue highlights the fact that the federal government knows better than the state what is "right". The fact that this "mosque" is actually attracting supporters within the US is a "win" for the islamists who require "useful idiots" to achieve their goals. Any US effort to increase the "pressure" by the IAEA on Iran is futile despite our funding level. At the IAEA, process is progress. Both Russia and the PRC play off Iran against the US and therefore illustrate the current weakness in the US foreign policy, as directed by BHO and HRC. BHO agreeing to meet with A-Jad would elevate A-Jad from the terrorist he is and strengthen his hand in Iran and the Middle East. Finally, should BHO actually agree to meet with A-jad, the question remains: Will he bow or genuflect as he offers his "open hand" in understanding. Would BHO dare to ask about those three US hikers?

the incompetent won is a huge fan of such great contributors to the formation of OUR United States as chavez, kastro, pootin, jiabow, caw-many, moo-moo ineedajob and abs-dollah. he also bowed to the emperor of Japan, no doubt because he was thinking of an old style Roman imperator and not the powerless ceremonial figurehead now sitting upon the Chrysanthemum Throne. What all of these, with the exception of Akihito, have in common is that they all, in practice if not fact, head dictatorial regimes. Guess what “dreams of my daddy’ and ‘rules for (bound) radicals’ are blueprints for. I can find no other commonality between the loonie kommies who make up the lord of flies supporters and the edicts of sharia law against homosexuality, adultery, gambling and alcohol. However, when I imagine ma-shellfish (michelle + selfish), nanny botoxic or bill’s hilly wearing burqas, the world does seem a slightly better place.

There’s a link on Drudge this morning that Zsa Zsa Gabor, who is currently in hospital due to complications from hip surgery, has asked for a priest to administer last rites. Not being expert on the religion of pieces, I have no idea if they practice anything similar. But I imagine that if they do, having a mosque in the neighborhood with a hamas loving imam would prove quite expedient before a day’s work spreading bits of infidel all over Manhattan.

The temptation is to really enjoy the Bamster’s incompetence. But, then, reality comes back into focus and you realize that this guy is not done yet with degrading the presidency with statements like the one endorsing the Ground Zero mosque one day and the next day backpedaling on his endorsement. Then, there is news of a possible meeting with that Iranian loon president in that anti-American clubhouse in New York and the picture gets even uglier. The question arises: when and where will this all end? Except for the usual second string dem party activists talking about Obama as if they are mentally stuck in the glory year of ‘08 one notices that the dem A-list activists have been very quiet of late. Do they know what’s coming, one supposes? You bet they do.

Mikey| 8.16.10 @ 10:20AM

I get the feeling Obama wants to meet with the dictator from Iran to get ideas on what to do here in America. He does after all, consider himself the One. The ultimate ruler of America. Nothing good will come of this meeting to be sure. And, as far as the mosque comment: No surprise for me there. One thing you can count on from Obama; if it is AGAINST THE WILL of the American people, he is for it. Enough said.

Emma| 8.17.10 @ 6:12AM

He's probably just hiding in plain sight. I'maDinnerJacket is his handler, and it's time for him to report and get updated instructions.

"Ahmadinejad -- and Putin, Hu Jintao and every other enemy we have -- see Obama's vulnerability to any claim made in the name of Islam and take advantage of it at every opportunity."

That's the bottom line, isn't it?

But I thought Obama said he was a Christian! Ha. A Muslim in Christian's clothing? He is as blind as he is foolish if he thinks we can't see through him.

I thank him once again for opening the eyes of the American people to not only what a Leftist Democrat is, but also to the true beliefs of the Muslim. The true Muslim will NEVER stand with America. An honest Muslim will repent and stand for freedom.

Now more than ever we must hound the Democrats~who harbor such men as these along with every other form of hating America~whether it be Socialism Liberalism or Communism~ hound them out of office, by voting for the OPPOSITION party. Are there any anti-American, America haters in the Republican party? Are there any Communists? Is there a one who is FOR this mosque abomination being built on sacred ground? If there is I know not of him or her and if there is they ought to be voted out in disgrace. Has it been made any clearer who and what this Democrat party is?
Thanks again Obama~ you're doing the job God sent you to do to prove to the country what your party stands for and it stands against freedom, it stands against America.

