Batman and Rush: Why McCain Will Win

OK. I'll walk out on a limb.

This election has already been decided. It's over. The winner is John McCain.

How, you are asking, could anybody be so utterly stupid to say such a thing in August? What about the polls showing Obama ahead? Haven't I heard about Obama-mania? The conventions haven't even been held!

Well, since you asked, I'll tell you.

Yes, I know how to read the polls. I've seen the television coverage of the adoring Obama crowds. Followed the "triumph" of the Obama European tour. Know that in some eyes McCain is "old." I've heard all the usual buzz about potential VPs and which possible number two brings what to which ticket. Listened to the usual back-and-forth between the rival campaigns. "Did so!" "Did not!" Yada-yada-yada, as Seinfeld might say.

To which I say: So what?

If you really want to know the outcome of this election, the answers are out there to be found right now. Look around. Take a good hard look at what is going on around us all. It requires only that we understand what we are seeing, beginning with two much reported events of the summer.

First, The Dark Knight broke movie records with first day earnings of over $66 million. The film has broken one record after another, just as films like Star Wars or a Star Wars sequel or Spiderman or a Spiderman sequel did in their time. All by himself, Bloomberg tells us, Batman is poised to boost Hollywood towards a record year of $10 billion in box office sales.

Second. Simultaneous to the huge success of The Dark Knight, Rush Limbaugh has celebrated his 20th year as the host of his nationally syndicated number one radio show, signing an 8-year contract for a reported $400 million. His show is heard on approximately 600 stations around the country, with the president of Premiere Radio Networks saying the show enjoys an "unprecedented platform of radio affiliates." In recent weeks Rush has received one big happy fist pump from everyone including but not limited to the President of the United States and the "Dittoheads" who listen to him regularly as part of an audience of 20 million a week.

So, as might be phrased by another character out of the world of Batman, riddle me this.

Why is Batman so popular? Why is Rush so popular? And what in the world does the popularity of either have to do with asserting as fact that Senator McCain has already won the presidential election over Senator Obama?

The answer is: you. "You" defined as a cultural American.

NO ONE OUT THERE -- with the exception of novelist Andrew Klavan's recent perceptive piece on Batman and President Bush in the Wall Street Journal -- seems to understand just why The Dark Knight is such a hit. With all due respect to the filmmakers, actors Christian Bale and the late Heath Ledger, the real star of this film is indisputably Batman. But just who is Batman? And why does he make those connected with him so rich every time he shows his cowl?

Batman is the cinematic (and comic book) personification of the way Americans like to see themselves. He is a rebel against the Establishment (and likewise with the Star Wars crew and Spiderman.) He is unafraid to act. He is willing to take risks. He could not possibly care less about what "feels good" or whether anything he says or does "makes sense" to a single other person. He runs on instinct. He is here to do the right thing. Nothing more, nothing less. He has a vision of Gotham City, a dream, that is not unlike the favorite phrase associated with his friend Superman (another movie sensation): Truth, Justice and the American Way.

Rush Limbaugh is the Batman of the airwaves. The reason Rush is celebrating 20 years on the air and is being rewarded with that great contract is precisely because he has the same qualities as Batman. Rush Limbaugh is a conservative rebel, instinctively so. He believes in the power of the American dream. Most importantly, he lives it, right down there in his own Bat Cave, his "Southern Command." He is completely unafraid to say exactly what's on his conservative mind, and couldn't care less what his liberal establishment critics say about him. Like Batman, he runs on his instincts, hopping into his broadcasting Batmobile daily and saying forthrightly that he knows what's wrong and how it should be fixed.

batman doesn't exist in real life.

mc-light| 10.23.08 @ 8:55AM

John - your mamma does, though, and she looks like john mcCain.

john| 10.23.08 @ 9:45AM

still doesnt change the fact that batman doesnt exist in real life. if my mama look like mcCain, ur mama look like obama

George| 10.23.08 @ 11:13AM

You might as well have said McCain will win because Americans like Beanie Babies. Your analysis is ridiculous claptrap.

George| 10.23.08 @ 11:15AM

BTW, I saw "The Dark Night" and nearly fell asleep.
Which is why I am voting for Obama.

