Relying on inside sources and air-defense intercepts, we've been
able to piece together the odd pre-holiday events at Democratic National Committee headquarters.
p> 'Twas just before Christmas and in a deep funk br> were Democrats whose Senate Majority'd sunk. br> Their House margin too saw a November fall-off br> but hey, at least they still had Terry McAuliffe. /p> p>When from the TV there arose such a din, br> they thought it was Trent Lott saying "sorry" again. br> But no, it was 60 Minutes causing the uproar br> with that Saturday Night Live character Al Gore. /p> p>His eyes how they twinkled! His hair was still raven!
