Your reader, Harry B. Turner, raises a good question about how the Burkett documents passed to Mary Mapes/CBS News came to have a fax footer from the Abilene Kinko’s. Unfortunately, he overlooks the most logical (and least dramatic) explanation, namely, that Mapes in her haste to get the ball rolling faxed the document(s) to her own office, so they could be copied for review by Emily Will and others.p>But, anyway, how ‘bout that de Waard lady?