ART SWENSON| 10.26.08 @ 7:32AM

Everyone loves a flying war hero McCain will win by land slide. Heros win just like the ones in the Film Recon 7 Down,

Mel| 10.26.08 @ 11:05PM

Wow, this article sounded ignorant back in August, but it's positively hilarious now! Turns out "not thinking too much" has its limit, and it's somewhere just this side of Sarah "Pitbull in a Valentino Jacket" Palin.

zlgriff| 10.27.08 @ 5:27AM

Obama is an idiot! If that thing wins, you'll all be getting just what you deserve, a ruined country, weak and a sitting duck to our enemies. Why doesnt anyone ever ask why Palestinians, Russians,Iranians, Venezuela and Kadafi all support obama? Hmmm....All of our enemies support Obama, doesn't that tell you something? Obama is living in a fantasy world saying he wants a nuclear free world, get a grip . He will do away with our military and weapons, I bet Russia will just Love that, wait until Russia uses their weapons against us and we won't have any because of a "i live in candy land" Obama idiot! Maybe we s hould all build bomb shelters or as Obama would want, go out and hug trees and tip toe through the tulips. Obama knows how to work the dumb masses...most if not all liberal democrats work on emotion, not logic and Obama knows that. Sad when you can see the country going down in flames and people are too stupid to do anything about it. Oh well....que cera cera.

Grissie| 10.27.08 @ 8:14AM

zlgriff:
Is it not amazing the ignorance of the people of this country ? Economy in the Tank, Government de-facto nationalization of the banks, the rise of a man from the obscurity of filthy Chicago politics. Friends, colleagues every questionable form of bottom feeder, Frank Marshall Davis, Ayers, Rezko, ACORN, and let us not leave out Jeremiah Wright, the America hating supposed preacher incognito. Had that been John McCains preacher he would have been labeled a racist from the git go. Well I'm calling Wright a racist right here and now. By his own admission he hates the White Race.
Obama a documented Member of the DSA (Democratic Socialists of America), uncovered by Selwyn Duke from articles the "Wipe Squad" missed. All Obamas supposed wonders in "Community Service". The political messiahs district riddled with documented building violations. Common knowledge he facilitated Rezkos title of "Slumlord King" who became a major campaign fund raiser. The liberal medias "free pass" to a man whos past has all but completely wiped off the internet. Obamas campaign accusing the Republican Party of not vetting Sarah Palin, thats pretty ironic since Barack Obama from his past associations could not pass a Top Security Clearance, and he's a presidential candidate ? His birth certificate does not have a seal, as is required by the government as an official document. His birth records blocked at the hospital where he was said to be born. No answers to questions when directly asked just round the mulberry tree leftist rhetoric. Obama commits the biggest gaffe of all to Joe The Plumber and his leftwing attack dogs start destroying this regular citizens life. Obama is a liar pure and simple. He is a marxist pure and simple. When its far to late the masses will be crying foul. To bad they couldn't be bothered to research this Left-Wing Nut job before they cast their votes. It may just come down to the old quip, "Read it and weep".

Daniel | 10.27.08 @ 10:53PM

You ignorant inbred right wing fools. Learn to read! Learn to write! The repuglicans are done. Finished. The 50s have ended!

I will pay more taxes under Obama's plan. I make too much money to do oterwise and I am glad to do it! What have you small thinking marmosets ever done for your country? I help pay for it. Basta!

Daniel| 10.27.08 @ 10:54PM

OTHERWISE. OTHERWISE. OTHERWISE.

john| 10.28.08 @ 3:12AM

Batman still doesnt exist in real life n there are alot of allies supporting obama too. (ref to zlgriff) if that is so, then i concur that your opinion is off the mark n need further study zlgriff.

zlgriff| 10.28.08 @ 10:29AM

we'll just wait and see what happens. you liberal short buses will find out, at the end if we aren't all dead or homeless by then, I'll be laughing at you. Sad that you can't see past your own nose. Morons.. to John, typical of a lib, you still haven't rebuffed why America's enemies support Obama, he may have some allies too, but what about the ones I mentioned? You libs really like to dance around the question don't you and get mad when you are faced with a real one...maybe when you all get done tip toeing through the tulips you will finally wake up and see, gosh...we don't live in rainbow land.... maybe the lib mascot should not be a donkey (ass) though that fits, it should be the ostrich

Rickyb| 10.28.08 @ 1:29PM

Daniel - name calling never gets anyone anywhere.
I personally wonder if you have seriously investigated your own parties dealings with the economic crisis. Go back to where it all started and you will find your own candidates fingerprints all over the beginning collapse. I hope you won't mind continuing to pay for it or will you allow the government to take care of it?

