Valerie Jarrett's Show

Van Jones was not an isolated hire but a key cog in Obama's chief diversity operative's government-wide operation.

"If you can't get Congress to act on the Fairness Doctrine, the FCC can go it alone. So instead of having a conservative radio station and forcing it to give equal time, we have a diversity program that gives an African-American owner the chance to launch a station that might better represent the views of a community," says the former transition aide.

Jarrett also had a hand in recruiting Obama friend Cass Sunstein, a former colleague of the president's at the University of Chicago Law School, and now administrator of the Office of Information and Regulatory Affairs within the Office of Management and Budget. Known inside the White House as the "Regulation Czar," Sunstein is tasked with developing regulations around the policies for environmental, healthcare, and safety issues.

According to administration sources, Sunstein's office is looking for ways to impose through the regulatory process those Obama White House health care, environmental, and labor policies that do not survive the legislative process.

"The goal from this White House is to have as much nonspecific language passed by Congress in policy areas like health care and the environment and then use Sunstein's office to put in place the regulatory language called for by Congress that gets us to where we want to be.  It may very well be the most important job in this administration, given the lack of success we may have on Capitol Hill," says a White House source.

This is a clever group. Was VanJones simply hired as the sacrificial lamb so the rest of the loony Czars could survive and thrive? Or perhaps Obama is as stupid as many claim and the next 3 years and 9 months will be filled with consternation, turmoil and circular troop movements.

Read more about Valerie Jarrett. This is why she couldn't take the Senate seat. Just follow the money, people. All roads lead to Rome.

those who were awake before the election knew that Obama was a radical--the information was there in broad daylight including his own statements during the campaign as well as well known past associations. All of the czars are problematical for me because there is no accountability except to one man. Obama yearns for total power --this is who he is and this is the Democratic.

Richard Baker| 9.8.09 @ 7:57AM

The Kenyan wants a Politburo or Presidium with himself as Leonid Brezhnev. The problem is that the Kenyan doesn't have the proper eyebrows for the job.

Nick in Virginia| 9.8.09 @ 9:06AM

Martin J Smith is right-on in his comment above. 0bama is going to find ways around the Congress (even though it is controlled by the Democrats, not all of them agree with 0bama's policies, and Reid and Pelosi have both already said they don't work for him, so cooperation is obviously at a minimum).

But now that the MSM has had to follow Fox's lead on this one corrupt appointee (Jones), they can not ignore subsequent similar information about others when they get uncovered. So the Jones resignation is beginning to shed light on Jarrett, and all that she is doing. This can only hurt 0bama's "master plan".

Marc Jeric| 9.8.09 @ 9:36AM

For better understanding of what is happening to us let me translate:
1) community organizations were known in the USSR as local soviets and in the satelites as block committees;
2) What we call the White House czars were known in communist dictatorships as komissars.
Are the things getting clearer?

Bobby beard| 9.8.09 @ 9:55AM

I submit to all, that any advertising pulled from Glenn Beck's program must be reinstated with a public apology. Apparently Glenn beck was correct in all his assertions about Van Jones...why the boycott???

Deborah D| 9.8.09 @ 10:01AM

And the media wonder why parents don't want their children to listen to an Obama speech. Guess what Obama and company -- we don't trust you.

JP| 9.8.09 @ 10:04AM

Bobby,
Advertisers have the right to pull thier ads. However, one wonders how many will regret it from a financial point of view. His show still is very popular, and ratings are some of the highest for his time segment. The advertisers are obviously missing out. Thier loss, but thier competitor's gain.

Corroborate last paragraph and its taps for Obama. Clear circumvention of the confirmation process, advice/consent, Constitution, etc. More grist for Beck!

bullwhacker| 9.8.09 @ 11:06AM

To be clear, read next to last paragraph, ". . . policies that do not survive the legislative process." This would be the circumvention.

LogicalSC| 9.8.09 @ 11:10AM

Well, of course, he was hired by Obama anyway.

Anybody with a brain knows that Barack Obama is a racist nutjob just like Jeremiah Wright and this Van Jones loon.

Great job, Leftists. Electing a miserable racist in the 21st century to the Presidency.

Michael L. Hauschild| 9.8.09 @ 11:12AM

How Condonesque, the liberal left was seeking a Black Ronald Reagan and all everyone got was “The Reparations Candidate.”

myna| 9.8.09 @ 11:12AM

I think Valerie Jarrette are in the wrong set of ideology. This would result in malcontent. Does she think that others can be mold to a mindless followers like they have?

Jitter| 9.8.09 @ 11:24AM

Thank you to Glenn Beck for the great job that you and fox news are providing to the American people who enjoy freedom!

Sue| 9.8.09 @ 11:57AM

It's more of that "hope" "change" and "fundamentally changing America." Some people just barely left of center and just barely right of center will give up their freedoms to "circumvent" Congress to "get things done."

You know who you are, and we're not letting you do it to us either.

The government bureaucracy TODAY is killing prosperity and growth; what would 100,000 more pages of regulations do to us? Kill us off even quicker.

Anon| 9.8.09 @ 12:07PM

The Democrats are just another group to Obama. He wants to be free of their power, too. This is about his autonomy to do what he wants and to stay in power. Beholden to no one.

Al Adab| 9.8.09 @ 12:23PM

It amazes me that anyone is surprised by all this. Our state religion idolizes Diversity, Choice, Tolerance, Hope and Change. Implementing those beliefs is simply a function of Faith. Unfortunately for us all, that Faith is misplaced as it represents adherence to Central Planning and elitist (statist) power over free markets.

