A Federal Offense

Trespassing and intimidation. Tarnishing Palin. Articulate minority politicians. J.D Salinger and more.

One, Obama hasn't a clue about bipartisanship or doesn't want it. I suspect the latter.

Two, Obama views Republicans and conservatives or anyone else who dares question him as his enemies.

Three, endless campaigning and power plays occupy Obama's mind, not governing.

Four, Obama's always playing his community organizer/agitator hand of pitting one group against another.

Five, Obama solidly occupies the position of Whiner-in-Chief and Victim-in-Chief.

Six, Obama and his thugs really do not want America to get out of the economic ditch in which we find ourselves. They really do seek to make America a Third World country.

Seven, Obama really does see himself as a dictator who has all the answers.

Let him and the "progressive" Democrats, liberals and leftists continue their arrogant march. It'll lead them to November's election and loss of the House and Senate -- and the first of a few consecutive elections that will drive the donkeys and their allies from power for a generation or so.

TARNISHED
Re: Daniel Oliver's Reloading:

Palin is indeed extraordinary. Yet, her PAC's mission statement espouses "conservative principles." Does Mrs. Palin define these as voting against tax cuts, allowing illegal aliens a pass, and sponsoring legislation subsequently found unconstitutional by the SCOTUS? Because the "honorable" John McCain signed off on each of the aforementioned policies.

Palin has challenged Obama to "listen to the people." Immediately after announcing she will campaign for the re-election of McCain her Facebook page was inundated with messages from irate people who support her and have donated to SarahPAC as well as to her legal defense fund. Does she not feel obligated to give these people at least an explanation?

Sarah Palin's armor is tarnished, and only she can burnish and restore it. Will she?

Re: HAVING IT ALL
Re: Larry Thornberry's Rubio Outpolls Crist:

I agree, although lately the crist-child's place holder (LeMieux) has been a pleasant surprise.
It is interesting that when I tried to contact the RNC and Chairman Steele in particular on the RNC websites,, there was no way to contact the party or Steele except with blogs. I wanted to make the point that, if we run true conservative Republicans (not RINO's just because "they can win and help retain (or obtain) a majority we will be successful beyond our wildest dreams. I, my wife, and most of our friends and acquaintances agree that, if RINO's are run, the independents will win some landslide victories in November with write-in votes!

IMKessel| 2.5.10 @ 10:21AM

Mr. Tomlinson,

I often agree with your positions, but today I do not. I am one of the many “who thought punishing Republicans in 2006 and 2008 and throwing away elections” was a smart idea. I still do.

I detest where the Democrats have taken this country. But if the electorate had chosen RINO’s, we would be in a similar situation, including the rise of the Tea Party (thank God for the grass roots); the country would not be much, if at all, better than it is now: RINO’s would have rolled over just as easily and quickly as the Blue Dogs have. So, Right now the antipathy, anger and aggression are directed squarely against the Dems, and properly so, but because the Democrats are clearly and unequivocally responsible, the Republican Party may rise again. (A fever sometimes kills the patient but more often it purifies the body; yes, sadly America is suffering, but the body politic is responding and correcting what is wrong. We will come out of this stronger and healthier – what has been broken will be mended.)

As for RINO’s, they can be called Reagan Republican but is a misapplied nomenclature. A Reagan Republican believes in certain and central tenets, moral, philosophical, political and economic. RINO's catergorically do not believe in or adhere to this principles.

I can call myself a cat, but if I lack a tail, fur, whiskers and any feline DNA, I am not truly a cat, no matter how I strongly I claim to be. If one abuses earmarks, opposes a strong military and projection of American power for the purpose of creating a freer and democratic world, one is not a Reagan Republican.

Because Obama, Pelosi, Reid and Company have overplayed their hand, the American public is getting a rough trade lesson in Liberalism/Progressivism and they are fighting back against this immoral, power grabbing administration.

So, the base did “punish” those who wandered and the American public is paying a high price, but the repentant man sings more passionately than those who are once born (to use the term of William James (The Varieties of Religious Experience (1902)). The quality of the new wave of GOP candidates will be a of a more sterling character and offer a purer version of Conservative principles.

Respectfully,

IMKessel

Why do we have to think in terms of Left or Right? Why can't we think in terms of Right or Wrong? Ethical or Unethical? Good for the one, or Good for the many?

IMKessel| 2.9.10 @ 3:44PM

Political orientation often filters the perceptions of action. What may be right from a Leftist or Progressive position may well be considered wrong from the Conservative/Right position. The ideas of right and wrong are not easily divorced from perspective and power.

Obama's stage props, the guys with the white jackets, are here to take you away, to the funny farm, where everything will be alright.
