Listen to the Quiet Anger

Repeal, rebellion, and replacement. Plus much more.

POST ON THE DOOR
Re: James P. Gannon’s America’s Quiet Anger:

Excellent.

I am forwarding this to people to put on their kitchen refrigerators.

We will remember in November.
David Gardner

You could not have expressed my feelings any better. We should post this article on the door to the White House, but do you really think any of our government leaders would read it?
— Art Ostendorf
Cincinnati, Ohio

Thank you for James P. Gannon’s article in Spectator online. He is correct. November is coming.
- Dave Mace

Excellent! Excellent piece of journalism! Thank you for printing it!

I’ve read a lot of words over the months that try to describe the current predicament of today’s American; but James P. Gannon’s piece is by far the best I’ve read. It doesn’t take a whole lot of words to accurately describe something, just the right ones.
— Stephen Field

Regarding November 2010, which so many are breathlessly counting on: Eighty percent of voting is by machine. Their manufacture is in the hands of two (really one) private companies. The technology for remote manipulation of these machines exists and can be easily employed in close elections. Prediction: November 2010 will see a couple test manipulations in close local elections. November 2012 is the main target.

Amen brother, I am one of those Americans you speak of. My wife and I raised and educated two children, paid taxes, bought insurance, always met our mortgage bill, even when I was out of work twice for a period of almost two years. We lived within our means, bought necessities like insurance FIRST, not last. Now, retired, with pensions, and savings we worked all our lives for, we see the government taxing us to pay for deadbeats. As you say, we are mocked by the likes of Stewart, Maher, Olbermann, jerks who have no concept of who we are, except as caricatures of bumpkins. It may be silly, but I do go to bed and get up angry, as do many of our family and friends in similar situations. We are not rich but we are not stupid but well informed enough to see we are getting the shaft from Obama and the lefties running the government such as that harridan, Pelosi.
— Gary

Great piece by James Gannon.

I am an Ivy-educated, boomer, raised in the sixties, marched, revolted etc. — BUT I grew up!

Mr. Gannon so aptly expresses my sentiments.

“Seething” would be another word to describe my frustration and anger.

Thank you.

Dear Janiegirl:

“Just because you didn't get your way, don't be a spoil sport”

Look who’s talkin’. The Bush-Gore 2000 election was (do the math!) TEN YEARS AGO. A whole lot has happened since then; but the Dem’s go around bitchin’ about it to this day. The haughty Dem’s went to court to manipulate the system AND THEY LOST! Gee, the Dem’s threw a punch and the GOP fought back—imagine that. As the old poker player said: “If you didn’t want to play that kind of game, Sonny, you should have never played those cards.”

As, Janiegirl surely notices in other contexts, debate over public policy is always a continuing two-way affair. Just because one side achieves a legislative win doesn’t mean the other party can’t work to repeal the law or reform the law in ways that change its essential character.

Obama and the Dems have managed to pass an unpopular law. The anger is real. A whole mess of folk believe that Obamacare—whatever its intentions—will be bad for this country. So, dreary, they’re formin’ a posse to head it off at the pass. Deal with it.

Good luck repealing anything once Americans realize the misinformation, deceit and bald-faced lies that the Republicans have been spewing for a year...

Regarding West Virginia resident L. James’ point on the possibility of tampering with voting machines to achieve favorable electoral results: the issue is not the manufacturers, but the local officials who set up, tabulate, and certify the results. That’s what’s behind Soros’ Secretary of State project. http://www.discoverthenetworks.....grpid=7487

Exactly, SC Mike, and they've been working on those radicals in position of Sec. of States -- been working on that for a long, long time.

Also note the numbers of questionable voter regs. in Ohio alone -- registrations done by ACORN.

And don't be fooled by the new names. According to one source, the groups haven't changed their tax id numbers.

The Week In Review – How Will The Republicans Get Their Grove Back? Who Or What, Is Stopping RNC Chairman Michael Steele, From Pitching That Huge GOP Party Tent? Why is Tucker Carlson Firing Into That Same Tent?

I don’t as a rule critique Republicans.

You people will run another Bush in 2012,
the GOP is too conflicted and compromised.

And the rednecks! they are not conservatives-- they are savages.

Majito| 4.3.10 @ 7:48AM

Don't wait 'til November to vote...don't forget primaries...just picking someone that the local machine has blessed does not mean a change in the right direction. and to Alan Brooks, hope your daughter marries a redneck that way you can have savage grandkids...what a clown you are with that ignorant comment...i rather hang out with rednecks that with the self-appointed-priests-of-reason-stuffed-shirts any day of the week...

People will find out the elitist defeatist party are out for power and they do not care what the results of there lies and deceit are, Tea paries United inform boycott and if necessary Picket .

Oldefarte| 4.4.10 @ 11:40AM

The proper release for this'quiet anger' is the November+ elections; and I hope that the American taxpayer-voters have the courage, stamina, and conviction to express that 'quiet anger' accordingly!!!!!!!!!!

Louis Jenkins| 4.4.10 @ 11:44AM

http://michellemalkin.com/2010.....t-the-rnc/

And we wonder why there is suspicion towards the RNC, that many who post here are in favor of a third party, and others just say "throw out all the bums."

Time for pause and thought. Hmmmm.....

Louis Jenkins

Oldefarte| 4.4.10 @ 2:55PM

I fail to see the [direct] connection between the Steele/RNC problem and this editorial about public anger [over mainly ObamaDemocrats usurption of power and demonizing Americans]. If getting rid of the RNC chairman would solve our problems, there would be nothing to lose sleep over. America's problems are much deeper than that!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