John| 10.29.08 @ 3:41AM

zlgriff, then what about the allies who like obama? u havent explained to me why that is so.

John| 10.29.08 @ 3:51AM

what if what u guys said does not happen. instead obama turns the economy around and generally improves on the previous administration? what will u say then? thats just it, most of what is said here are assumptions of what will happen. You and I both dont know what will happen in the future. I just think the past is bad enough n that we shld give change a chance. lets face the facts here, i think mccain is intellectually no match for obama.

Rickyb| 10.29.08 @ 8:59AM

John, sometimes change is good but we can't blindly go with change for change 's sake. I also don't think intelligence is a bad thing but experience will come in more handily in our trying times.

Daphne Kenward| 10.29.08 @ 12:12PM

America is a big place, if there is 300 Million people in America, And Coca Cola sells one can of CoCa Cola to each American in one day it is =$300 Million Us Dollars.

So if the Box office are taking in Millions it does not necessarily mean the economy is healthy.

What Americas economy says loud and clear is its not about who can see a film, it's about who can pay their mortgage, and who has a job.

The economy slows down at a gradual pace, the more it slows down the deeper the crisis gets.

No government can run a country based on who can see a movie.
Its not logical and further more it makes no sense.
America is heading towards printing money economy, with nothing to back it up with, it's like cutting up worthless bits of news paper, and using it to trade with, the rest of the world will get to the point where it is like the Zimbabwe economic situation, where you need a whole barrel load of dollar bills to go to the movies. Not a cleaver place to be.

What Americans needs to do is look at your economy and your balance of trade deficit, with China and the rest of the world. You can't pay for your goods you can't have them. You can't pay your mortgage, you can't have the house.
Your employer can't sell his manufactured goods to any one, they don't need you, so you end up out of work.
These are the things that tell you if your economy is working not the rubbish I am reading on this page, all it tell me about a people is they lack common sense are even more obvious, they lack basic education.

Rickyb| 10.29.08 @ 12:33PM

Daphne, I think you have some points right but not enough depth to really sell your argument. If Joe Blow is spending his money frivolously, what then? If Sally Jo gets a mortgage she knows she can't afford, who takes the blame? People who work hard and are budgeting within their means and are planning a retirement (and are successful) should not have to bail out everyone else. Think about it.

PaulD| 10.30.08 @ 8:02AM

I dont HATE Obama but I cannot stand his bulk support group where I live in Atlanta.
I hear I am voting for him because he is a strong black man......WTF.
I thought we where not in the 50's.Is this double standard going to go on?Why do I hear all the white,Caucasian comments from racist ignorant people like D.L. hugley(SP) about white people. Why do i hear from 16-25 year old black people how in the last 20 years they have had to deal with a un fair shot?

This same ignorance will elect Obama and not because he is the best choice but rather the color of his skin.

My major problem with Obama is I dont trust his resolve when it comes to military action, the we need to fun a private sector to do this scares the crap out of me.I am not sure white America will tolerate a black leader sad as it is I fear for my children if something happened to him.
I also fear more economic backlash from a trickle down effect if he does the things he says with taxes.Sounds good on paper but corporate America will offset the cost to get the same bottom line,we will pay more just not in taxes everything will cost more.

I also have a comment about the people who say they are rich and support Obama and have paid for this country you are small minded uneducated and have no clue.

Working class people pay for this country,FIGHT for this country and die for this country.
Being a Marine and my family doing the same now for 3 generations I can say this with pride.

My Grandfather fought in WW2 was a POW and died in the comfort of his own home.

My Father fought in NAM as a motorman and now is a very wealthy man makes an average income of 7-9 million a year net and does not agree with Obama.

Myself and Brother Fought in Iraq and are not home me in Atlanta my brother in STL.

Who ever you vote for just think it threw and dont let skin color make your mind up.

The Devils biggest lie is making people believe he does not exist.
Dont believe everything you see, take the time and educate yourself or dont vote.

As much as its a right it is also a privilege and should be honored and respected.

God Bless

Big Mo| 11.1.08 @ 11:22PM

Yes, McCain will win on November 4th. He will win the popular vote by approximately 750,000 votes, along with 282 electoral votes, enough to easily seal the election. This 2008 election will be determined by the female voter, and here's why: In 2004 there was an overall 64% voter turnout. Among blacks, the turnout was 60%. Blacks represent approx. 12.5% of the general population. Among women, the turnout in 2004 was 65%. They represent 50% of the population. Not all blacks will vote for Obama, just because he's black. And not all women will vote for McCain, just because of Sarah Palin. Of course not. But enough traditionally democrat-voting women will be turned off by Obama and inspired by Sarah Palin-- including the former Hillary supporters-- to swing this election. The women are a huge voting block in this country. Party's offer. McCain will win. I've done some serious number-crunching to arrive at my figures. Since this comment is time and date stamped, you will in a few days be able to see the accuracy of my prediction, made on Sunday evening, Nov 1st, 2 days before the election.

