Primetime McCain

He has new friends...and old detractors. Obama's minimum wage pay scale. A Ridge to nowhere. Icy in Georgia. Plus more.

BEGONE TOM br> Re: Jeffrey Lord's Pennsylvania Conservatives Say No to Ridge : /p> p>Should John McCain win, it is a sure thing that he would be a one-term president (age). Rather than an uninspiring and "wooden" Tom Ridge for VP, McCain should be looking for a fresh face and provide four years of exposure to the public in the development of a solid Republican presidential contender in four year's time. A major part of the allure of Obama is that he is a relatively fresh face; the Republicans would be wise to match a fresh face with a trusted face and attract people who do want a real change, not just a slogan! br> -- Bill br> Oakton, Virginia /p> p> If a Pennsyltuckian is needed, let us not forget Rick Santorum who, despite his Senate loss, remains an attractive conservative--or, for that matter, John Kasich of Ohio, a Pennsylvania native. br> -- Richard Donley br> New Lyme, Ohio /p>
