Living on the Eastern Shore of Maryland I am graced with two teams to root for. The Washington Nationals will almost certainly march to a 90 loss season and Manager Jim Riggleman will be fired but this would be a marked improvement over last year's desultory squad. Hopefully, the Nats won't trade Adam Dunn at the trade deadline. His batting behind Ryan Zimmerman has helped the latter immensely. As for the Orioles, they have a fine line-up with young, talented and largely unproven pitchers. Likely, a terrible bullpen will limit the Orioles' ceiling at .500, an improvement from last year. Hope abounds for both teams yet both will be out of the playoff contention by June 21, the first day of Summer.

Your prediction for the Cubs is spot on. GM Jim Hendry will be fired by the All Star Break. This will be Lou Pinella's last season, and it will be interesting to see what happens to Greg Maddux (assistant GM), and Ryne Sandberg (currently manages a AA farm team). The new owner will have his work cut out for him.

Generally, I agree with Aaron. I would say that Jason Heyward (Braves) is the more likely NL Rookie of Year than Alvarez (Pirates).

Cliff Lee's starting the year on the DL. Abdominal muscle problems. Phil's fans like me can tell you how a slow start due to injury can have an adverse effect on an ace's year (see Cole Hamels in 2009). I wish a speedy recovery for for Lee who is a class act.

Braves over Yankees in a classic 7 game series..
Too bad I won't see it, I hate those November Nite games...along with
1:Players wearing there trousers unbloused so they look like pajammas...
2:Batters stepping out of the box after EVERY EFFIN PITCH?? Bob Gibson would have stuck one in A Rod's ear.
3: the lackadaisical first 4 pickoff tosses to first...and I know its to set up the tricky "A" move...still...I'd prefer to be waterboarded. Pickoff attempts should be limited to 2.
4: Foul balls. Should count as a strike no matter what the count.
5: Whatever happened to 480 foot centerfields??? "The Catch" by Willie Mays would just be another impressive homerun nowadays.,,

Reds?! I like the prediction, but I'm not so sure ...

Picknicker1971| 3.31.10 @ 2:27PM

Dear Aaron, Coming from Boston, you can be forgiven for having your head up your..... well, since you blog at TAS, I'll give you the benefit of the doubt and consider you a conservative. One for two ain't bad.
You predicted WHAT about the Yanks in 09? ?Were you on drugs at the time? Take this prediction to the BANK: the Yanks will win the pennant in 2010, NO, they will not lose to the F**** Mariners in six, that's so 1990's crap. The Yanks will repeat in 2010.
AL MVP: Derek Jeter, AL Cy Young: C.C. Sabattithia.
Yankeefan 2010,: See you in 13 days, 14 hours and 5 minutes, when the raise the 2009 Flag at Yankee Stadium. Aaron: Wait till next year.....

How the heck are the Reds in 1st place. What pitching do they have? Harang, Arroyo, Cueto won't do shit. The Cardinals or Brewers will control the top two spots.

Northern Rebel| 4.1.10 @ 3:58PM

Obviously, you live in Seattle, or they are your favorite team, or you are smoking the good shit.

Nelson H.| 4.1.10 @ 4:05PM

No matter what, it is very safe to predict the Giants will fall short. Again. Never mind the pitching staff. Never mind any of it, it is a mirage. There is a mystical force holding them down. 52 seasons in SF, not one World Series winner. This team once had five future HOFers on the squad (1962-66) and still could not win the Series! This team was five runs ahead with eight outs to go, up three games to two, and could not win the Series!

r u retarded how are the padres supposed to be better than the rockies who r second best in the national league. the Padres sucked last season and they haven't gotten better

MKV to iPad | 11.15.10 @ 8:42AM

MKV to iPad is the best solution to sharing MKV files on iPad. As we know, the newly developed iPad can only surport MP4 format, so if you want to play MKV video on iPad, you have to convert MKV to iPad with an additional software. My personal recommendation is to use this MKV to iPad Converter. The biggest difference between this all-in-one MKV to iPad and other similar ones is that it can not onvert general video format to iPad, but can also convert HD video to iPad for sharing high-defination video everywhere mobile movie theater.