Solar| 11.2.08 @ 1:22AM

@Obama Rules:

Remember further up in the posts where someone said liberals react with emotion? Well, it showed when you misquoted Gov. Palin. It's not whether paying taxes is patriotic... it's about asking for or being made to pay HIGHER taxes. Do you now see the difference? Yes, we know our tax dollars pay for infrastructure and programs... we go it. Most folks (Repubs & dems too, I believe)) realize how absurd it is to wrap up the age-old liberal tax-increase tendency in Patriotism. You like the patriotic angle on taxes, huh? Would it be patriotic to double your taxes? Why not triple them? Are you suddenly feeling less patriotic? Thought so... join the rest of us and let's keep taxes where they are (which means to renew the Bush tax cut that is set to expire soon) and quit buying into nonsensical Joe Biden gaffes...

Go McCain...

unconventional wisdom| 11.2.08 @ 12:43PM

It is clear to me that Obama will lose. Oddsmakers have him at 1-7, while McCain is at 4-1. Most sucker betters see the 1-7 as a good reason to put their hard earned money on Obama because it is viewed as a "lock." My $250 bet on McCain will yield $1000.00. I would bet more but my wife doesn't feel comfortable doing so. I respect her and would not want to interfere with my marriage over this. To me, it's a form of investing. I was once compulsive, but learned from my mistakes. The oddsmakers know how to capitalize on idiots. Don't be one. Don't be fooled by the polls. McCain will win. There is more of a silent majority that rules. The blabbing idiots can not take over. Besides, if, by chance, I am wrong as many would say, my $250 loss will not even compare to the loss of our freedom if that commy bastard Obama gets in. God bless America.
-unconventioanl wisdom

Rob| 11.2.08 @ 12:54PM

Great article. Rush rules America.

Rob| 11.2.08 @ 12:56PM

Unconventional, I love it.

McCain or Leave America| 11.2.08 @ 8:20PM

The uneducated, tax loving trash will vote for Obama.

Big Mo| 11.2.08 @ 10:29PM

What is hialrious to me is that in a couple of days when this election is over, all the talking heads on TV will be able to tell you exactly why Obama lost. These are the same "experts" who today are predicting an Obama win. Yet they will suddenly become experts on why he lost, and once again they'll be wrong, without even knowing it. They'll say America wasn't ready for a black president WRONG. I'd vote for Walter Williams, any day of the week. They'll say McCain unfairly ran attack ads. WRONG. It was Obama who unfairly ran deceitful attack ads. At least McCain's ads were truthful. They'll say Biden was the wrong VP choice. WRONG again. He could've picked anybody on the face of the planet and still lost. Why? Because Obama is a Marxist, plain and simple. And even after he loses on Tuesday, the mainstream media STILL won't get it!

Dean| 11.3.08 @ 3:55PM

I'll tell you why McCain will win, because this country, contrary to what we're led to believe, is ruled by an elite class of individuals "hell bent" on executing their agenda. It's clear that Obama should win the presidential election based upon numerous polls, surveys, etc (which many dismiss as not meaning anything). It's been rehashed, over and over, that McCain, although extremely far behind Obama, that this election is still a coin toss. This has all happened before - then again, why waste my breath? In a nation full of gluttonous sheep, no one takes note of historical trends.
Furthermore, before I get hacked by McCain supporters, let me state that I was not thrilled this year, as in reality I was "given" the choice of Mussolini or Lenin, unless I wanted to throw my ballot in the trashcan.

pure heart| 11.3.08 @ 11:46PM

He will Win Because Americans are not ready to give the country away.

Christian| 11.4.08 @ 12:43PM

You people are barbarians. John McCain will seal America's fate as a disgraced, collapsed nation, and we'll likely take the world's economy with us. Our only hope is Obama.