I think that even the Ground Zero Mosque might not be a big issue if it were not for Iran supported by--that is right Russia and China. Iran if you consider the situation is the key State- a Client State to be sure--that is the elephant in the room. The room could be existential or the so called United Nations etc. They are allowed to threaten Israel. This in itself is significant. Where is Russia the peace loving Putin ? Where is China ? Another gang of thugs ? ( oh did I metnion Human rights ? ) oh well ? I maintain--Iran, as a client state, supporting terrorism world wie, supported by two large powers --that is what we are not dealing with--including under Bush by the way. Also the EU. This why we are where we are.

dw| 8.16.10 @ 12:27PM

All Chamberlain, I mean Obama, has to do is show the proper submission to Iran, China and Russia and he will be able to hold up a peice of paper and declare we will have peace in our time. It worked for England.
We are, after all, an imperialistic nation that has committed genocide on countless millions of our citizens and treat our dogs better than our women and threaten to nuke the entire world if we are not allowed to take it over.
You go girl.....

SpiralArchitect| 8.16.10 @ 5:22PM

Many like to blast Chamberlain and some compare B.O. to him as well.

Chamberlain ( it is perhaps controverisal to some, as we are not mind readers) knew his nation was not in any position to enter a war. I believe he was buying time to prepare his nation for what was foreseen by many, likely himself as well, the impending war. The time was used, in part, to brace a nation for another war - be it through intel, military preperations both man power and mechanical and mental preperation for a nation that was not so far removed from 'the war to end all wars'.

I am not saying he was a supreme leader that instilled confidence and courage into a nation like so many other leaders abroad have... Simply that he likely was nut as much a dunce as he is currently presented as - he is no Barack Obama.

dw| 8.16.10 @ 7:27PM

While I appreciate your perspective you are just wrong. Winston Churchill did everything he could to warn the Chamberlain gov. and all of England of the impending doom that was Hitler. Chamberlain was a typical leftist who shirked his responsibility to have England in a strong position to counter Hitler's ever growing danger. Leaders anticipate problems not react to them. If England had maintained a strong military presence and was further prepared to confront Germany when they took first Austria and then Czeckoslovakia they probably would not have been kicked off the european mainland when they finally had to fight after Hitler invaded Poland. Chamberlain and his supporters will always have a place of blame for not stopping Hitler before he got started.
Peace through strength does work to stop evil.

Mimi| 8.16.10 @ 10:02PM

Peace through strength should be used in this Mosque controversy. Here we are at war...why?..
Ground Zero. What cost? lives and treasure.
This idea to allow a victory marker near our sacred ground is illogical. I pray those who see the truth in the warped motives will remain STRONG in their opposition. To me this is SPIT and in our face.....The first battle with a deceptive enemy.

I don't believe that Obama is being "set up". Obama is a muslim and most likely agrees with the goals of Ahmadinejad to dominate Israel and the West in general. Obama celebrates Ramadan, but, avoids Christmas (no gifts for kids at Christmas), and covers up all symbols of Christianity when making speeches at Christian universities. He'll make no meaningful demands of Ahmadinejad because he believes in the muslim cause of world-wide religious and political domination. Remember, Obama is here on assignment with the goal of diminshing America's economic and political prominance in the world. He is succeeding.

And yes, I too agree w/Sam Vaughan's statements regarding Islam, which is why Islam should be outlawed in America. Religious freedom is all well and good, as long as that religion does not conflict with our Constitutional rights of free speech and freedom of religion. Clearly, Islam is at odds with our liberties. Chritians, by contrast, created the document that gives us those liberties. Again, we do not need to be "tolerant" to the point of cultural and societal suicide.

Jim O'Brien| 8.16.10 @ 3:36PM

While a peaceful religious organization has the right to buy property and build a church, temple, synagogue, or mosque, by picking this time and place to build a mosque (NYC) the organizers are giving us the middle finger, showing their brotherhood with the bloodthirsty Islamic terrorists who are guilty of killing thousands of Americans at home and around the world.

Obama has forbidden his national security people from using references to radical Islamic terrorists, as if to pretend that Islam is not a threat. We keep hearing that the vast majority of Muslims disagree with terrorism, but out of more than a billion Muslims in this world, all I hear is a deafening silence from them, instead of a loud condemnation of the terrorists killing thousands of our soldiers, civilians, and people of all nationalities around the world --- on buses, subways, night clubs, office buildings, airplanes, theaters, schools, hotels, embassies, dirt roads, and busy streets. How many rocket attacks have the Islamic terrorists launched against Israel? How many people have they stoned to death? How many children have been butchered by Islamic terrorists?

It is probably wrong to say that all Muslims are guilty by association, but most are not lifting a finger to stop terrorism.

