More good news, which unfortunately we will not hear much of in the mainstream media. Thanks to Gen. Petraeus and like-minded commanders, we are seeing more of this as sound counterinsurgency principles plus civil military operations come to the fore in our approach to the Iraqis. Unfortunately, many in our craven, cowardly and corrupt Congress are far too ready to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory. Although we should have been doing this four years ago, better late than never, and it is showing results.p>Kudos to our commanders, particularly the company grade officers — Marine and Army alike — and the troops and NCO’s who are on the ground doing the dirty work.