Marion| 11.4.08 @ 4:45PM

Obama should never even have been a candidate. It is unbelieve how so much of the American people have literally been hypnotized by his lies and dancing around the issues. If he wins, we ALL will be in a lot of trouble, whether it be the dismantling of our constition, free speech, open borders, continuing to rub shoulders with heinous terrorists, and the sucking of money out of our paychecks. I work really hard for my meager salary and I support three children by myself as the father died. If Obama thinks he will take even more out of my paycheck, I will stop working and collect welfare just like the people he plans on paying from my paycheck. Whoever has voted and wants Obama: Be careful what you wish for.

OBAMADON| 11.4.08 @ 9:49PM

Well its over boys. This entire topic was retarded and the republican party has ALOT of soul searching to do. Looks like Palin is getting her shine box and heading home. No wilder effect for you hopeful racists!

Static Invasion| 11.5.08 @ 3:44AM

Hahahhahahahaa!! Thank goodness Obama won. I wonder what Palin's gonna do now?

Sarah| 11.5.08 @ 10:23AM

Wow, the guy who wrote this looks like a real jack ass now.

Diva| 11.5.08 @ 10:41AM

Well, Well, Well...Looks like Mccain/Palin has lost. What you got to say now?? Huh? Can't hear you...what???

Go Obama !!

JAr Jar Binx| 11.5.08 @ 7:27PM

HAHAHAHAHA. Another fool who believed that we were naive to trust the crazy lead Obama had. There are some things that have turnarounds but please believe me when I say this. Life is not a fairy tale. Sometimes a damn lead means yours goin to freakin win...... GAWRSH!!!! OBAMA OBAMA OBAMA!

Wayne Bruce| 11.6.08 @ 2:32AM

This is what you get for comparing Batman to Rush Limbaugh. You're out of touch, Limbaugh is out of touch, and the GOP as you know it is out of touch with the mindframe of the modern American. We dont like gut reactions; that frame of thought landed us two wars and a recession. I'm looking forward to a president who will use that "egg head" of his. Next time don't try to predict an election you had no clear sense of to begin with.

hahaha| 11.6.08 @ 10:37AM

Well, now that Obama has won, doesn't all this bluster sort of fall flat? Better luck in 2012. Hahaha.

John D| 11.6.08 @ 11:43AM

Lol, next time you try to predict a presidential election... Maybe you shouldn't use comic book characters?

Retard.

@McCain or Leave America| 11.6.08 @ 11:45AM

Keep going for your current demographic boys.....soon you'll be winning Alabama and nothing else.....LOLOLOL

kaitlyn| 11.6.08 @ 9:51PM

zlgriff..
you are an absurd idiot. i am a democrat and i understand that we don't live in a powderpuffed world & i believe with all my heart that Obama understands that too. Bet you a lot of people voted for Obama that have way more complicated problems then your selfish ass. Obama is an amazing man. Over the past 8 years our Nation has gone to shit and guess who was in office?? A Republican!! well laa-tee-frickin'-da! how could so many people have been wrong over the past eight years!?? and bet you anything YOU are one of the morons who voted for Bush...one of the "American Heros" that don't think, but act off a whim! where in the hell has that gotten us now? everything that comes out of your mouth is bullshit (typical republican) & ignorant. i know of some intelligent republicans and you sure as shit aren't one of them. McCain made an amazing acceptance speech that almost brought me to tears, but that is all I'm giving him. He sounded sincere and like a genuine guy, but i still am going for Obama and support Obama. and "Yes We Can" and we did get Obama to become our current President! And "Yes We Can" turn this Nation around with Obama leading it and not wasting precious time acting on a whim, but logically thinking and trying to save a crumbling Nation. plus, Palin is hot and all, but like my uncle said "I don't want to see Palin as our next Vice President, but in the next centerfold of a Playboy magazine". She may be intelligent yet slipped-up & said some absolutely retarded things under pressure, but she doesn't belong in VP. I respect her for becoming a woman of power in Alaska of middle-class, but no no no. OBAMA*BIDEN
so all you ass holes who think us democrats think everything is all hunky-dory YOOOUU need to wake-up because we don't. we aren't frickin'blind. we aren't fools (well some may be..), and we aren't completely against fighting, but we would rather find working alternatives instead of sending our loved ones out to fight for how many gosh damn years now!?? I would rather have Jon home. the army is a sack of shit liars who will say anything to get a kid drafted. the marines led a loved one other then jon in my family to believe that they pay for their 'leave' and will pay for the time they spend home....not the case. Jon can't come home for Thanksgiving as planned because they will not help financially and so he is saving up to come home for Christmas where when he leaves we may not see him for four years if not more. Screw that, i want him home. and why start a fucking war with russia when we already have our asses up against the wall in economic distress. Wars aren't cheap you idiots. We are already struggling for more troops and some republicans want to start a war with russia now too. you that think that are such MORONS!! and yes..96% of the black community voted for Obama. Soooo?? your point? Blacks are also one of the minorities in voting although around 16% or whatever more blacks are registered to vote this year.....that still leaves a hell of a lot of white people who voted for Obama..like my parents! woooow, white people voting for a black person. what a concept. He is the better choice whether you say they were voting for the "best choice" or not. He was the best choice and even if some only voted due to race they still magically made the right choice and i'm glad of that.
i'm done ranting and raving because i could go on forever. and i guess this wasn't just addressed to zlgriff, but everyone.