President Obi-One, aka Al Naqis, is simply following through with his pledges to "fundamentally remake America". We got what we asked for, eh?

Al Adab| 9.8.09 @ 12:38PM

Deborah D:

Great link above. I confirm that I am a troglodyte. Limited government and Constitutional law indeed. Why bother when we have Hope and after all, "it's the right thing to do" equals the ends justify the means. Sorry, must have gotten some cynicism with breakfast.

Willa| 9.8.09 @ 1:07PM

So, is Valerie Jarrett the actual president? I've been wondering who was actually running Obama, who seems an empty suit. Is our first black president also a female? She should come out, then!

shliiiiiiiiiiii| 1.3.10 @ 5:53PM

she is.... will be credited for the job.
Obama is a disposable quantity for Jarrett.

Deborah D| 9.8.09 @ 1:29PM

Al Adab -- Thanks so much. There are reasons for American parents to be leery of this guy. He and his administration have hidden (and now not so hidden) agendas, and the American people are catching on.

Concerned Citizen| 9.8.09 @ 1:35PM

Wondering when the ABC, CBS, and NBC's will catch up to the curve and start actually reporting truth about this corrupt administration. To let a guy in the White House who is an admitted communist is an atrocity, lagging closely behind this unprecedented BS is the MSM purposefully hiding information from the American people.

Gill O’Teen ✝✡| 9.8.09 @ 2:22PM

Don’t Tread on Me!!

Al Adab| 9.8.09 @ 2:40PM

Deborah, Gill:

Now that we are gaining a clearer view of this President's agenda, there is in fact cause for concern. His dictator of the day world tour, his incessant apologies for America, his increasing top heavy administration (vis so-called Czars) of the executive Dept. and now a plan to chair the U. N. Security Council meeting on Sept. 24th.

It is plain that to this President it is all about him. This is the second Democrat in a row with such a narcisstic world view. You are right Deborah, the hidden agenda is in view. Be leery.

One commie flushed out, a couple hundred more to go. Keep up the good work, Beck.

Michael Tomlinson| 9.8.09 @ 5:25PM

Willa, Barack Obama the vaginal President is the first "female President." Bill Clinton was the first "black President."

An American| 9.8.09 @ 9:13PM

We can only hope that the Van Jones debacle taints Obama in American's eyes...as I believe it should. People look at who you are surrounding yourself with, who's politics and ideas you agree with...most presidents wouldn't pick someone that they didn't agree with politically, especially for a Czar job. Obama hired him, now he can live with that decision....and there are more commies and nuts on Obama's list of Czars...hopefully, we can expose them before they do anymore damage.

i see this show....
Jarrett was born to American parents James E. Bowman and Barbara Taylor Bowman in Shiraz, Iran, where her father, a pathologist and geneticist, ran a hospital for children as part of a program where American doctors and agricultural experts sought to help jump-start developing countries' health and farming efforts. When she was five, the family moved to London for one year, returning to Chicago in 1963.

As a child she spoke Persian and French.[3]

You can see how to do this in the videos, but basically you need to jump up when the Hydra is about to strike. He will rear one of his heads back to attack and his eyes will bulge out. When this happens, jump up in the air and then try to land on top of his head. That head will get knocked out. When all five heads get knocked out, the Hydra will be asleep and you can click on him to get one of the scales. Poptropica I’ll have a full written walkthrough very soon, but in the meantime, here are some answers to some of the frequently asked questions about Mythology Island. Having trouble? Post a question in the comments and I’ll try to answer it!
Getting Hercules to Help You

Hercules won’t help you until you have all five items from Zeus’ quest. Once you have the five items, bring them to Athena. Zeus will appear and steal them. The big jerk! Once this happens, talk to Athena and she will tell you that Hercules will help you. You’ll need to have the magic mirror from Aphrodite because Hercules doesn’t want to have to walk. He’s so lazy!

They actually think that the Lemming Brigade is too mentally challenged to see that Sherrod firing blamed on Breitbart is an obvious fraud. This is the administration that shoves health care through and puts a Stimulus Bill through - both contrary to public oinion and doesn't care about the damage that the people know it will do to the US. They want US to believe that they cared about Breitbart or Beck. Audacity of HOPE that the people who elected Obama president are still acting like mentally challenged analysts. It is obvious with the 10% unemployment and incredibly poor Gulf oil response and increasing national debt that this administration is either inept or INTENTIONALLY DESTROYING FREE ENTERPRISE AMERICA! It is obvious to me by the people in power that the latter is the case. They have inflicted far too much damage to not intend to do it.
“The danger to America is not Barack Obama but a citizenry capable of entrusting a man like him with the presidency. It will be easier to limit and undo the follies of an Obama presidency than to restore the necessary common sense and good judgment to a depraved electorate willing to have such a man for their president. The problem is much deeper and far more serious than Mr. Obama, who is a mere symptom of what ails us. Blaming the prince of the fools should not blind anyone to the vast confederacy of fools that made him their prince. The republic can survive a Barack Obama, who is, after all, merely a fool. It is less likely to survive a multitude of fools such as those who made him their president.”

Sonny!!!| 7.30.10 @ 3:35PM

After reading this article, I truely wonder how many closet communists are in this administration? If Joseph McCarthy was alive today, he would have had a field day with this bunch, and then all the progressives, and The New York Times could cry foul until hell freezes over.
