Obama and His Minister

Yes, we do need a national dialogue on race.

Prediction: This Obama episode will once more show how the new technology is transforming political debate. Balz conveyed in his piece that the Washington Post will be good soldiers and won't do anything more than absolutely necessary to upset the race industry, of which the Post is a part. But how could the web and the blogs and e-mail be controlled? That's what bothered Dan Balz.

"The danger," he wrote, as though he were already on the Obama team, "is that what might last are the images of his Chicago pastor -- edited and reedited into television ads, YouTube videos and an endless stream of e-mails delivered quietly into the computers of millions of Americans."

Delivered right into our homes! The good news is that the mainstream media no longer control the political debate. That indeed is the danger for Obama.

Well said I agree and admire you for your writing. I, just two days ago ,sent a memo to all of my friends white and black, about proud to be white, but why does the black have the black ms.America, or the black college fund? well it was 1/2 half that became defensive and did not understand my point and the other half did and they were very kind to say so. If the whites had this they would be banned and scorned badly for this. Why can't this war amoung us stop. A house divided cannot stand and if you will look to see we are falling and falling fast. How can a man such as Obama stand behind a man like this pastor and back him and in the same breath say he loves America. Color has nothing to do with this. Instead it is more about talking out of both sides of your mouth . When are a few good men going to stand up and be counted for? What use to be good or right is now wrong and should not be. I think American is on her last leg and I pity our children all of them !
