Deflating Copenhagen

For Ms. Henny-Penny, the news couldn't be worse.

Us: If you believe that, you can believe that a good fairy is going to deliver you a golden egg. That statement of Obama et al. is just talk, just as the Bali conference was two years ago and this one will be in Copenhagen.

Ms. H-P: If our leaders can't see that the sky is falling, I may stay home from that conference.

Us: Now, that's a good idea. Think of all the carbon emissions you'll save. Good night.

(Mr. Hannaford writes from the Northern California coast, which has had another cool year this year.)

The whole global warming nonsense is a hobby that we can no longer afford, and soon it will become a hobby only of the class of people who fly in private jets, own Bugatti Veryons and live in 28,000 square foot homes.

I'll believe in it (human caused global warming) when Al Gore ceases to live large and the carbon credit business is extinct because the former customers are too panicked by the rising sea levels they see from their beach homes.

And that ain't going to happen.

You forgot the word "ice" after "Arctic sea ..." and it should be desertification not decertification.

In the name of global warming or climate change, President Al Naqis intends to divest the United States of its sovereignty using the Copenhagen treaty.

It should be obvious by now that the man who bows to the Japanese Emperor, after the firestorm about the Saudi king and a similar bow, has only contempt for the concept of the nation state. His, and the lefts desire, is to combine through various ploys such as the treaty to create a world governing body. Several members of the administration have actually said as much.

There is real dangers in climate change, but the climate isn't one of them.

Confidence men abound on this issue.
