The Case for Freedom

Democracy hasn't failed in the Middle East. Rather, it has hardly been attempted, let alone defended, despite the Bush administration's commitments and correct understanding of its indispensability to U.S. national security.

This essay is the eighth in a ten-part series being published in successive issues of The American Spectator under the general title, "The Pursuit of Liberty: Can the Ideals That Made America Great Provide a Model for the World?"