Obama lovin'always,
Kaitlyn...your 15 (almost 16!!) year-old hot head.

Big Mo| 11.7.08 @ 10:36PM

Well, Kaitlyn, you little potty-mouthed know-it-all 15 year old. If you were my daughter I'd wash your mouth out with soap. You've been brainwashed by your bleeding-heart liberal parents who obviously didn't do a good job of either raising you, or educating you. You know nothing about the world, or the world of politics. Obama will go down in history as the laughing-stock president of the United States. He is evil, inept, and downright stupid. But he sure duped enough naive people like you, didn't he? God save us all.

KRXAHAL| 11.9.08 @ 7:54AM

Batman is Rush . . .Rush is Batman. Last time I checked Batman wasn't 1) a pathological liar, 2) a drug addict, 3) morbidly obese. Hmm Jeffrey, you might want to rethink this one.

Ryan Edgington| 11.9.08 @ 5:06PM

so McCain won huh?

Big Mo| 11.10.08 @ 7:14PM

The ONLY reason McCain isn't headed to the White House is because 109 million eligible voters DID NOT VOTE. Too many Republicans sat on their lazy duffs, not wanting to wait in line to vote. Now THEY are some of the ones complaining about the outcome! Yes, Obama was elected by around 28% of the voters. Note I wrote voters, not votes. Anyone who calls that a "landslide" is a moron who doesn't understand 3rd grade math. God help this country.

yvonne| 11.11.08 @ 6:29PM

BIG MO: you were so sure of yourself. guess ou feel like a complete jackass now.

i assure you....re-pubic-ans DID vote.

it's just that some of them changed their mind and voted for THAT ONE.

obama was elected by 28% of the voting populace? you're lying, and you know it. it's just pathetic. your entire post drips with sore-loserism.

yvonne | 11.11.08 @ 6:33PM

BIG MO: by the way...

you claimed that someone is "evil, inept, stupid, a laughing stock..." etcetera?

that's our sitting president, genius.

well, maybe he's not completely stupid. but he is definitely a laughing stock. even conservatives pan bush.

obama hasn't served as president yet. he hasn't been inaugurated yet. if you can point to how he has disserved the country as president, compared with the least popular president, george bush, THEN your statements will have some veracity.

at this point, you are just repeating what you heard from rush and hannity. no substance....

Dave| 11.14.08 @ 8:49PM

Look, you pissed-off Republicans have a choice. You can spend then next four (and very possibly eight) years pointing your doom-and-gloom fingers at Obama. You can rerun the tape of all the trumped-up crap you said against him during the election. Circumstances--and there will always be such opportunities in politics--like Ohio's corrupt governor will allow you, if you choose that direction, to pretend that our president-elect is tainted by every crook or crazy he's ever stood in a room with--despite the fact that the tape showed the gov crook quite piqued with BO's refusal to play ball. You can ignore the needs of your country and spend your time and energy this way but it is unpatriotic in these desperate times to do so. Perhaps you could consider joining the "73% of adults {who} approve of the way he is handling the transition and his preparations for becoming president" (poll reported by today's HufPost). What do you think?

This "Prediction" is making the rounds and making us laugh at the Rushpublican party. "The Fightin' Thirty-Five Percenters".

Has anyone noticed that this is the way the new-Republicans want Americans to behave; that they want a nation of non-thinking, reactionary numb-skulls ? They want us to be those silly domestic violence offending hillbillies you see on that show COPS. "Don't think. Just react." That is stupidity. The character Batman thought and reacted accordingly or he would not be successful in his little crime fighting/detective work. And the only thing Rush Limbaugh and Batman have in common is that they are both fictional, cartoon characters created for our amusement.
