While rummaging around Baghdad
We found to our surprise
A mom's lode stash of documents
Appeared before our eyes
Guys were on Saddam's' payroll pad
Champagne not Old Grand-Dad
Baath petrodollars went their way
Surely they'd save the day

Some folks in doo-doo deep

Oil-for-food built palaces
While children could not eat
But Kofi gave Saddam a pass
He turned on us the heat
Security Council's Biggest Five
Were fed all Saddam's jive
Paris and Moscow on the take
No war call would they make
Cheap, cheap, cheap cheap
Their sell-out price was cheap

Ahmad C. sought action quick
He prodded Uncle Sam
But State and CIA said "No!"
The messenger they'd slam
Now Congress bid to make big noise
"Confiscate Kofi's toys!"
So Kofi for Paul Volcker sent
A hunting Volcker went
Weep weep, weep weep
Read bank statements and weep

Paper shredders went to work
All night at Turtle Bay
Making confetti out of memos
Just might save the day
Norm Coleman rode his great white steed
Taxpayer's friend indeed
Time to throw aides over the side
Lest jail dent Kofi's pride
Steep steep, steep steep
The price was getting steep

Volcker nailed some sleazy types
But left Kofi in place
Some aides protested -- no avail
The UN must save face
So Kofi sashays out in style
And Kojo cracks a smile
UN reform and staff de-tox
Coop guard by the fox!
