Not Speaking As a Leader

Despising Obama. Iran and the West. Stupak, Obama’s abandonment and more.

Hear! Hear! Long ago, my wife and I realized the stupidity of a low birth rate. We had two children and then stopped, in order to comply with the gospel of the Zero Population Growthers. Until we realized how precious, blessed, and, yes, how necessary children really are. So we had six more! Paul Ehrlich, the author of The Population Bomb, can go suck eggs (a euphemism). The irony is that my children are paying for his Social Security dividends.
— David Shoup
Dublin, Georgia

SWATTED
Re: Heather Robinson’s Abandoned Under Obama:

“… this policy of appeasement will weaken the United States.”

That is precisely what Obama wants, and if pleasing the mullahs costs Mr. Choudhury his life, so what — he probably means less to Obama than that fly he swatted during his television interview with John Harwood.
— Gretchen L. Chellson
Alexandria, Virginia

THE BEST CONGRESS MONEY CAN BUY
Re: Tom Bethell’s Michael Ledeen on Iran and Democracy:

This article could be about the United States, all you would have to do is change the name of the country. Our regime is also dead, and I am not referring to just the Obama administration. There is little difference between the two major political parties in this country and more and more people are beginning to realize that fact. I think it is just a matter of time and circumstance before a viable third party that embraces the Constitution appears on the scene. That will be the beginning of the end for the two party dictatorship that presently runs this country for the elites. Our politicians are simply a front for the banksters and the other financial elites that control them.

Our system is on the verge of collapse and the only thing propping it up is deficit spending financed by the Chinese who are finally beginning to wise up to the fact that we are never going to be able to pay then back. Will Rogers said it best many years ago; “we have the best Congress money can buy”.
— Paul Martell

BILLING FOR THE BULLET
Re: Philip Klein’s Government Health Care is a Double-Edged Sword:

Everyone enjoys a good irony until it is his ox that is gored.

The Democrats/Socialists of Congress who object to tax payers paying for abortions also miss the irony of China’s policy of billing the family for the bullet used to execute state prisoners.
— I.M. Kessel

Don't make the mistake of Bush's detractors who attacked him as a "Hitler"; such was similar to today attacking Obama as a "Marxist".

C.K. Amos| 11.12.09 @ 9:25PM

Thanks for the advice, but I did not "attack" Obama.

Though, God knows, he has many many thin-skinned surrogate whiners who look for offense, doesn't he, that even the slightest observation about Obama is construed as attack?

As Stephen Zierak suggested, though in different words, Obama's political breeding is red, even by his own words. Nothing Obama's done since being elected has shown he wants to change his colors to red, white and blue.

Alan Brooks| 11.12.09 @ 11:31PM

and Michael Moore never "attacked" Bush;
when Moore released Fahrenheit 911 it was "constructive criticism".

Alan Brooks| 11.12.09 @ 11:38PM

btw, not to praise that film in any way, IMO 'Bowling For Columbine' was far FAR better-- it is almost worth purchasing.

Why even argue with you? You obviously are oblivious and refuse to acknowledge the POTUS is exactly what he is showing us he is. Sadly, most people like you will wake up one day and wonder how we got into this mess. By then it'll be too late and your worship of this man will leave you with much regret for not seeing what so many people are warning. He is a Marxist, if not by his own words, by his own actions. No one is attacking or slandering him. He is displaying who he is for everyone to see. If his approval from Fidel Castro is not enough to send shivers up your spine, then no one can make you see reality. Unfortunately for the rest of us who DO LOVE THIS COUNTRY, we can only watch and hope this man does not completely destroy it. Michael Moore? Really? This is who you rely upon? A man who contrary to popular beliefs is moved by greed and fame. If he really believes what he claims he should put his money where his mouth is. It is easy to tell others how to live when one is living in luxury. Hollywood elitist and hypocrites. I guarantee they are taking their monies and investing it where they know it is protected. The rest of us will watch our dreams and retirement hopes crumble. You sir, will only have yourself to blame. Blind and dumb.

Stephen Zierak| 11.12.09 @ 10:37AM

Calling Obama a Marxist is NOT the same as attacking Bush as Hitler. Read Obama's books! He has honored Marxists, hung out with Marxists, and has now appointed Marxists to White House positions. I don't think you will find any such Bush involvements with neo-Nazis. If it looks like a duck, waddles like a duck, and quacks like a duck--it's a duck! We don't need any irrational moral equivalency arguments here.

Jim O'Brien| 11.12.09 @ 1:02PM

If Obama did not have to deal with elections and the Supreme Court, he would nationalize all major industries, outlaw private medical insurance, and much much more ........ he would throw the Constitution in the trash can.

Alan Brooks| 11.12.09 @ 8:16PM

"I don't think you will find any such Bush involvements with neo-Nazis."

Of course he does, neoNazis (white supremacists) are as common as Marxists, though they might not be as destructive as Marxists; 21 st century neoNazis just want to breed a master race socially-- but no longer politically. They're not so stupid to think anymore that they can take over the world.

C.K. Amos| 11.12.09 @ 9:15PM

"Of course"? Prove it, sir. That and your assertion that "neo-Nazis are as common as Marxists."

Alan Brooks| 11.12.09 @ 11:49PM

"Of course"? Prove it, sir. That and your assertion that "neo-Nazis are as common as Marxists."

prove? Only Daphne Kenward and Daffy Duck think something can be proved.

"neoNazi" has sinister overtones-- but today neoNazi merely means a guy wants to sleep with blond women and breed 'aryan' children. The positive side is he wants to send them to good schools. Who says white supremacists are all wrong about everything?: Writing so would be PC.

maria| 11.21.09 @ 11:07AM

"prove? Only Daphne Kenward and Daffy Duck think something can be proved. "

Someone that would actually imply there are no absolute truths is a moron. I say that with absolute conviction and the proof for what I say is in your statement.

Sangano!

maria| 11.21.09 @ 11:08AM

By the way it's "proven" not proved...

C.K. Amos| 11.12.09 @ 9:26PM

Thanks for the reply. Couldn't get to friendly computer until tonight.

Want to wager? no, because none of you, save for Daphne Kenward, is a dope. And she appears to have ceased blogging at AS-- the nurse is mixing an extra 2 milligrams of haldol into her mashed potatoes.

Our system has always been a full contact sport. If you think that todays invective is rough, I suggest you read from yesteryear, particularly about Grover Cleveland and Andrew Jackson. Today we are positively genteel, in comparison. Code Duello, anyone?
