No matter what the facts or the law in a case, if the case is getting publicity, the judge will make the decision based on what is best for his or her (and their spouses') social life. Invites to the best parties and acclaim from friends and peers trumps what is right and the law most every time. Lifetime tenure in the legal system and the universities instead of freeing them to do what is right not what is popular now engenders group-think and cowardice. How like the cliques of High School days. br> --