Americans should fully understand that the long history of Islam is about the merger of church and state with the goal of world domination, and if you live under a government controlled by Muslims you had better be a Muslim, not a Christian, Jew, Buddhist, or any other "infidel". Nothing could be more hostile to our heritage and Constitutional right to individual and religious freedom.

I'm waiting for Obama to bless sharia courts in the United States, since he has so little regard for our Constitution. When he took the oath of office, to "preserve, protect and defend the Constitution", he lied.

Sorry, Jim - He's the one reminding us of our Constitution. It's the likes of you who remember it only when it suits your purpose.

The Ayatollah Khomeini said, "Islam is politics or it is nothing." Bernard Lewis, famous scholar of Islam has said, " In the universal Islamic polity as conceived by Muslims, there is no Caesar but only God, who is the sole sovereign and sole source of the law." Lewis also has written, "The very notion of something that is separate or even separable from religious authority, expressed in Christian languages by terms such as lay, temporal, or secular, is totally alien to Islamic thought and practice."

This is fundamentally opposed to our separation of church and state. The history of Islam is to merge the two, which means Islam is hostile to religious and individual freedom.

Yes, but the American Constitution is not.

ajad should never be permitted to set foot in this country again.....UN or no UN.

OUR PRESIDENT IS AN ENEMY OF THE STATE

NavyBrat | 8.16.10 @ 4:37PM

"A nation can survive its fools, and even the ambitious. But it cannot survive treason from within. An enemy at the gates is less formidable, for he is known and carries his banner openly. But the traitor moves amongst those within the gate freely, his sly whispers rustling through all the alleys, heard in the very halls of government itself. For the traitor appears not a traitor; he speaks in accents familiar to his victims, and he wears their face and their arguments, he appeals to the baseness that lies deep in the hearts of all men. He rots the soul of a nation, he works secretly and unknown in the night to undermine the pillars of the city, he infects the body politic so that it can no longer resist. A murderer is less to fear. The traitor is the plague."...Cicero

Bet ole Marcus Tullius Cicero had NO IDEA he was predicting the future. Then again, liberals from then & now aren't too different.

ShortNSweet| 8.16.10 @ 4:35PM

Obama is a muslim. He sympathizes with his "Kenyan Father's" kind. He condemns "National Day of Prayer" with the cover-up of the "sake of religious freedom" and "not discriminating against any religion"...like that Day is for one particular religion. And yet he hosts muslim's for ramadan and will sit an talk with "madmen" such Amadenajad and Chavez! He's a muslim! He can tell a lie at the drop of a hat if it suits him.
The hope for our beloved country is that he leaves the presidency before it's too late and the damage is done!
God Bless This Great Nation! As we repent and pray! And true from our wicked ways and You hear from heaven and heal our land! (2Chr7:14)

With regards to President I'mADinnerJacket, I keep waiting for Mossad to stamp "paid" on his account. Maybe they can use my personal Mossad special, the exploding cell phone gag. Reach out & touch someone!

NavyBrat | 8.16.10 @ 4:57PM

Sorry:

"My personal FAVORITE Mossad special..."

John II| 8.16.10 @ 7:05PM

Oh. Damn. And I was going to order one.

SpiralArchitect | 8.16.10 @ 5:09PM

Valid points, all.

When Hill Rod nearly vanished from public view and some unkown became so popular I really wondered what sort of (shady?) 'backroom' deals had been made...

Unfortunately, the POTUS is B.O. and he stinks!

Nice image of the shrinking Professor's feet no longer touching the floor from his presidential chair.

Does anyone else recall the presidential portrait of Jimmy Carter by the great MacNelly? I mean, the diminutive image of Carter dangling by his hands from the bottom portion of an ornate frame?

Michael Ramirez, if you're reading this, I hope you're already dreaming up a definitive portrait of the Professor. If anyone can top the MacNelly interpretation of Carter, you were born for the job.

LWD | 8.16.10 @ 10:17PM

To those who draw comparisons between Obama to Carter, based on their shared inability to either establish or conduct effective foreign policy, I must point out a crucial, ontological difference. Carter was just a hick. Obama, however, is an urban hick. Although very similar in net operating results, the two register very differently according to their respective indexes of ennoblement.

Just as the proverbial monkey after his intimate incounter with the skunk , Obama will have had all of A-jab that he could enjoy !

Meet?

Meet?

Well, they could compare birth certificates - for a bit of levity?

LOL.

Michele San Pietro| 8.25.10 @ 5:54PM

The world has really gotten crazy if even the American Spectator calls criminal Adhmadinejad "president of Iran". He is not a president, he's a dictator!
